I sadly did not end up caring about the main couple or the amnesia / supposed humor. I managed to finish it for the ML's own plot in the last eps and for the crown princesses plot.

I understand, but maybe I’m just too old to find it interesting or I just prefer more dramatic ones :) I did like Love O2O though. Some eps were a bit boring in that one too but some were really good.

Thank you both! Some dramas I like had slow starts but got really good towards the end, so I try to give a chanche and not drop too fast. But if this is going to stay pretty much the same, it’s not for me.

So I'm on ep 16 and so far nothing has happened. No drama, no suspense, no funny moments, not even a peck on the lips. Is something going to happen or should I just drop this?

Yes that’s how it is in the drama. But I’ve read the ending is totally different in the novel. There is no waking up or coma, what happened to her was real.

You might like modern drama My Sunshine (2015). The FL is neutral, not strong or weak.

You can stop after ep 29 if you want a perfectly happy ending. But if you watch the last ep it's also sort of a happy ending.

Was there that plot in the novel that Zhong Xi Wu / emperor had been in love with the FL even before the do-over, or did he only fall in love with her after she changed?

They probably will, or then it’s a novel written by someone or something like that. But I have decided to ignore those parts that are only added to please the censors, I just fast forward through them and pretend they don’t exist.

Did I miss some clues, or did they not at all explain why the evil woman, SLM's mom, killed FL's brother with the boating accident? I did not notice any conversation about the motive. I can guess it could have been to loose some of the people inheriting the company, but there were so many and she did not keep killing them, did not try to kill the younger brother etc.

Usually I don't care about side plots, but here I found myself really invested in the relationship of the brother and his wife, and also the SML's childhood traumas were interesting and made him a tragic character. A question about the bad guy's motives in the comments under the spoiler tag.

So many negative comments recently, so I'll add one positive in the mix: I liked this drama, and it's one of those I keep coming back to. Even though some scenes are more boring and I skip them when I re-watch, the drama is definitely worth watching, more than once! People who come here to read the comments and decide whether to watch it, give it a try and don't give up too soon! The best part starts after he knows who she is.

I don't remember, but when I rewatch I skip all the parts when they play the game and all the parts where the ML is at work. So if you feel like giving up I recommend you fast-forward those parts at least until you start to get into it.

I went in with low expectations because of the rating, and was pleasantly surprised. It was not very realistic, especially some of the villains were over the top and illogical, but it was very entertaining. After about 200 dramas I get bored easily but this one I binged in two days and only fast forwarded some villain scenes in the last eps. There was a lot of romance. The ML fell for the FL soon and was since then very passionate until the end. After the initial misunderstanding the other small misunderstandings were solved quickly. Over all the pace was fast enough to keep me hooked. I recommend this at least to people who watch short-length dramas.
