Personally I don't dislike her mostly because I think she's completely oblivious of the consequences of her actions... which doesn't excuse them, let's be clear about it.

For Seon U though... I have no empathy because he's using her situation to her advantage. Case in point, he asked SFL not to tell Da Rim that she's in on the secret. Why? He says he doesn't want her to blow their cover since she's not good with acting but the truth is, he wants Da Rim and not her and he doesn't want Da Rim to make any opening for SFL.
Given her personality, she would make sure to push these two together if she thought SFL knew, since she only sees him as a friend and as a friend, want him to find somebody else especially since she probably think it would be better for him and his son.

If he truly had a crush, he would have refused her point blanck. They have a 20 year-old friendship between them, they literally know everything about each other so there's absolutely nothing to hide... which was also Seon U's problem. How to shake that comfortable relation they've established between them without making Da Rim on the defensive and this situation provided the perfect excuse.

You can be sure that that punch in the preview is gonna lead to Seon U telling Ji Hyeok, that he doesn't care that they're not married because HE is gonna be Da Rim's man anyway and tell Ji Hyeok to go get married with his chaebol fiancée. Let He and Da Rim get back to their normal lives instead of bringing them into their Chaebol mess.

Ji Hyeok: 1 000 000%

SFL (can't remember her name for the life of me): 70%. After all she wanted the marriage first. She didn't care that Ji Hyeok didn't want it when she initially agreed so basically, she doesn't give a sh*** as long as she gets what she wants... which is a personally trait that I utterly dislike so here goes.

Da Rim: 50% (There's still mama's hospital bill + not wanting to go back to cumulating jobs... and I can relate VERY hard to that having gone through the same thing)

Seon U: He gets 10%... because his love is doomed anyway and I understand he understands the boat is sailing and he is trying desperatly to hold on to it... so... yeah... I feel a bit for him.

Personally I'm voting for 2 episodes of pure angst. I mean she literally played with his trauma, it honestly can't get any worse. Also, seeing the end of episode 7, all that mess could have been avoided if Da Rim had been honest from the start and hadn't bail out of him... He wouldn't have agreed with the marriage in the first place.

Now because of one lie, they'reall in a huge mess.
Honestly, I feel mostly sorry for Ji Hyeok and the annoying SFL at this point. If it wasn't for Da Rim's lie, the situation would be far less messy.
The moment he brandished his black card to get rid of her debt, she should have been honest with him. Now he's gonna feel not only betrayed since everybody knew except him but also the weeks of mental torture?

I understand why Da Rim did it... But as usual, she waited too long to admit her lie and now everything is blowing up. She honestly has a lot to make up to the ML.

Of course, because he's a lost cause, he'll forgive her eventually ( hence my 2 episodes angst prediction - ep 9 and 10) BUT since there's the whole marriage thing to save his mum... Who knows how much angst we're gonna get until the final ep...😭😭😭

Well... I knew it. They're going to wait for episode 8 for the grand reveal... And they're probably gonna do it at the very end of the episode because after ALL the fluff and sexual tension of the first episodes OF COURSE they needed to make it EVEN MORE DRAMATIC before giving us some relief.

I wish I could just wait and binge episode 7 to 10... But I know I won't be able to resist 😫😫😫 So here it is. Come to me my week of torture 😭😭😭

As usual, I skipped the whole episode and went straight to the preview...

Oh My... Just started this one... I'm reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy curious about how they're gonna make me ship these two after the torture Yi Xiao went through.

I mean... She basically had no memory yet she was tortured anyway... NO WAY IN HELL am I EVER going to forget this if I was in her place.
That would have been a different story if she remembered but she was injured, at her weakest and memory-less and they didn't give a sh***

Really, they couldn't be more at odd from the start.

People have been typing cheating here and there but frankly, what was there to salvage in any of these relationships?
Can we call these relationships in the first place?

Both Kaori and Fujisawa should be happy both MLs did it, at least it put them all out of their pretend relationships and misery.

I'm always amazed at how much people can put up with, just because of their fear of loneliness, in spite of feeling even more lonely in their relationships than if they were single.

Also Fujisawa... just no comment. I mean I do have LOTS of comments regarding how they glossed over... you-know-what but whatev'.
As for Hagiwara's girlfriend... Girl, if you have a recurring problem with EVERY SINGLE MAN you go out with, MAYBE, just MAYBE, you should take a break from having any relationship and seek therapy instead of leaving a trail of miserable men behind you.

Anyway, interesting drama. But lack of communications almost drove me bonkers. I blame mostly the partners. At least the MLs were trying to talk about their issues with their partners but they both encountered a wall.

I don't see why any of them should feel sorry for what they did, though it would have been better if they broke up before but as this drama showed... people and relationships are messy.

Ending rushed. As usual with these J BLs. They have the most interesting stories and yet they're always overly short.

In spite of its short length, the story is enjoyable... My only regret is that they do kiss quite a lot for such a short drama...

And that wouldn't be a problem if not ALL of these kisses weren't these typical Japanese dead fish kisses that you see everywhere.

They're terrible. Take me out of the moment. If the kisses are so shitty just change the camera angle. I mean I can tell it's fake even with the angle change... but it is still WAY LESS irritating than seeing these soulless pecks on screen.

Furuya Robin is trying a little but Hasegawa Makoto takes the cake in the "no effort" department.

EDIT: Well that's a 7 from me. Watchable but not memorable. The biggest issue is that they tried to pack too much in 6 episodes of 23 minutes and so everything feels rushed. I think if they wanted to stick to that length, a less complex story would have worked better.

Here we get former lovers meeting again, going out together again after some reluctance from one party who breaks up with his 3 year old long girlfriend, a separation, some family drama, a reunion AND flashbacks to the past + 2 love rivals...

Because of that, I couldn't care about both MLs because I was never given enough time to get attached to them.

But it's a short watch and I needed a break from longer shows so this one fit the bill.

Dropped it after 3 episodes. Couldn't get into the acting of the actor interpreting Chiaki.... Didn't help that I just didn't like his character.

I was hoping to like it as much as School Trip, since I've seen this one mentioned several times on School Trip's thread...

Sadly while the latter is cringe but cute, this one was only cringe to me.

The story seemed to be very cute though so I'll probably check the manga at some point which I think will probably suits me better than the live-action.

The difference is she dated the coder dude, she's not dating the ML (yet).
Maybe he learned from his mistake and doesn't want to miss his chance again?

For the rest though, honestly I can't tell you the number of people I've met who end up with people they don't necessarily love because they're so afraid of losing the relationship with this special person that it's easier to confess and have a relationship with somebody you don't care as much.

Is it right? No, Of course not, but lots of people do it anyway.

The whole marriage and divorcing thing is a bit weird but I wouldn't be surprised if it's a story of "heartbroken after he learned Da Rim decided to date Coder dude, SML went to a bar spent one night with a random girl, she got pregnant, per Korean Society standards they got married, didn't work out, she left".

The whole "Da Rim's mother saved me" when he was a mess after his wife left him, might have been just him having to cope with raising a child neither of them wanted in the first place.

The show's been pretty vague on purpose so far, so maybe we'll learn more about that later.

Lol I personally never really care about second couples and this one is no exception... Especially since the SFL is literally being pushy which is something I personally hate. She's not a bad person, but pushy people rubs me the wrong way.

Haven't watch Spirit Fingers yet, and not planning to watch Dear X at all. Somebody made a post about the webtoon and after reading it, this drama is definitely not for me, so that's a pass.

I mean I think it's pretty clear SML cares for her regardless of his romantic feelings. These are two different things.

Lol it could be what you wrote but it could also be genuine fear of losing her.
I'm more curious about the story behind the birth of his child.

Maybe he took his ex as a "consolation price" when Da Rim was with her former boyfriend. They said they were together for 3 years so it's very likely, seeing how Da Rim was happy in the relation, he gave up and got with his ex wife... who realized she'd never be number 1 but number 2 in his life and left.

Sorry can't hate the SML.

He's been friendzoned to the moon. Honestly when Da Rim suggested they slept in the same bed, I truly felt for the guy. The guy wasn't stabbed, he was speared.

He probably thought she wouldn't find the time to go out with anybody given how much she struggled to find a proper job and hence thought he had all the time in the world to make her see him a different way.

Sadly for him she went to Jejudo, and now the poor dude is struggling to find a way to make her feel something other than friendship because time is running out.

A classic case of "You had all the time in the world and you blew it."

Actually heard a similar story from a friend of mine years ago. One of his closest friend was in love with this girl since high school... Literally. Afraid of losing their friendship, he didn't say anything.

Time passes, they turn 35. Clock is ticking for the girl. She gets pregnant with a random dude. She doesn't particularly like him and was planning to break up, but once she knew she was pregnant, they decided to make it work out.

Dude wasted 20 years by fear of losing her which led to... losing her. At least he could have had a chance if he gave it a shot... and moved on if she rejected him...
Now he's only going to live with the "What if".

Have no news of the friend who told me his story though so I don't know how things have turned out 7 years later. Her couple could have worked or not. She might still be with the father or her child or separated and with the 20 years pinning dude who knows... But there's a kid in the middle who didn't ask for the rushed wedding so as sad as it is for pining dude, I hope they managed to build a solid family in spite of their shaky beginnings.

So if you have feelings for someone, do like the SFL and go for it. She irritates the hell out of me since she's already been rejected BUT since the SML hasn't said anything to the FL, I totally get where she's coming from.

Though personally I have too much self-esteem to pursue a guy that has feelings for somebody else but to each one their own.

True but I don't think it's gonna go that way.

Personally I think once the truth is out, the ML is gonna get (rightfully) extremely angry about the whole thing especially since he's literally the only one who got mentally tortured by the whole situation when everybody knew and while he gives the cold shoulder to the FL, as she rightfully deserves, the fact that he's supposed to get married to the SFL is gonna come out.

Because it's messier that way.

The drama is 14 episodes.

Per K drama rules, the truth can't be revealed before the middle mark. Wait until at least end of episode 7, but my guess is, it's probably gonna be at the end of episode 8 in order to torture viewers with one week of waiting agony.

A lot, if not most actors have false eyebrows that they put to make their eyebrows appear thicker and darker than their natural eyebrows since this is considered more "manly".

People are so used to all the make-up and tricks that you are put off by literally an actor whose eyebrows were left as they are naturally。🙄

Oh Well... Wasn't expecting that love triangle... But I guess they've decided to make the whole situation as messy as possible...

So even if in the next episode the secret is out, the ML is still going to be forced to keep the FL's secret for her to keep her job and since SML is still her official husband, ML is condemned to suffer...

And let's not forget the arranged marriage looming in the background. Hence even if FL clearly rejects SML and go for Mister Black Card, he's agreed to get married to SFL who's pinning after SML... and SHE agreed as well (that was before she met M. Six packs though)... So err... This is not gonna be pretty.

I hope they keep the light tone and don't go too overly dramatic because it would be such a waste. I'm loving this so far but with all the looming mess I'm starting to get worried.

(...) SFL kissing SML and ML seeing the whole thing and hiding the kissing couple from the view of FL.

Also SML told SFL that he's lying because he's helping FL because of her mom not specifically because of FL and that there's absolutely NOTHING going on between him and FL...

But of course, the whole episode seems specifically manufactured to torture both ML and SFL because obviously SML and FL are VERY close ^^
