Hope Bai Li stops being pathetic. The best character development for her is to accept the fact that he doesnt like her as much as she does. If she still ends up with him in the future, the writer/s needs some beating.
This drama is slow-paced which I dont mind, but it's freakin' 38 episodes long. Hope it doesnt become too draggy with stupid misunderstandings just so they can stretch the story to 38 episodes because it's doing great so far. At this point though, not gonna be surprised if there's a break up plot point in the future. Cdramas like this just loves following that formula.

Yeah hopefully they dont include the infidelity part. I though that was unnecessary in the original. They just wanted to make the 2nd female "not-so-perfect" so viewers will root for the female lead.
So far this adaptation is very loyal to the original, but this is also the reason why Im getting bored. I dont like rewatching dramas, and this is basically the same thing. Since I already know what's gonna happen, there's no sense of excitement T_T.
Hmmm just saw this drama in the airing list. The last drama I've seen of the female lead is Put your head on my shoulder, and I find it weird that the 2nd lead now has a lead role with the same actress lol.
The writer is too obsessed in using divorce for added drama. It's becoming repetitive and frustrating. Im close to finishing this drama. It's not that bad, but it's just frustrating sometimes.

Gotta keep in mind that this is adapted from a webtoon. The way they portray "ugliness" is different. By normal standards, FL's "real face" isnt even that awful. But since this is a drama, it was exaggerated.
Finally finished this drama. Let me start off by saying that this drama is well-written. Not because the story is innovative or amazing, it's just a cliché highschool coming-of-age romance, it's well-written because the writers knows exactly what the viewers want. It's cliché but it's the nice kind of cliché if that makes sense. I'm so glad they didn't go the breakup-makeup route and skipped the draggy melodrama. Cdramas needs to learn from this. I'm sick of cdramas with stupid misunderstandings close to the end of the series just so they can make the drama 36 episodes long. This drama isn't even 36+ episodes but it has better more satisfying ending than most of the cdramas I've watched recently. They also gave closure to all the characters and gave them character development.
The actors really did a great job. The main leads' chemistry is really good. I can see the FL's bestfriend having a main role in the future if she hasnt have already. She has the "face of a female lead". If I have something negative to say then it's gotta be the IT aspect of the drama. Because I'm also in the IT industry, some scenes were a little bit cringey for me. When ML said Php is hard for him I was like "Seriously????". The hacking scenes were especially cringey. The way they overdramatize it is kinda funny.
But Anyway, it was overall an enjoyable watch. First drama I've watched where the ML is rocking a semibald haircut lol. 8.5/10
I can understand how some will think this is boring. The pacing of the story is slow and its very slice-of-life-ish especially in the first few episodes. But personally I dont mind dramas like this. Its somewhat refreshing. I like that the main characters took their time to fall in love and didnt just happen spontaneously. I also like that its not clear when the ML fell in love with FL like it kinda just happen. I think Chae Su Bin did a great job portraying her character's awkwardness and embarrassment at times. This drama certainly isnt perfect and I have some negative criticisms to say but Im not gonna go much into that. Let's just say this drama wont excite you in any way but if you find it's appeal, it's soothing to watch.
To anyone confused about the AI device, let me explain it a little as someone who is in the IT industry. As you all know, the device is a simulation of someones personality. The device runs using "machine-learning". Basically, they program the device on how it learns and input massive amount of data and it "learns" by itself. Because it learns by itself, even the creator wont know how its learning will evolve. That is why the creators were finding its "point of reaction" because they dont know how they can make the AI react to outside inputs like voices. Though I got to point out that this drama has a bit of sci-fi elements to it. Because the device is showing intelligence that is on the same level as having human consciousness. With the current technology, this is not possible yet. No supercomputer/s yet can match how the human brain works. Also they didnt clarify how they got the data that they fed to the AI for it to learn. Unless they have a way to download data from the human brain. This is nothing but a plothole in the story that will probably never be explained because it's not even possible in the first place.
