Im reading the webtoon and just saw in the comments that there will be a live adaptation. It will really be interesting to see how Shin Hye Sun will portray the FL's straightforward personality as someone who has lived 19 lives already.
So this was scifi all along 😅😂. Im getting flashbacks of lovers in paris back in early 2000s lol. But honestly, Im aint even that mad. I'll just treat the final school scene as the ending 😁
I watched this again but with my mom who's almost 70. It's funny how she was cursing the ML in the early episodes but in the final episode she even got teary eyed for him XD
This drama is hilarious. ML's facial expressions always cracks me up XD. The premise itself is hilarious. Only jdramas can pull off this kind of quirky premise. The characters kinda reminds me of the manga "last game" where good-looking and popular ML chases after the FL with robot-like personality.

Also, the real killer of Han Pu is actually BFX. You never ask anyone what they will do after a major battle/war. In the anime/visual novel community it is called "raising the death flag" XD.
Despite the flaws in the narrative and seemingly rushed final battle, I still thoroughly enjoyed this drama overall. While I have read many wuxia novels and manhua, I've always tried to avoid live-action. Mostly because Im not a fan of "wire-fu". But the action scenes in this drama were done so well, I actually want to watch more cdramas like this. Also, both main characters are likeable and it's awesome that they are both already "legends" from the beginning of the story. The romance is the usual "hate to love" trope but this trope just always work XD.
Because I think everybody know she impossible die and whole situation was very short. She suddenly stubbed, 5…
Yes you guys need to stop watching the teasers because they have cut many scenes so the drama will be exactly 40 episodes. Apparently, it's a new law in China. And there's also the issue of staff leaving the production when they were still filming. The production is not happy about this too, but it is what it is.
He's your stereotypical emperor in historical asian drama. He's very strict but he's not completely heartless.
It's the role of the king to punish what the law deems as a crime. While FLX's actions were justifiable, his actions were still considered a crime. As the supreme ruler, the emperor deserves to know everything in the royal family. He can punish his own family with death, if he wanted to. That's why even the emperor's own family walks on eggshells around him. This is always the case in historical dramas. Emperor's are vicious to their own family. Although one important detail in this story is that, the Emperor is extremely biased towards his empress.
Can someone please shed some light on inner force/power vs. martial arts skills?
It's qi/chi/ki or in most wuxia novels translations, they just call it spiritual energy. In martial arts, there is the belief that a force is flowing in ones body from networks of channels called "meridians". By channeling your energy in a single spot in your body, you can do superhuman feats. But this drama is kinda different. When I read wuxia novels, they almost always abolish someone's martial arts by "destroying their meridians". I think they just called it "inner force" as a vague description because not all viewers knows wuxia terms.
Although I like the chemistry of the drama, I do think it is going too fast, and because of that there are certain…
While I can see why you feel that the pacing is too fast, personally I think it's fine. Realistically speaking, many become couples in 1 or 2 months of knowing each other. But the downside of a drama with early romance is that a break up plot point is almost inevitable. You're probably right about Tae Jun's sister becoming the reason for this.
