Soul Land anime is really good, it does justice to the novel But just upon seeing the Ep 1 of this live action, although Xiao Zhan's acting and other things are good. The story has been twisted so much, I sort of am not liking the script/plot. Maybe it is because I am avid DD series reader, having read all the DD novels and watching anime too, has made me have a lot of expectations. Grandmaster looks like a teenager hahah!!
But anyway it is satisfactory, I will stay on not because of DD( the adaption of the novel really dissatisfies me) but due to Xiao Zhan, his acting is great. I am just being grumpy, I think. hahah!

Finally, they did it after a long wait but in a surprise.

I may have made a mistake there, I forgot. Actually, wuxia "does have" fantasy element just that it is low key( consisting of only supernatural fighting ability) and it has Daoism in it. So, for Douluo Dalu, Xuanhuan may be an appropriate term to categorise it in. Thanks for pointing that out.

The main thing is "wuxia". Both have the primary element as wuxia. Also both are based on novels. These two criterias are enough for them to be recommendations to each other. Plus there is Xiao Zhan and Yibo craze too. But I have high hopes from Douluo Dalu, really looking forward, it will surely be better than Legend of Fei.

Yep, the character of Xie Yun is kinda really the best emperor traits you can ever have. His power tactical wisdom , smartness and humility and kindness is high quality. I would have really liked to see masters of Xie Yun fight. They looked to be really powerful. His uncle master was after all a great master.

By actual I think you mean, endorsed by author? No, that was not the case with any of San Shao's novels. But he didn't even objected translation of his works by other sites/ places as far as I know. Because there is no officially translated book of his ever till now.

Soul Land 3 and 4 is trash? I think the best after DD1 is DD3 . Tang Wulin character and story development is the best, even better than Tang San. I like Tang Wulin a lot.

Unfortunately, even DD 1 donghua is still not complete. DD3 is the best for donghua according to me, it has amazing fight and scenes in the novel with Tang Wulin as the Golden Dragon King, it is also in an era most similar to what we live in. But the true joy is not in manhua or donghua but in novels itself which are amazing.
