I watched this on a whim because I saw it was starring Bai Jing Ting. I didn't even read the synopsis nor watched the trailer, but I literally breezed through the 1st 12 eps. This is good.
How about 1000yr old goblins, grim reapers, gumiho's, Hotel del luna FL falling for their much younger partners…
A 1000 year old age gap is always weird if you think hard about it. The generational gap will always be there. But they're dramas so it's okay if they're not logical about it sometimes.
Right now, I'm thinking about drama couples that have at least a thousand years in age gap, except for Goblin which had an immortal fall in love with a high school student (thinking about that now, that was wrong), most couples have partners that are of "legal age" which makes the romance feel like it's legal.
In this drama, the FL in her 18th life was a 12 year old with a mental age of 1000 years old. She fell in love with an 8 year old with a mental age of (what I assume is also) 8 years old. The level of maturity is vastly different. She fell in love with a child. Even if the child was mature for his age, he was still a child. This just makes all of this so weird because what would a 1000 year old find so attractive in an 8 year old child?
The writing of this show makes me go "??????" sometimes. There's a lot of inconsistencies between the personalities of the characters.
At least based on the leads' interactions so far, they do have chemistry together. Lee Jun Ho is just oozing with charisma. It is a sight to see and is definitely the biggest saving grace of this show.
I'll probably get over it if the drama doesn't keep repeating it. But it's just so weird to me that someone with a mental age of a1000 years old fell in love with an 8 year old.
How hard was it for him to say "I'm going to borrow the heart protecting scale." Even if he didn't have time to say why, he could have said to trust him and she would have.
I remember seeing a spoiler somewhere that one of Li Susu's father will betray the other. Can someone tell me who that is going to be and why he will do it?

Youku, please take my money!!!!!!
I can't believe this is ending next week.
I genuinely cannot remember what happened in those two seasons.
