same here. currently on ep. 9 and still struggling, I don't know how long can I hold on further. I really liked Arthur Chen in Ever Night, but, his character here seem just off. I'm just not feeling that romantic vibe or is this just way too slow burn?

This drama has been sitting awhile in my plan to watch list. Watched the first ep. and not feeling any vibe into it. decided to put it on hold and tried it back again. Now, i'm on ep. 5 and still not seeing any interesting so far. I liked Arthur Chen from Ever Night. So far, I'm just not feeling his character here yet. Like all I see is a gifted person who's highly skilled in programming and see himself quite arrogantly way knowledgable among his peers. Not even feeling the romance yet. Like I can see the FL keeps on chasing the ML, seems initmidated by the ML but unnoticeably falling for him.
It may seem too early to judge, but how long will this drama pick up to be that interesting to have this kind of soaring rating? At this point i have been forwarding already as I find it draggy.
Hope anyone can enlighten me if this is worth sticking on or dropping? I'm just not seeing yet the justfication on the 8.8 rating.

I must agree with the rest. The best Xianxia drama for the first quarter of this year. Though, still on top of my lists are ALP and LBFAD. That finale was a real tear jerker. But, yeah, it was an epic fail in terms of the happy ending as it was suppose to be. Story plot was definitely good. Had a few laughs on some parts. Good fight executions. Some hateable parts as well specially on Su Zhi's finale scenes. Landy Li really nailed her role as the FL. But my fave characters were Wudai and Emperor Tun/Liguang. It was nice to see Chen Xing Xu again from Fall In Love 2021 drama. and finally, this is the first drama I ever watched Dai Ya Qi (Zi Wu) play a not irritating role. Like, I always hate her in every role she portrays in a drama. And yes, just like in Fall In Love, they are brothers and sisters here again. Not a fan of Luke chen, but, the one i'll look forward more is Qin tian Yu. i find him cute portraying as Beast Realm Prince.
Aside from the not so perfect finale, I find the kisses and skinships quite too lacking here. And yeah, the collection of the 3 soul shards of Youqin ate most parts of the drama that made it seem draggy midway. For that, it's an 8.5 for me. Yet, this drama is still recommendable for its good story plot.

So, the video clips of the romantic moments of the main leads got me enticed to check out this drama. First, I'm really not a afan of Jerry Yan since his Meteor Garden, Dao Ming Si days. Like seeing him again with the same hairstyle feels like he wasn't able to move on with his roles. Second, this gave me a bit of A Walk to Remember vibe, only in a Chinese setting. I was abit hoping of a happy ending though that made me stick till the end, sadly, it is what I have expected.
Yes, the chemistry was there by the main leads, but, I felt more romance on He Rans' mom and Yanqui. Like, I felt more of the chemistry on them than on the main leads themselves.
I feel sad for Han Yu's character. Like, it was so unfair for him to have that unrequitted love. I just hope the writer at least gave him a partner towards the end.
And yes, I must agree with one of the reviews I read here, I also felt the same way, that it was too unfair for Xiao Han to learn about her sickness too late. And yes, being left without saying goodbye while FL's going thru treatment is such a selfish act. She doesn't want ML to see her suffer, yet she's making him suffer more by leaving him hanging on air. that ML doesn't know if he was just being played on or if what they're having is real or not. Just like what have Han Yu said in the end that even though she was sick, she got everything that she wanted, but these men who loved her are left scarred, broken. Like she got her own happy ending but the men who loved her did not.
Some other things I just need to point out as well are the editing. It is poorly done honestly. Like each sequence doesn't end in a timely manner, then another scene is just shown not correlating to the previous one. Another thing are the kisses. It may appear steamy for some, but for me they are poorly done. Like a kiss should be showcased long if you really want to show how passionate it should be. Even the kiss between Yanqui and He Ran's mom is very abrupt.
Overall, this is just a 7.5 for me. This is an overrated drama for a sad ending.

Try to check out Fall In Love 2021, It's a Republican era drama but he's definitely good looking there. 😍

Still contemplating a lot to watch this. I just started and currently on ep. 10. TBH, am struggling so far. It's so hard to watch a no skinship no kisses drama. I don't know if I would be able to stand that till the 87th ep. I'm just hanging on because I like Wallace Huo.
Story plot is a cliche afterall watching so many historical dramas. Romance wise, I'm still not feeling it honestly. Aside from no direct presentation of physical contact, i am so not fan of a Prince/Emperor who have lots of concubines and sleep with them all. Even if he treats the FL quite differently, for me it's all the same. Still, prefer a one woman man I guess. HEre, the ML is so kind to all. Like, sometimes you may not be able to distinguish that the FL is that special at all. I'll try to hold on further. Hope I'm not gonna drop this midway.
As it progresses, It's giving me the same vibe as the drama Palace of Devotion. It's all about the race to be able to bear a son for the Emperor who''ll be entitled as the next heir to the throne. And yeah, same vibe of being in love with FL but have to sleep with different concubines and FL can't be the official consort. ML is just so unlikeable here. I just can't feel the sense of loyalty wherein, he enjoys sleeping with his different concubines each night. Such an a*****.
It took 27 eps. to turn the tide. Such a long way to go. sigh. Currently at ep. 36. I just can't stand how women are being delivered to the Emperor to sleep with. Like naked wrapped in a duvet. FL here has extensive tolerance and patience toward the ML. It's an ultimate struggle to accept that your man sleeps with different women each night.
So now, at ep. 71, the more I am hating the ML. He's a total womanizer. He can't resist a woman even if she had killed his own sons and daughters. What a waste of a handsome face. I feel so sad for the FL. I was able to hold on, so am looking forward towards the end. Given a choice, I prefer the FL to end up with Ling Yun Che. ML is just using her as his shock absorber. Didn't really felt the love, loyalty and trust of ML towards FL.

At this point, I was able to complete the drama. Had to do lots of forwarding as it becomes draggy already towards the end. Ok, so Ling Yun Che had a sad fate with his unrequitted love. I did hold on towards the end hoping for some character development by the ML. Sadly, that never came. Until the end, he was a self-centered person, too much pride for himself and yes, he truly deserves all the loneliness in this world. FL's character of patience and understanding is truly admirable till the end. But, sadly, she didn't get the love she deserved to have from the ML. Like, it was all too late. Honestly, this is a not feel good drama. I wouldn't recommend it for re watch value. Too long for a non-ending scheming drama. It just basically evolved about the story within the harem.
Obviously, this is a highly budgeted drama. Good acting by the villain concubines. But, definitely, this is not my cup of tea. I really can't stand a no kiss, no skinship drama. Gave this a 7.0

Happy and good ending. of course, they ended up as a couple. Ceremony was not showned but i believe they're officially married in the end. 😍 Yi Xiang became an IT Professor in the end. 🤓

It really took me awhile to watch this drama. I'm a fan of Yang Yang since Love 020. I admit, I'm not a fan of Dilraba, which is one of the reasons why am I hesitant to watch this. But, I must say, this is so far the best role that suited her well.
So, for the PROs, as I said. I liked the FL's character here. No acting cute stuff. I like that she's straight forward in a subtle way. And what's best on her character, I really liked her sense of pride when Yu Tu turned down her confession. Like, Girl, you've been hurt, let him suffer a bit. And yeah, her very down to earth personality, despite of being a high profile celebrity. Another thing likeable in this drama was the cosmic setup of the wedding. Though it's a group wedding among colleagues, still, it felt intimate and yeah, the decor was just superb. I enjoyed the part of meeting the parents during the New year's Eve celebration and the abrupt introduction of themselves to their future parent in laws.
For the CONs, this is just too slow burn for me. Like being together at ep21 where there's only 32 eps. And yeah, I think 32eps was a bit long for a romance drama which half of it basically ate up scenes on aerospace, flashbacks and esports games. Like the romance only took around 5-8eps so to speak. Not to mention the time skips too. The kisses and skinships felt a bit lacking for me. Like, if I'm gonna compare this to Love 020, Falling into your Smile and Go Go Squid, this is quite way behind for me. I like Yang Yang's role better in Love 020 than here. I guess I liked his agressiveness there that i didn't quite see much here. The ending was just a meh for me. Like I was hoping they would maximize the time skips and would show that they have a kid despite of their busy schedules,. Anyways, I just find this a bit overrated, it's a 7.5 for me.

Is that so? Because of this, I checked the FL's profile. hehehe She's 23. I don't know how conservative China can be, but that age is mature enough to do mature roles. Like, I've been watching Jdrama as well and their actors can do mature scenes as young as 18. That's quite sad to know.

Just saw a few clips of this drama in fb and decided to check this out. Honestly, 42 eps is really long for this type of drama which doesn't have much good story plot to offer. In addition, no good looking men either to get you hooked on the drama the least. Kinda, appreciated the character development of the FL midway in terms on how she battled her struggles from being rich to an ordinary citizen who needs to earn a living . but, her immaturity in handling relationships is really irritating. she acts like a 12yr old kid who needs to look like a barbie doll and treats her bf just a HS kid next door and not a CEO. Currently on ep. 30. Super struggling to finish this drama. I guess, will have to forward more to make it till the end. The only likeable character here is Wang Xiao Zai. ML is not ideal either. Given a choice, the SML acts more of the ML than the ML himself.

At this point I was able to finish the drama by forwarding most scenes. The breakup was really unnecessary for me. And it ate around 10 eps. Got back together at the finale which was so unsatisfying. I feel sad for the SML's character. He never gave up on her up to the last point of this drama and he ended up with no one. He truly deserves to be the ML to be honest. FL's character is quite disappointing towards the end. Like she had no sense of pride of not letting the ML at least win her back. ML's character felt lack of sincerity. Definitely, not the type of CEO you would want to be with.

I was happy for the secondary couple Wang Xiao and Mingle . They truly deserve each other. Glad justice was given as Mie Jie Jie was punished for her wrong doings as well as the Aunt.
Overall, it's a 6.5 for me. Everything is lacking in this drama including the skinships and kisses. The only thing that is not are the number of episodes. 😁

Definitely watched this because of Yang Ze. Liked him in The Killer is so Romantic and Destined to Meet You. This, in particular didn't have the same vibe. The kisses and skinships are very much lacking. Too draggy for a short mini series. With that it's only a 7 for me. Not sure if I'm gonna look forward to season 2. chemistry is just meh.

This is such a tease drama. Not a fan of the story plot. Not a fan of the FL either. I do prefer a badass FL I liked the ML's character. He's such a tease. I like that he's such a loyal romantic guy. Sakurada Dori, evertime I look at him he reminds me of Suga of BTS. They kinda resemble alot. This is my second time to watch him in drama as ML. I prefer his role here compared to the other drama that I've seen him. Overall, gave this drama a 7.0. Generous enough for the ML's character. But, of course, a CEO like him would only fall for a campus beauty. That's one downside of this story. Still, the skinships won me over.

I'm really not fond of short mini series, but I can consider this an exception. Good story plot. Good acting by the cast. First time to watch the entire cast in a drama. Great chemistry by the leads. Another proof that I really prefer Generals than Prince's or Kings. right pacing of romance. Kisses were very well executed. Love some intimacy in this drama. Overall, it's an 8.5 for me. Just made me a bit confused with the ending. Like, the face swaps really got me. Would be nice if this was made into a full length drama. Definitely recommendable.

I believe this was the hottest Kdrama I have watched so far, next to I Need Romance trilogy series and Nevertheless. It feels like am watching sex education 101. hehehe This was quite entertaining. Definitely the intimacy and passion were there as expected, based on the title of the drama per se. I had a few laughs because of Mr. Shim. I should say the cast were a pool of gorgeous ladies and gents. Bae Woo Hae kinda reminds me of Park Min young. She resembles her a bit. Choi Kwang Rok is absolutely hot and someone to look forward to in another drama as ML. Gave this drama an 8. The only downside for me is Son Hee Jae's dilemma on finding herself first before being able to enter again in a relationship. Partly, yes. it is understandable, but dude, you made love with the guy a couple of times and the hot guy In Chan has poured all his feelings for her. I just can't stand that a pure hearted guy would just be used as sex partner. Though, she gave in at the end, but it took a month for her to do that. I just felt sad for In Chan. Well, it's a rare gem to find a guy like him these days. Overall, this drama is recommenmdable. It gives a different point of view on how we understand simply making out or making love with the person you have feelings with.

I think this was the most wholesome drama I've ever watched of Wallace. I've seen other dramas of Wallace Chung and most of them have steamy kisses and intimate scenes. I just find it too lacking in this drama knowing Wallace is the ML. too many flashbacks for me that deemed not necessary. this could have been squeezed in to 24eps. only. first time to watch Tiffany Tang in a drama. She's just an okay FL, but I find the chemistry a bit lacking between these two. Overall, gave this a drama a 7.5 for at least a good ending. Happy ending for all the supporting couple as well. Story plot isn't much interesting for me. It would have been better if the love triangle by the leads was much longer than the flashbacks. And yeah, Leo Yunxi is literally a boy in this drama. lols.

So the story basically evolved on the title itself. It started good. It was fast paced. I just didn't felt much the chemistry of the leads. It's more of just like a strong bond of friendship and not merely a romantic relationship. the only thing that i liked in this drama is the ML's strong motivation of marrying FL and sticking with her through thick and thin no matter what issues they face. It's very rare for a man's character to marry someone out of pure love even without sex. Though yeah, they had to face the consequences of that kind of marriage.
The problem with this drama, it didn't resolve anything up to the end. The lack of communication between the leads was the main problem too. They keep on denying themselves that they don't need sex for a healthy marriage. At the end of the day, wouldn't it be great to have a normal family having kids around?!!! Specially, their profession are both teachers.
I also didn't like the part that the urge to do sex need to happen to do it with other partners rather than trying to seek medical help to resolve their dilemma of being able to do it within themselves. It's technically infidelity and they should have just divorced when things have been going on cycles already.
Everything was just so wrong with this drama. Genereously, gave this drama a 5 for ML's loyalty and consistency to FL though he still made a mistake in the mid part on going to sex hotels.

My thoughts on this drama. First, I am so not a fan of Teacher-student love relationships. I am not against them, everyone has the right to fall in love and it is not forbidden so to fall in love with a teacher nor a student vice versa. It just feels awkward for me to develop such feelings but if it works for some, so be it.
So, I thought this will just be a typical teacher-student drama romance concept that we usually see. I was absolutely surprised how good the story plot this drama could offer. It wasn't tagged, but this drama should have been tagged also as Psycho-thriller mystery genre. The romance was definitely there. Good portrayal by the entire cast I should say. Chemistry of the leads was definitely there. Fire, steamy romance I should say which i also liked in this drama. Realities of school issues such as bribery, bullying, cheating, hacking was well presented. Family issues of social status, prestige, lack of communication, forgiveness was very well tackled. Friendship is also greatly presented here. This drama catered it all.
Of all the teacher-student romance drama that I've seen, this has the best story so far. Great ending too. For that, I gave this drama a 9.0 Definitely deserve a higher rating. And yes, this is highly recommendable.

Second best drama this year along with My Uncanny Destiny. Good story plot. A pool of good looking men including the ML, of course. Lots of skinships and steamy kisses. Right pace of romance. Good ending. The only downside for me is the question of doppleganger. I just don't buy that Manning and Zhuang Xin Yan simply looked alike.
Overall, it's an 8.5 for me. And yes, Fan Zhi Xin is way too hot not to look forward to in another drama as ML. 😍

I've always loved dramas with intimacy and passion. But, i think this would be one of the not so good to watch drama. First, It just feel so awkward to watch a bunch of highschool students who have these insane sex drive. Girl love is also not quite appropriate to see yet as early as highschool. And yeah, the music teacher is literally a slut. Like, I should say a nympho. I just didn't get connected to the story plot to be honest. I think it's more of obsession rather than these kids being in love with their teachers. It's a 5.0 for me. There's no particular character that is likeable in this drama. Plus the ending sucks, like this would have been better if the 2 main leads just fell in love with each other and ended up together.
