Accept it. If you know Edward Guo. his boy Tian jia Rui is very important. Most of us are used to this.
Not only that, everything about his project scream Art for Art's Sake. I am not disliking just not sure I can stay with this style where everything happens like on your media feed: bombing of Iran and dogs wagging tails in unison are next to one another and ther isn't enough time to actually watch, understand and enjoy at the same time. But that's me. Not necessarily needing linear quality but logic in production, directing and editing.
I keep thinking if LanHua was mortal and she was trying to fight\take revenge on Lady ChDi (who was a god of war) AND Dongfang Qing Can, this would be a possible outcome. 🤪 I seriously doubt they will film part 2 but one can never tell😉
the system shouldn't allow ratings until the ep has aired
My request is always the same: do not let a review to be posted while the drama is airing. Folks are trigger ready to rate a review after a few episodes which is rather dumb because there is a space to review each episode here. And I agree, rating only for what aired in China. MDL admin is really lagging behind some logistics🤦
Cute. The plot is a bit different than the typical cliches of cdrama world, but so far I have not experienced much "Wow!" Good watch so far (6 eps in), but it seems we are led to believe it is going to be awesome. Well, I am waiting... 🤪
I don't think it deserves 8.0 because this plot is riddled with so many cliches and boring tropes, not to mention…
I finished and the sheer construction of the last 30 episodes or so (tension, undying love and really interesting resolution leaving room for speculation regardless of the HE) made me raise the rating🙃8.5
I don't think it deserves 8.0 because this plot is riddled with so many cliches and boring tropes, not to mention inconsistency in characters or on a whim decisions that defy everything they previously said or shown, but to be honest I had seen worse things that kept me equally glued to the screen and only worth 7.0 or 7.5 with hideous cinematography, non-existing OST, botched editing and high-schools production acting, so in my mind I am giving it at least 7.75🤣🤣🤣 . And mostly because it was refreshing to watch Mr. Wu in a role of a playful tease and not a boring stick in the mud like he played in full length dramas (Egg and Stone, Heart of Loyalty) in a well rounded project. I like him in short dramas and in VDs because he takes risks with the material and characterizations that force him to act rather than repeat previous performance (Yield to You) and I am really looking forward to other roles that will prove his mastery of the craft. I am on ep 90 of this, so if it gets better I could be generous with the rating, although it seems that regardless of the fact that more than 50% of the folks who watched it to the end and rated it 8.0 or higher, it really sags into lower rating ☹️
