Based on ep.20, this could have already ended, but, of course, everyone's looking forward to the wedding including myself. I just have some confused thoughts on the romance aspect of this drama. Like, it was very clear from ep.1 that ML has feelings for his sister and vice versa. Though, the FL is in the character of Lu Zhao, but it was XJY, he is in love with not LZ. It was given justice, yet, I still feel sad for LZ's character. She deserved to be loved genuinely after the reincarnation. I was hoping ML would discard his true feelings for his sis and fall in love with the new LZ and recognize how pure and kind hearted she was. And yes, I hope her soul didn't have to leave and it should be XJY instead.
As for the antagonist Situ Xian, he really fell in love with the cousin LYX. I was still hoping that he would realize how he lost a valuable wife to cherish and would try to win her back, just for Karma sake for not cherishing her back then. hehehe
Will still stick to this till the finale, though it still doesn't feel right for me to use LZ's body as a vessel just to continue their interrupted romance.

This is a short but sweet drama. I liked that it was fast paced. Am glad the part with FL's ex wasn't stretched too long. What's so good about this...there's no unnecessary break up. MC fought for their relationship. Am glad ML's father intervened and saved the day. Though, I wish the dad coould've done it earlier. Kisses were short and sweet. There's a bit of intimacy but not well delivered. Overall, this still deserves a bit of a higher rating. It's a 7.5 for me.

I thought so too. I'm thinking this will be another white haired ML towards the finale.

Romance is there but not much physical intimacy. And yes, the focus is still on the cooking.

I'm still halfway thru this drama. It started kinda dark for me. Definitely, it gets better. I must say the MC nailed their roles. The acting were topnotch specially on ep.5. I'm usually not into this kind of genre, but this drama hits differently. The story has depth and not just some melodrama. Can't wait to finish the remaining half and how the story of each character ends.

So true. I guess the director for this drama is not a romantic type but all for the love of food. 😅

I know it was a cooking show, but the director could've opted just to let FL cook for his majesty perhaps for every date they may have. That would be more romantic I guess. FL have already competed in her modern era in the begining, yet, more competition during the Joseon era. I guess, one round of the competition is enough but making it 3 rounds.🙄

I agree on that partly. But, like I said, only 2 eps left and I'm not sure if there will be still a moment for a real deal kiss with the MC. Like, even if FL meets ML in the future am sure, it's a fresh start for them, so no real deal kiss to expect I guess.

Oh ok. 😁 Well, Netflix is known for having no restrictions on steamy scenes. I guess, the romance part kinda disappoints for me. Given that there are only 2 eps left yet, there's no real progress skinship wise.

But content rating says 15+ teens older, so steamy kisses can pass thru this rating. Besides, Emperors during the Joseon era are much well known for steamy kisses, reality wise, so why not at least make the depiction realistic.

Well, for romance enthusiasts like me, this is just like a teenage kiss. Even college students would kiss steamier than this. Just saying, for an adult portraying a romantic scene.

Yes, I've seen King The Land, I don't remember the kissing scene in that drama since I've watched that 2 years ago. And yes, I am aware too that Chae min is currently in a relationship. But, I don't think that's the reason for this very bland kissing scene. I can see Chae Min's efforts to make it look steamy. I just can feel that Yoona is being awkward with their age gap in which she shouldn't. As an actor, she could've expressed herself very well with that kiss, like you said if she could've done it in King The Land.

After the long wait for that kiss....it's just badly executed. They could've done it better. I mean, Lee Chae Min does his thing. If only Yoona cooperates...I mean, it's just a kiss...at least make it a bit steamier for the audience. 😌

Yes, the intensity is visible in that gaze, but, I just can't define it, as I know, ML thinks she's a man. So, he tends to shrug off all those thoughts in his mind. Slowburns ain't really for me. The chemistry was there, specially when they became an official couple. But, I think I liked the part better when they pretended to be husband and wife . I liked how a spoiled wife she was.
I get what you mean on Bai Shu's face 😁 His acting was great here though. I'm not a fan of the ML..
The skinships are just too bland. I remember the drama Oh My General. I like how the lady general was romantically active there.

Oh well, I'm not into animation. Not all people are interested into such. It will only be a loss if it's a romance drama and I missed it.
