Personally I loved the show enough to overlook most of the things that didn't make sense even though people were complaining about them... It's more that the last 2 episodes have been a bit more frustrating to me and hence this type of things just add up.
I'm still mostly enjoying the show so I'm crossing my fingers I'll be less frustrated by the last 2 episodes.
It's still to me the best K rom com I've watched this year... But apart from Study Group, I've been literally disappointed by everything served by K dramaland this year... In one of the first episode, Da Rim was still calling her sister and leaving messages through her answering machine AND texts. Messages that the sister clearly listened to. I clearly remember a scene when she got all emotional about it and her husband complained about how many times she had listened to it already.
Yes, they didn't show Da Rim sending a message to her sister about it... which is to me another oversight, but clearly if the scriptwriters were logical they would at least show a scene explaining WHY the sister doesn't come back ( which is very easy, shame is enough explanation but you still need to show it).
Even if Da Rim didn't send a message, if you have loan sharks trying to find you, they'd have noticed their phone is no longer being bombarded by hundreds of threatening messages.
That's just taking viewers for idiots. It doesn't ruin the show but this is one of these inconsistencies that pile up on top of others and ends up irritating the life out of me.
Same as "The Heirs", in that drama too, the leads came together because of FL's sister, but she disappeared…
Lol Never watched that one. There's only one single Lee Min Ho drama that I ever liked ( City Hunter) and Park Shin Hye back then... though really popular was not that good acting-wise imho so I didn't bother when it came out. I waited for opinions.

BUT it doesn't change the fact that it's yet ANOTHER breakup close to the finale. I'm personally so fed up with those. I can understand the logic behind, but it's still doesn't rid me of my frustration.
These past 3 weeks, I've been mostly watching previews ahead of watching the episodes later in the week... Currently in the middle of watching ep 12... and I'm getting business talk fatigue.
This is why I no longer watch workplace romances that much, there's ALWAYS too much business talk when we're closing to the end with evil characters taking too much screen time... regardless of where the drama is coming from.
I understand they don't have as much screen time as I perceive they have in this one... It's more a me-problem than a drama-problem...
But I guess I'm getting increasingly frustrated with lots of things that have been piling up for weeks (which people have already talked about in this comment section)... and the last-ditch breakup is just the last straw.
My only hope is that the preview is misleading and Ji Hyeok doesn't allow her to get away with the noble idiocy BS. Fortunately I'll be on holidays by the time the two last episodes drop, hence I won't be tempted to break my screen. ... Only my parents'. They've got more money than I do 🤣🤣🤣

He was really good looking though, so he got away with it given how young I was... Wouldn't have been that smooth if he wasn't that good-looking.
Also, he knew exactly how to make me kiss him back willingly or not. I had lots of other partners after that one... And from experience, he was definitely professional level. I just didn't know it at the time since I didn't have any experience.
Ultimately, this is a drama that caters to a Japanese audience. If you think the kissing scene looked natural, that's fine. I sure do not but to each one their own. This has nothing to do with disrespecting other people's cultures. If you're expressing intimacy, make sure it doesn't look cringe. No one is expecting a whole make-out session from Japanese people anyway. I think most MDL viewers are well aware of these cultural differences.

It's just really funny to me because the first time I got kissed, I was so surprised that I didn't have time to close my mouth and my partner literally threw his tongue in it without leaving me with any chance of escaping no matter how much I tried. Once the tongue was in, he was basically in control of when the whole thing ended so to speak.
Yet in all these "surprised kisses" especially the Japanese ones, they always have they mouth tightly closed and that to me is SO unrealistic. When you're surprised, your mouth naturally opens even if it's just slightly, it's not closed like that.
The little peck they had just after was actually much more natural, because Hioki was literally really taken by surprise hence the kissing noise.
BUT OK. I'll give them a pass this time and will see if the specials make up for it.

Yeah but it still doesn't make sense. When you speak with someone you're familiar with, you might occasionally use words in another dialect or language - I should know I'm the child of 1st generation immigrants- but you don't entirely switch language.
If you use one particular language with someone, you stick to that language all the time, yet these characters, sometimes they speak in cantonese with each other, at other times in Mandarin. That's just plain stupid. They should have stuck with one language especially since there's no logical reason as to why they switch.
Ep 8 ==> Poor Li Wu... You're supposed to train your English listening skill, listening to some mp3 files pronounced by somebody who clearly hasn't mastered English pronunciation properly. But I'm going to pretend that this is not engrish pronunciation but english. Hopefully these scenes don't last too long, it makes my ears bleed.

That was also my first time watching this actress and sadly it didn't made me want to see her more in anything else, but I watch shows mostly for their stories so you never know, I might come across her again if I'm interested in the story she acts in.
