Been really struggling hard on this for the sake of seeing Jeremy again. ep. 17 kinda peaked up the romance snce I'm a fan of love triangle trope. But, the proposal and that kiss that I've been waiting for turned out an epic fail for me. I was waiting for the confession by Jeremy to be uttered in words but never came since the FL halted it. And that kiss that was shot in an angle and so far that you can't almost see it. Oh well, this ain't really my cup of tea. Even the supposedly funny parts can't make me even laugh a bit.
Still, My Uncanny Destiny won my heart for this year's historical romcoms. Plus the kisses there are surely on fire. Such a wasted potential for an ML who's a good kisser.

You got a point there. That's the sad thing about our reality today. Well, I usually watch dramas before wherein I can relate myself to drama's life situations. But, just recently, someone told me that I shouldn't relate whatever I watch in dramas in real life situations since, dramas should be an escape from reality. The reason we watch dramas is for us to feel satisfied. To be able to see things we don't get to see inreality. In which, I think has a point as well. That's why I always look for dramas to fulfill my romantic satisfaction which will never happen in my reality I guess. Unless, I pray for it in my next life as how they present it in XianXia dramas. hehehe

Not necessarily. I'm just after the romantic vibe of men's capability of what they can do for their woman. Regardless of who can do more in terms of their career. I just like watching MLs who are so loyal and willing to do everything for their woman inspite of fame and success. Some men tends to become a womanizer after gaining prestige, money, power and success in life. It's a rare phenomenon to see men who are loyal these days.

Currently, am halfway thru this drama. I didn't watch the first 2 franchise of this as I am not so into youth drama. The story isn't much interesting, The only reason I'm sticking into this is because of Anson Qiu. It's my first time to watch him in a drama and I find him cute. I liked his character here also. I liked that inspite of his high profile status, he remains loyal to his woman, that he does everything for her. I also liked how a jealous guy he was. And yes, he doesn't go for looks, that's the best thing about him.
Obviously, I'm not a fan of the FL. not only she doesn't have the physical attributes to be a FL. I don't like her character either. I feel like she's self-centered. I don't feel much her sincerity towards the ML. I don't like the supporting casts either. Like, there's not a single character that was quite interesting, except for Ashe the third wheel guy.
I just would like to see the wedding, that's why am holding on till the end.

I might have to agree on this. Jeremy is such a good kisser from what I saw in Be My Princess. This is just too slow burn for me. Down to the last 8 eps. still, no actual kiss have happened yet.

I guess, I'll have to look at Jeremy all the time just to survive this drama. 😂 I do prefer swordsmanship than martial arts, that's why i prefer watching Generals as ML than a Prince so to speak. Plus, I find Generals more romantic than Prince's. Probably, one main reason Generals have the option not to get a concubine compared to a Prince.
Anyways, yeah. i'll hold on still and see what romance this drama can offer ep. 12 onwards.

Currently at ep. 8, I'm just not feeling the vibe yet between the main leads. I'm definitely here for Jeremy Tsui. Always loved him from his other dramas. I'm just not sure why his eyeliner makeup was given emphasis this time. His eyes tends to get reddish most of the time like he just cried or something. Another bonus of this drama is Richard Li / Li Fei. Always been a fan of him as well.
I'm a bit struggling honestly, I find the pace too slow and dragging. Like I'm looking forward to a badass FL, but what we're getting so far is a weak, pretending to be sick, smart and wise FL. This is such a slowburn as well.
I'm just wondrin' when will the story peaks the romance . I guess, there are no fight scenes to expect since wuxia has not been tagged.
To compare this to My Uncanny Destiny, I think the comedy and romance there are way lot better. Plus the pacing is quite good too.

Got me hooked from Ep. 1. The chemistry between the leads are undeniably on fire. Loved the supporting couple too. A bit slow burn though, since it only has 10 eps, I believe they became an official couple around ep.7 or 8. But, I really love the sweetness. How I wish it would have been around 12 eps. I rarely watch Kdramas now a days. Been hooked to Cdramas. This was one of a few that I wouldn't want to miss. First time to watch the leads and they surely nailed their roles. Loved the action scenes as well. I really like a badass FL. Overall, it's 9.5 for me. Didn't gave it a 10 coz I would really want to see them on their wedding. A season 2 perhaps? 😁

I checked out this drama, first because Aaron Yan was the ML. I have been a fan of him since watching him in the dramas Just You and Fall In Love with Me. I never thought I would be able to watch him in his much younger years in this drama. Musically inclined this time, however, the image of an overbearing CEO in which his usual role is still there. And yes, who wouldn't like his good kisser image as well. I guess, him being part of the Farenheit band is quite an advantage for this role. Well, it's a bit sad for a fangirl like me to learn about his coming out just a few years back I believe. But, am happy for him that he is now free.
For the drama itself, there's nothing extraordinary in the story plot. Quite predictable. Aside from Aaron himself, of course, I enjoyed those steamy kisses. I enjoyed the finale song. I really prefer him singing than play the violin. Couples were paired just right. I really didn't like Seiko/Alice's character though she had a character development towards the end. I guess, what I really didn't liked was, she slept with both men.
Overall, it's a 7.5 for me just because of those steamy kisses and Aaron of course.

I guess that's true, but she did also felt responsible for her first love's death that's why Kang Doo confronted her when she was about to speak to the mom of her first love that she's suppose to tell that she's the reason of her son's death and Kang Doo told her what for? just add the agony and make the mom hate her more? in which Kang Doo has a point and he blurted out that all deaths in the world are not because of her. That's her problem, she always feels she's responsible for everything that's why I don't like her character. Like, come on, not every peoples lives evolved around and about her.
Besides, afterall the trauma that they went through, she kept on pursuing Kang Doo after he keeps on avoiding her thinking that he's not suitable for her that she deserves a better man. Then, she suddenly felt guilty of his nightmares which has already been going on from the start that she met him. I just find it illogical to breakup with someone with such non sense reasons.

How's the romance in this drama? I didn't watch any franchise on this series. I'm just into wuxia romance dramas. The rating is quite high so I got curious on it. I've checked the first 3 eps. The first ep was quite interesting about who gets the dragon saber but ep.2 and 3 gets annoying because of that lady character Ms. Yin being paired up to that 5th brother. Obviously, they're not the main leads so I just forwarded their scenes. Just curious how long when the main leads will show up?
Like I'm only interested on their love story.

I guess I would never really be a fan of melodramas. I decided to check this out because of the good reviews, comments and high rating. A bit drag on the first 2 eps. kinda picked up ep.3 onwards. Now, I'm on ep.10, the pace seem to be more slower, specially on the romance aspect. I just don't like the idea that the FL always chases the ML, the effort is very much lacking from the ML regardless of the trauma they've been. The only character I'm enjoying here honestly is Kang Doo's brother who wants to be a Panda in his next life. 😂
So slow burn... I wonder when the romance would actually perk up. Just 6 eps to go and the romance still feels one sided. This is my second time to watch FL. I liked her more in She Would Never Know. And the romance there is definitely at par from this.

I was able to complete the drama at this point. The romance did actually shoot up on ep.12-13 only. And tried its best to give a happy ending. Honestly, i didn't like the FL's character here. Like, she's willing to do everything for the ML, then she felt responsible for her first love's death and wants to give up on her relationship with ML, now, after knowing his sickness she wants to go back with him because she feels guilty again. I really think she deserves to be alone with that attitude. Aside from Sang Man, the only thing I liked in this drama are the character development of the antagonists. And yes, truly it is, Junho's portrayal is really commendable.

Overall, this is just a 7.5 for me. Didn't felt much the chemistry of the leads. the kisses are a bit lacking too. And yeah, it's a Kdrama TM that they're always good in presenting life and death situations. It has become a cliche for me.

Will definitely check out that link. Sadly, that partly ruined the drama. I was even looking forward for more kissing scenes between He Ran's mom and Yanqui.

I'm so not into melodramas but a big fan of romcoms. Obviously, this is not my cup of tea. But, just to compare this, I think the drama Falling Into You 2022 is way better than this. I love the character of the ML there. He also excels in what he does and a rich kid but there's not a single sign of arrogance on the ML's character there. And the chemistry of the leads there are surely on fire. I just can't see really the justification of an 8.8 rating drama here. that kind of rating should have got me hooked from ep.1.

Thanks for the headsup. I'm placing it again on hold after ep. 10. I just keep on forwarding and not enjoying the drama per se. I'll try to pick it up again probably a little later on.
