Been a fan of Li Xian since Go Go Squid. Am so not into melodramas but decided to give this a try given the high ratings and all the positive comments. Currently just on ep.6 and the pace is just too slow for me. Just wondrin' how long will the story peak up? Specially on the romance part.
At this point, I made it to ep.31 doing lots of skips. This is just too slow burn for me. Not really my cup of tea. I missed Li Xian's role in Go GO Squid. I prefer him doing those kind of roles. He used the same vehicle though JEEP SUV.
So, I was able to complete this by forwarding a lot. The kiss only happened on 3 eps. eps. 31, 39 and 40. I guess, I would never be a fan of slowburn dramas except for Sunshine of my Life. That drama was the only worth watching Slowburn for me. Kinda disappointed too with the supporting couples. Like I was hoping HU would end up with Damai and Nana with XiaXia. Sadly, none of them ended up together.
It took me awhile to finish this. I've always liked Jeremy Tsui not only of his acting skills but being a good kisser as well in his dramas. This was just a total disappointment as there was just only one kiss scene. Totally lacking of skinships. Yeah, lots of drag moments and the comedy is just off for me. I gave it a 7.5 for the happy ending. Li Fei is the bonus for this drama.
Finally, eps 17-18 was definitely a breather from serious talks. Jiang jiaojiao owned these 2 eps. I really liked his character development. And yes, Ms. Lou and Coach Yan definitely a new ship to cheer on. Almost halfway thru, I just hope the skinships for the main couple kicks in this time. And yeah, hope it would be as fiery as Falling Into You.

Yes, I am enjoying it because of the mature setup. Not really much a fan of youth dramas. Yeah, I guess it's a matter of belief. I really don't believe that strong base relationships are only built slowly. Sometimes whirlwind romances have better relationships because they don't waste their time getting to know each other. They're already sure of their feelings and enjoy every moment while already being together. I just want more lovey-dovey time for the main couple rather than being wasted bickering, unnecessary breakups or holding back because of their unsure feelings for each other. 😍
Definitely here for Wu Lei. It's quite refreshing to see him in a contemporary drama after Love Like the Galaxy. Same charm, physique and cuteness. I liked his role also that he has a mature mindset. FL's character is likeable too. I liked her smart, independent and definitely reliable. Story is also interesting. Though I find myself forwarding at times for some draggy parts. Not really a fan of too many talks so, I skip those. One downside of this drama is it is slowburn. So, I don't know how long will it take more before they become an official couple. And yeah, still, waiting for the kisses and skinships. It's nice to see Yu Tong for the second time after Begin Again. And yeah, Tu Song Yan in Go Ahead.

You got a point there. That's the sad thing about our reality today. Well, I usually watch dramas before wherein I can relate myself to drama's life situations. But, just recently, someone told me that I shouldn't relate whatever I watch in dramas in real life situations since, dramas should be an escape from reality. The reason we watch dramas is for us to feel satisfied. To be able to see things we don't get to see inreality. In which, I think has a point as well. That's why I always look for dramas to fulfill my romantic satisfaction which will never happen in my reality I guess. Not necessarily. I'm just after the romantic vibe of men's capability of what they can do for their woman. Regardless of who can do more in terms of their career. I just like watching MLs who are so loyal and willing to do everything for their woman inspite of fame and success. Some men tends to become a womanizer after gaining prestige, money, power and success in life. It's a rare phenomenon to see men who are loyal these days.
Currently, am halfway thru this drama. I didn't watch the first 2 franchise of this as I am not so into youth drama. The story isn't much interesting, The only reason I'm sticking into this is because of Anson Qiu. It's my first time to watch him in a drama and I find him cute. I liked his character here also. I liked that inspite of his high profile status, he remains loyal to his woman, that he does everything for her. I also liked how a jealous guy he was. And yes, he doesn't go for looks, that's the best thing about him. Obviously, I'm not a fan of the FL. not only she doesn't have the physical attributes to be a FL. I don't like her character either.
