The Positive: FINALLY SOME ROMANCE. Episode 12 ending is GREAT and sad depending on which side you are but AT…
Yeah... I mean Su Ra could have at least talked about his money problem to his friends. It's a repeat of what happened last time. For Jun Hwa, from the preview, it seems Eun Ho is going to tell him his father is the one responsible for Jae On's issues so let's hope his dark antics don't last too long. Their friendship is going to sh*** but let's hope it's only for two episodes and things go up at least for the last 2 episodes without it feeling too rushed. I can't watch these episodes in one go anymore... It's missing the fun of the earlier episodes even if I'm happy there's progress between Eun Ho and Deok Su.
I'm not sure about your comment. I think they made it a point to explain that the key is unique in the world but…
It seems you haven't fully read what I wrote.
I'm going to repeat myself but they BOTH need the content of the box:
1. Lord Cheon needs it because it's a tool he can use to blackmail people. Without it, he cannot threaten anyone since he has no proof of their misdeeds. He certainly doesn't want it gone, he wants to have it in his possession. It's not like he cannot select which part of the incriminating documents to show.
2. The King needs the content of the box to prove that Lord Cheon and the Prime Minister committed treason.
3. I don't see why it doesn't make sens to look for the keys even if you don't have the box. You need BOTH anyway. They don't know where is the box, they didn't know where Jae On, who has the second half of the key, was, so the first thing to do was to secure the part they were already sure of, hence Lord Cheon's half. At the beginning of the story, they only know one thing: There's a box with ledgers + a key divided in two and Lord Cheon has one half.
What exactly is the problem in logic there? The only thing one can truly argue about is that it's a wooden box, so ultimately you can always use a handsaw to open it or a hammer as suggested by another member.
The Positive: FINALLY SOME ROMANCE. Episode 12 ending is GREAT and sad depending on which side you are but AT LEAST Eun Ho finally knows Deok Su is a girl.
The Negative: As predicted, Jun Hwa is indeed going to the dark side due to petty jealousy... endangering the one he's supposed to protect.
So expect next week to be as DRAMAAAAAAAAAAAAATIC as this week but at least we've got our couple working together now with some heart-fluttering moments.
We had to be reaaaaaaaaaaaaally patient to get there but I'm glad this ship has sailed before episode 16 unlike what I thought would happen given the horrendous pace.
I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned it, but the primary premise of the story, the two pieced key, is so incredibly…
I'm not sure about your comment. I think they made it a point to explain that the key is unique in the world but the seal is obviously as well. Special Key, special seal. Now, I personally thought they could just burn the box altogether... BUT:
1. They don't know where the box is. In episode 11 we see Lord Cheon trying to know from his former friend where he put the box. I'm suspecting only Mae Hwa knows, and was probably told before her master passed.
2. Burning this box would definitely get rid of their problems but that wouldn't play into Lord Cheon's mindset. He needs the content of the box to threaten others and use them to his benefits. If the content is gone, so does his power. It's powerful because it exists... which is also the reason why he still try to get into the Prime Minister's good books. He can't properly threaten him without it.
Of course, you could say there are other ways you could still open that box. Sure... But honestly it's a tiny plot hole, not really worth mentioning as far as I'm concerned. And they don't have the box anyway so alternate solutions are out the window anyway.
OK. As much as I'd like to have my romance back... Gotta admit Episode 11 had a really nice cliffhanger. Can't wait to see what's gonna happen today :D
it's crazy how we're on ep 11 with a SML but the FL still shows no interest in love. Will it develop awkwardly…
I think it's probably gonna be an open ending. I mean with all that's left to be resolved: The current king needs to be ejected + the Minister of Defense + Lord Cheon + Eun Ho being crowned not crowned since his father ascended the throne thanks to the coup - though it's not entirely clear if he truly took part in it - the friendship which is bound to go down in flame need to be repaired by the end of the show, we still don't know who committed the murder since it appears it's not Lord Cheon nor the Minister of Defense so maybe the former crown prince who knows... They've got 5 episodes to do all that... but since the pacing of this drama is all over the place, I honestly don't think they'll be able to do that and then some in a timely manner.
To be fair, Jae On did show signs of being attracted to Eun Ho, but this show doesn't care about the romance it promised to attract viewers and the friendship of the innkeepers. NOPE. This show cares more about all the ANGST and DRAMA.
So if you had any hope in that area... I suggest you put them to rest, otherwise you're gonna turn like me: extremely bitter. It's Our Blooming Youth all over again.
Currently watching episode 11, by bites of 15 minutes interlaced with surfing online. NOT. GONNA.DROP. I'm close to the finish line. Hate to drop shows when I'm so close to the end.
EDIT: ALSO I can't bear to watch Lord Cheon. F*** Ass*** Want to see die already. Too much time spent with him.
...hug after Eun Ho crossed the street. I thought the way he cradled her head was so sweet and tender, and OMGGGG…
Let's cross our fingers for the next episode... They're hinting at some "passionate night" in her very grey and depressing apartment so I sure hope they're gonna up their game next week ^^
Can't blame you. I'm gonna see this one to the end but I understand if you drop it... They're upping the angst,…
The simple fact that he's his father's son meant his love story was doomed from the start. Of course he doesn't know how evil his father is... nor that basically his father is responsible for the death of the two most important people in Deok Su's life. But more importantly I fear that Jun Hwa believes Mae Hwa is responsible for Deok Su's mother's death and is the one who is going to order her murder... If so, he's definitely going to cross a line he won't be able to cross back... The way I see it, not only his love is doomed... but also his friendship... with literally everyone. Though I'm definitely VERY MUCH hoping I'm wrong on that.
Can't anymore. Given it time. Not doing it for me. Dropped it. Sorry BIY.
Can't blame you. I'm gonna see this one to the end but I understand if you drop it... They're upping the angst, and they didn't deliver on their romance promise, Eun Ho still doesn't know Deok Su is a girl, and Jun Hwa is turning evil next episode. The fun has definitely left this drama so... Yeah.
I put this on hold at episode 8. So can someone tell me WHEN THE HECK the prince find out HDS is/was a woman?…
Still hasn't today... Haven't watched the episode but the preview gave it away so nope. They're gonna drag it to the end... And we're getting heavy angst tomorrow...
Yeah... I don't know if I'll be able to finish this episode today... They're SO embarassing. I'm dying of second hand embarrassment and squirming like the miserable worm that I am.
Well. Yeon Soo kissed her... And they're both very into it on Kang Hee's bed ... I won't describe the scene in details but let's just say that Yeon Seo really took the offensive on that one. For once he called the shots.
BUT based on the preview... They're together not together next week. I don't get these two.
So just started episode 8 and I'm not really sure I'm going to survive this episode... I'm cringing very bad right now. It's good cringe... BUt I pause every minute, literally.
I can't watch these episodes in one go anymore... It's missing the fun of the earlier episodes even if I'm happy there's progress between Eun Ho and Deok Su.
Before Justice and Revenge, we've got two weeks of additional angst though... The Go Su Ra storyline doesn't bode well...
I really hope episode 16 will be fanservice only because I'm tired of the angst we've been getting for more than 3 weeks now. Tired.
