Ah! They removed Hao Tian Sect from the story. I thought before I will be able to see those powerful people, like Tang Xiao and others, pity!! I was literally creeped out when I heard in drama that Tang Hao once worked for Soul Hall. What the hell!!

Actually Shrek Academy is not worst. But the fault is in CGI, and weak and inadequate portrayal of fight on screen which makes you think so. If you see the donghua, you will see the difference. Also, using tricks or more appropriately "tactics" plays an important role in battles. With careful tactics, you can win even a more powerful person than you than directly fighting them like a beast. If you have played an strategy game such as Go or Chess, you may understand it. In freedom to move and kill in chess, Queen can be called the most powerful, but a tactical and skilled person, can take out the opponent's Queen by a very weak pawn.
In the drama, although I didn't like it,, they showed a really good thing, of how Dai Mubai who saw Tang San's ways as wicked recognised their importance in a fight gradually. Plus, in the novel/anime Tang San used Tang Sect's techniques which are almost absent here.
Seeing it from the perspective of a spectator, since the fighters of Elephant Armoured Clan were not more than Soul Ancestors, so their spiritual power is highly likely to be below Tang San and he had no danger of facing a backlash due to cultivation gap. Tang San could have used Purple Demon Eye at some points well, to weaken the defense at some places for some seconds, and then Zhu Zhuqing could take the targeted opponent. But such strategical moves that can win a battle quickly are not shown in drama at all. Pity!!!
If you are saying Oscar(or Ou Si Ke) and Ning Rong Rong are weak, yes they are still weak in battle sense. But in drama, they play a bigger role in fights. And I like their portrayal.
Know that, as much both of them are fighting, support soul masters don't fight , that they are fighting so much and well too is already worth admiring at their level now in drama. Oscar will have some powerful clone skill in the future then he can fight really well too.
Support soul master don't indulge in combat usually at least not for 10,000 yrs. When Soul Tools come , then can even support soul masters can stand their ground quite well, with good soul cannons and other soul tools like famous He Caitou ( Source of Destruction)

This flower cannot be actually gifted in the novel as Tang San's mother gifted it to her son. In the novel, only a true lover could really pluck this flower by spitting blood on its petals. And by lover you must understand, not the parental love, this is the novel view, not the drama view,

As for the pool, it can be used many times in the novel/anime , but I don't think it is so in the drama, also you only need to use it one-time, one time is sufficient !!.

I don't understand what is the purpose <\b>of making such comparisons and how do you really do so, based on what data. Based on what I know, he is quite popular. BTW, in many aspects, this drama is more well done(from a fresh perspective, ignoring novel/donghua) than Legend of Fei, even though they had a poor budget compared to LOF and not such a high profile cast excluding Xiao Zhan and actor acting as Tang Hao.

If you watch it openly and drop all the expectations, be just as if you are seeing a new thing, it is watchable . It has a lot of problems but it is not that bad too, the only thing to keep in mind is that compared to the anime and book it is nothing .

I understand, I also felt the same as I have already read novel and am watching anime, the characters and story and fighting are not all like in the book/anime. Tang sect techniques like Mysterious Jade Hands, Controlling Crane Capturing Dragon and Ghost Shadow Perplexing Steps which Tang San used the most in fights are not even shown, I really want to see the display of those techniques in live action, but pity. Thatswhy, I dropped all my expectations. Xiao Ao /Oscar and Flander are quite good though. Rest none of the characters as they appeared in "drama" really appealed to me at first. I was so cringeful watching in drama Chen Xin, Sword Douluo throwing "stone" swords , the powerful character which I liked in novel and anime apart from main characters and Tang Hao, he is portrayed so ......

In the drama she isn't useless, she has saved Tang San so many times here. As for the team, it is still integrating. The development will hopefully increase by bounds as competition becomes tougher after the starting fights. She has strong fighting strength to tell you, just that it has not been revealed to its fullest, just wait!

Know that this was shot two years ago. And is one of the first dramas of Xiao Zhan in which he is playing leading role apart from Untamed. But I think, still he has done quite a good job. Yeah, but a fight scenes are pitiful yet. Cast is not that bad too as you are saying but was surely quite unexpected for me except Tang San.

Both of them became really good friends and Dugu Bo, a guest elder of Shrek academy and leaving drama, Xiao San used to address him as Old Monster/ freak (Lao Guaiwu) and Dugu Bo called him Little Monster/freak( Xiao Guaiwu). I don't think Tang Hao was cranky. He was younger compared to Dugu Bo, I think he was around 40 years old at this time, and very rational and composed.

What if the second season is better? Hope so! If it is of Tang Wulin, then it would be really great which most likely isn't as the first novel probably won't be finished in Season 1. Wulin's era is quite similar to our current era, I really want some one really good takes up the project of Legend of Dragon King. But yeah, the CGI and most importantly the "script" needs to be good, still. It is really high hopes that they will be able to make very good season 2.

Xiao Zhan was the one who was keeping me from dropping this drama. But the drama is still watchable and not that bad, very funny at some points too. Compared to the novel, and anime, it is really not that good. A better scripwriter/scriptwriters could have really made a huge difference. But as a DD fan, I will still finish it.
