Jun Hwa... Jun Hwa... Jun Hwa... That was brutal. That was... my God. If I was Go Su Ra and Hong Deok Su I would want nothing to do with him. Are we supposed to root for their friendship now?
I don't want to be friends with such a brute. Can he look at himself in the mirror? Lord Cheon has really made a mess of his perfect son but at the end of the day, Eun Ho chose to search for the truth and oppose his father when Jun Hwa deliberately chose to blindly believe his.
Mae Hwa has told him she knew he wasn't like his father, Su Ra has told him he was like his father and Deok Su's reaction when she learned who he was should have told him that his father might hide something. But instead of searching for the truth, he chose to believe that Deok Su, the Inn and anything else was his from the beginning as if it gave him the right to behave the way he did.
You certainly got power now, but you've become a disgusting piece of filth that looks down on others who are less powerful than you which includes your own former friends you don't even treat as equals anymore. Myeong Ho is a scumbag who deserved what he got... but vengeance could have been delivered another way... You really stooped down very low on that one.
And that my friend, is why you're not gonna get the girl. Eun Ho who is way less gorgeous than you, is the bigger man... I should be sad for you but given your character's trajectory I have no ounce of sympathy left.
Hmm... Maybe I'm overestimating this drama but I don't believe for one second that the ledger Eun Ho has given the Prime Minister is the real one. I think it's a copy especially since there were some flying pages in the middle of the ledger and these are absent from the one Eun Ho gave. They'd be stupid to give away the original. Let them all fight for the fake and bring down the last one standing with the original.
BUT at the same time... I don't think they had the time to make a copy... It hasn't been shown that neither Eun Ho nor Deok Su has some specific talent for imitating handwritings... Maybe they contacted somebody to make a copy during the night... But honestly how could they do so when everybody's spying on everybody... Doesn't make sense.
Still. I can't believe it's the original. I still cling to the idea of them making a copy even if I can't see how they'd pull it off BUT I also thought that dumbass Eun Ho knew from episode 4 that Deok Su was a girl so... I'm not gonna bet my life on it.
I KNEW IT! I knew the nephew wasn't as oblivious as he appeared。 Dude lost his father, of course he was also preparing his revenge just like Deok Su. Romance sucks and I HATE the serious tone, but I'm so fed up with the vilains, I want to see their downfall.
Got to admit the villains are good. It's FRUSTRATING AS F*** but they're good. But my IRRITATION LEVEL is through the roof. LET THEM ALL DIE A PAINFUL DEATH.
Lol doubt it. It's one of he few bollywood movie I watched and from what I remember it was a campy comedy. This…
I honestly don't remember the overall plot so I'll be trusting you on this. As you mentioned it's been more than 20 years. I watched it on some DVDs my brother got from one his friend back then and haven't rewatched it since so.
Err because I've got other interesting things to do than watching dramas... And you can't watch everything so why bother with things you're not interested in?
Everything is on Dailymotion. So i usually find everything on it
So I checked. There's indeed an english translated version available.. But it's hardsubbed and as many harsubbed version the subs are put at the bottom of the screen instead of slightly above which makes reading them extremely uncomfortable. Can't follow what's on screen at the same time. Got to disable my two addblockers + one of the function of my VPN on top... (Sigh) Quality would be Okay with a lower resolution I guess but my screen is 3440x1440 px so 1080HD appears ok but anything below or with a slow bitrates appears blurry which seems to be the case here. In terms of screen qualityit is not awful, but it's still annoying to see that constant blur especially on the actors' faces.
Show looks great though... So I'll probably give it a try if I have no other thai shows I want to watch... 'cuz I won't be watching this full screen for sure. The subs position is too uncomfortable, and I can't bear that blurr.
Everything is on Dailymotion. So i usually find everything on it
Is it official or is it those types of harsubbed (hate those) poor quality releases? I just can't with those. I understand it's ok if you're watching on a tiny phone, but I usually watch dramas on my computer... and it's a traditional desktop with a big screen so...
Started well, went downhill. Not awful though. I would put it in the meh category... Current personal rating 6.5/7... There's 3 episodes left for them to up my ratings but it won't go higher than 8 and that's me being generous.
If you haven't started just don't. Chemistry is not chemistrying and too little romance.
i think his dark site is only for a while [ manipulated by his devious dad and jealousy ] , but i feel everything…
I agree with you... but it still doesn't change the fact that it's turning too dark for my taste. They should balance things out with some lighter scenes, and there's a couple here and there but I personally think it's not enough.
So preview scene for Episode 14:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8tT99mBbrM
So now it's clear... I still had my doubt when they saw the King's name in that ledger but the episode features a conversation between poor Eun Ho and his father who is whining about his life as a powerless King.
SUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURE. Cry me a river.
Than Eun Ho tells him that Deok Su/ Jae On has had a terrible life because of what his father, Lord Cheon and the Prime Minister did. And the King turns all evil and urges him to give him that freakin' ledger. Seems to the King that Eun Ho doesn't give a sh*** about the pain his murderer of a father is going through and only cares about that nobody girl who's crying a river because her kind and honest father was murdered on his and his cronies' power trip.
So Eun Ho ( I just can't remember his real name for the life of me) tells him that there's no ledger. Too many people have died for it, so how could he give the King that ledger knowing what happened. The scene ends with the King loosing his marbles.
WELL WELL WELL.
Let's execute Lord Cheon, the Prime Minister AND the KING by the end of this drama and give the throne back to the sick nephew... who I think is behind the murder Eun Ho is suspected for. I don't think he's as clueless as what he appears to be. He knows Eun Ho didn't know anything but he sure does know Eun Ho's father is a piece of filth. Mark my words, dude is just bidding his time and is gonna make a grand entrance by the end of this drama with that freakin' ledger. It's about time Jae On brought that ledger to the other orphan of that story.
Episode 13 was a tedious watch for me. I think what truly ruins it for me is Jun Hwa. The actor is really good but it's a painful watch. This show has already removed most of everything I enjoyed but doing this to this character is the final nail in the coffin for me.
The only saving grace for Jun Hwa turning to the dark side... is that he looks freakin' HOT as a baddie. Ah... How I wish Jung Gun Joo had been the lead...
Lol doubt it. It's one of he few bollywood movie I watched and from what I remember it was a campy comedy. This one is oozing "seriousness". Also wasn't there some brother birth secret or whatever in it?
For a while I've been looking forward to the scene where JH will find out his father caused the death of DS's…
I'm still hoping that once he discovers the truth he'll turn back to his former self... But watching Jun Hwa now is really painful. He was my favorite character and they did him dirty. And that preview... My God, Jun Hwa beating somebody to a pulp and going on a power trip? Honestly. NOT. FUN.
too bad, looks like Seol Mae is dead.Guys I was thinking to myself « stop showing the flashbacks of that horrible…
I don't think Eun Ho can become King... After all his father ascended to the throne thanks to Cheon and the Prime Minister plotting. He has no legitimacy so in the best case scenario, his sick cousin takes the crown that should always have belonged to him and with an act of mercy since Eun Ho is not responsible, he doesn't kill him.
ALSO.
Feels to me we're always commenting on this but agree 10000% with what you wrote for the kiss. Both leads have great chemistry as buddies but not so much as lovers... And these kisses are making my eyes bleed.
Ep 39 was completely useless. It's pure fanservice. I don't mind those usually but I didn't like this couple enough to watch an extra episode of nothingness. The kisses sucked for the whole drama... Unfortunately the extra ep featured lots of them. This couples worked ok for the little touches but the kisses were dreadful. I've always been team " if the kiss sucks don't show it". There's plenty of romantic Chinese shows that have no close ups whatsoever... But if you do it, actors gotta deliver. I want to send the actress take some kiss classes with my Queen Bai Lu but to be fair, the actor didn't try either.
Anyway fairly enjoyable overall in spite of its predictability, but I did struggle on some parts which I felt were dragging for no reason. My biggest issue will be that I never managed to be fully onboard with this couple. Be it chemistry or plot-wise, this couple just wasn't "it" for me.
Final rating 7.5. Average-good but not as mindblowing as advertised imho.
