With just 4 episodes to go, I know that there is not enough time to properly explore and better define most of the relationships in this show. And this has resulted in many people expressing disappointment. While I do not know if it will, I am hoping the book (I will read it after show finishes) will help fill in some of the gaps. These are the relationships that need more detail, I think:
-- Nan Feng and Yan
-- Shan and Dai Duo
-- Hua Yan and Bei Ci
-- Chong and his parents: a counter-point to Wei Zhi and her parents
-- Wei Zhi's parents: what do they do; why are they like this

Perhaps I am reading way too much into the show and story, and am wanting too much. But, as a former editor, I cannot help it.

I can't accept the fact that wu manman rejoined the team. If i were in wei zhi's shoes I will not accept her and…
It is interesting that I view Wei Zhi (and the others) welcoming ManMan back as entirely in keeping with her personality. She has clearly viewed the original team and the new one as her (warm, open, and forgiving) family, as opposed to her cold, impersonal, and barren biological one. Remember that she knew who was responsible for the AI scandal but did nothing because she knew he had a family (three children) to support.

And, this personality is necessary for her to "forgive" Chong and accept him back.

I want to read the book as well, but decided to wait.

Anyone else annoyed that Lin Yi was barely in ep19? I know they are in the breakup phase but really? I hate it…
I think your last sentence explains the Chong absence. Earlier comments said that the show dropped from over 30 episodes (36?) down to 23. I suspect that many of the scenes that would better expand on the Nan Feng - Yan relationship were cut. For example, we had very little of Yan's back story, even though he is nominally the second male lead.

So, in order to partially fill in the gaps of the relationships and the "Team Comic" development, I think some Chong scenes were lost.

Forgive me, I do not want to give the impression that all wealthy people are like that. While I have known many who have treated their children as possessions, I know many (the majority, I would say) who genuinely and unabashedly love their children.

It is just that some are not so good., and they "stand" out.

Kinda wish they had stuck to the novel. Though ik they had to cut out some scenes, they've still changed so much…
This could be a criticism against a large number of film and television adaptations of novels. The written word requires the reader to use their imagination to discover the story. A movie or series shows us the screenwriter's perspective/imagination of the story, which will always be subtly or drastically different from ours.

That is why a film or programme is often described as "inspired by XXX novel".

We want our daughter to have a stable life, but she can't do anything she likes or be with anyone she likes. All…
Sadly, like Enigma05, I have known many rich people who treat their children as mere "possessions". The children are driven to the private school by their nanny in the morning and then picked up in the evening. Next, it is to the private members tennis club for private lessons. Meals during the week are almost never with their parents.

The attitude of these people is "Even though I never see them, I love my children because my hard work provides everything for them". What they never understand is that loving your child is as simple and as meaningful as hugging them and sitting next to them as they fall asleep.

I did not know about this. Given the number and tone of some of the negative comments here, I can only imagine what the reality for Yu Shu Xin has been like.

Having said that, I have to wonder if one of the reasons she took this project was the treatment of Wei Zhi. Are the actor and agency implicitly saying "We will overcome all this negativity and be even better"?

Title Ski into Love Spoiler
I loved this drama until the "breakup" episode....a sweet romance..Now..last ep19.. job and nothing else......…
Actually, I saw this as the next step on the path to the Nan-Yan couple. The fact that she remembered where they first met and how rude and superficial she was to him, I saw as the start of Nan Feng's redemption into a person who wants an actual relationship.

Where were Wei Zhi's parents acknowledging her success? I want to see them eating humble pie or will that never…
To acknowledge her success would be to acknowledge that they were wrong. In real life, it might never happen. However, as this is drama and entertainment land, it will be in the last couple of episodes. It is the final redemption arc to be completed.

The point is the parents never trying to understand wei Zhi or her choices
Apologies for mixing things up. I just watched EP 19 which clears up Nan Feng's job.

Seriously, how f'ing full of yourself do you have to be to act like you're untouchable and obviously going to…
I know it was rhetorical, but the answer is full to overflowing. In my experience, a not insignificant number of business founders and owners believe the hype and "legends" about themselves. And many of them believe that they can do better than anyone else, even if the truth smacks them in the face.

I just finished Ep 18 and caught that entertainment reference in the conversation between her and Chong. Although she might still be an "accountant". I have met a few who can see beyond numbers. 😇

You would think they would realize that at least a little bit. I mean their daughter lives in the same city as…
As the proverb says "there are none so blind as those who will not see".

To me, the interactions of the two families are exactly the same as those seen in Fireworks of My Heart. In both progammes, the ML's family is warm, open, and welcoming, with lots of lots of laughter and happiness. The FL's family is rigid, formal, and cold, with no laughter and happiness.

And, now for something completely different.

Early on, several people questioned why the headrests for the front seats in some vehicles were missing. I was just chatting with a colleague from China and he confirmed that headrests are required by law. I can only assume that they were taken out for this show to make it easier to see the back seats during certain scenes.

The phrasing of your post is provocative, and received the response it seems you were looking for. I will re-phrase…
If you check out my past comments, you will see that I have not been only positive towards this show. Personally, I do not post without the expectation and hope that there will be a reply or response.

I have not seen enough of Yu Shu Xin's shows to be able to comment on her acting skills. However, you probably would not have got the responses you did if you had written something along the lines of:
"I do not think that Yu Shu Xin's acting has improved. In fact, I think it has gotten worse."

There have been a few comments criticising Chong for his reaction to his treatment by Wei Zhi's parents and her non-defence of him. The general theme is that he should not be "ghosting" her.

Nan Feng correctly pointed out that he is a proud person. We should remember how Wei Zhi was treated when she visited his parents and was introduced as his girlfriend. Polar opposites.

The parents weren’t even THAT bad (at least, compared to many other drama parents). But the way ML reacted and…
I am not certain that Chong reacted and handled things weirdly. Nan Feng's comment about him being proud is probably the best reason for his reaction.

Another unnecessary breakup in a CDRAMA?? LOUD SIGH*It infuriated me when Wen Zhi's parents spoke to Shan Chong…
I commented on an earlier post that I will not excuse or justify how Wen Zhi reacted. However, I would say that a possible explanation is that she knows her parents and realised that pushing things too hard, too quickly would make things even worse, especially with Shan Shan present.
