Loved it! It was really interesting to watch the training police students do, some of the things they learn, etc. They are really strict, really polite, serious and tense.
I see that Kazama Kimichika really wanted to teach his students, is that they need to be true to themselves and help people the best way they can. It is ok to make mistakes, we are human and from those mistakes we can learn from them and use them to understand other people.
It's a shame it was short. It would be nice to see Kazama Kimichika again with different students.
currently watching and on episode 18....... (15/03/2020)
I like the main couple, good chemistry and they are cute together :D I also like the cliche parts between the main couple. Moreover, I like the story about her being an alien and we see her powers ^_^
However, the story is too draggy and I hate the amnesia part that he forgot her.
I'm fast forwarding to get it over it + although it has 28 episodes, it feels like it doesn't want to end, uhh!
EDIT: Finished! (16/03/2020)
I finally finished it with lots of fast forwarding.
Long story short, Feng Leng got over his trauma and remembered everything about Chai Xiao Qi.
Feng Leng and his brother know that she is an alien and needs to go back to her planet to heal properly.
Xiao Bu, her turtle pet aka her AI managed to take out the sapphire from Feng Leng's heart.
Chai Xiao Qi was taken to her planet and Feng Leng waited for her for 2 years and he developed a product after her.
Chai Xiao Qi appeared and is officially staying on Earth as her planet send her as an ambassador to represent her planet for peace.
The story was not bad, I mostly liked the scenes of the main couple and the parts where they showed the super powers of Chai Xiao Qi. However, the story had many filler plots and the story could have been much shorter and to the point.
Instead, they should have included more information about Chai Xiao Qi, the difference between her and humans, her planet, her planet's customs, etc. It would have been interesting.
The only time we get to know more about her is when she got kidnapped by that researcher and some things we found out about her in the beginning of the drama.
We found out her blood is blue, her blue blood creates sapphires, she heals quickly, she is strong, she can transport easily, she doesn't sweat, she can speak different languages, etc.
Also, what happened to the blue blood that researcher extracted from her? And why does her blood create sapphires? There are many questions about her left hanging.
They could have opened so much since they created an alien story, but they prefered to show the usual office drama, with the usual cliches, uhh! Ok, I can't complain since I loved the main leads together, but the alien story was interesting and should have focused on that! And it's mostly why I wanted to watch it.
Anyway, the acting was good and all actors were great. I also liked the characters. The music was not bad either, it was pleasant to listen to.
currently watching and on episode 11..... (10/03/2020)
I love it. It's so beautiful and makes you feel all kinds of emotions from laughing to crying. Also, the twist they did I totally did not see it coming.
The story started with a watch where Kim Hye Ja found it when she was a little girl. She started to rewind that watch and go back in time whenever she wanted to change the past. This resulted in her aging fast.
Anyway, lots of things happened where her father died and she rewinded the watch many times, until Kim Hye Ja was finally able to save her father. However, the price she paid was that she turned really old. From 25 years old she turned to a 70 year old woman.
We see her ''adventures'' as a 70 year old woman and help her friends, her family, Lee Joon Ha and other elderly people she got to know when she attended a place that was made to gather elderly people and use different ways to get money from the elderly people.
The mission part was my favourite. This is where Kim Hye Ja gathered all the elderly people who did not sign the insurance, saved the other elderly people who were going to get killed for their insurance and also saved Lee Joon Ha, who was kidnapped. It was really hilarious, kind of exaggerated but awesome xD
To be honest, I stopped watching on episode 7 and paused it for 9 days, as somehow it was getting irritating. Or maybe the story was moving slow. I don't know, something felt missing.
Anyway, I continued it and from episode 10 onwards, I was totally shocked. I totally did not expect that Kim Hye Ja, the elderly woman actually had alzheimer's disease and totally twisted the reality with her past memories.
So we get to see the actual reality of Kim Hye Ja and we get to see how alzheimer's disease actually is and what it can do to you.
Also, this drama makes you understand more elderly people and appreciate them more. Yes, they can be slow, take time to understand certain things, etc, but we need to be understanding, patient, make them happy, etc.
So, basically what we saw from the beginning until now, was totally a made-up life of Kim Hye Ja. She actually lived in the 70's and not in the present time. Wow, it was a really big twist, I love that :D
Also, the people around her were included in her made-up life. Her parents were actually her son and daughter-in law. Her friends were old like her. The elderly people were in the nursing home that Kim Hye Ja was in, etc. The story really took a different turn.
Last episode left............
EDIT: Finished!! (10/03/2020)
I cried so much in the last episode. It was too sad. Kim Hye Ja literally did not know what hit her. The next her husband is in jail for who knows what and the next he's dead. It's too sad!!!!
At least Kim Hye Ja's son understood more his mother and why she was harsh towards him while growing up + he was not a burden on her. Ok, she may have changed and did not show her love towards her son after her husband died, but she did love him, did her best to raise her son and put food on the table.
It was beautiful and makes you appreciate your life more. It tells you to be grateful for little things, be grateful for your family, health, etc as you never what will happen and lose them.
It was a great story, great characters and awesome acting :D Definitely worth a watch ^_^
Love your article! :D It reminds me of my childhood, when I used to watch lots of Power Rangers ^_^ And that's where my love of Superheros started xD
At that time, I did not know that Power Rangers were inspired by Super Sentai. It wasn't until I discovered asian dramas and saw Kamen Rider dramas on MDL, that I thought that these are really similar to Power Rangers.
Then when I looked it up, I discovered that Power Rangers was actually an adaption. I really enjoyed your article, as I did not know lots of information about Super Sentai and I was glad to learn about it ^_^
And I really loved the drama Tokusatsu Gagaga, awesome drama :)
And it would have been awesome if Super Sentai would have been part of MCU! Why not? I can imagine them being part of a parallel earth or even in the same timeline, meet all the other marvel characters and fight against villains xD It would be exciting!!
Unfortunately, nowadays I wouldn't watch any Power Ranger or Kamen Raider dramas. I did try once when I got older, but I found it childish. However, I will always love Power Rangers and they give me good memories ^_^
Btw, I did like the Power Rangers 2017 movie, as it was more adapted for older audiences. Ok, it wasn't the best ever, but it wasn't that bad. But it was not liked, so I don't think they will make a sequel.
I totally agree that the recent k-dramas are boring, especially the story. Like it starts out great, but it gets draggy, boring or uses the same plots and you guess what will happen or how it will turn out. My favourite stories are when I do not guess at all and turn up with a twist or a plot I couldn't imagine ^_^
And as you mentioned some k-dramas like 'Her Private Life'. I loved it because of the amazing acting and chemistry of the main leads, the story was ok.
However, maybe it's also because I grew up and I don't like them that much anymore. I feel like my tastes changed from when I was 13 to now 10 years later. I used to love school dramas and cliches plots, but now not that much anymore. It depends anyway, sometimes I like them, sometimes I don't.
currently watching and on episode 5...... (24/02/2020)
I like it. It is interesting and gets you intrigued.
It makes you want to find out more about the Hansol Orphanage and about the children in the orphanage.
Why were most of them killed? Were most of them a product of artificial insemination? And they were like experimenting on them? Which is why Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88 has blue eyes?
But still why was Do Hyun Jin / Lee Young Eun kept alive and adopted by Do Jae Hwan? She was part of the orphanage. Or he adopted her to keep his wife happy, since she is mentally unstable.
Also, other questions like; why did Pavel raise Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88? He had no reason to, especially since he was an assassin.
Why did Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88 decide to keep Kang Seul Gi alive, even after she is a witness of a murder case that Pavel committed? Ok he said the reason is that she was too young, being 11 years old at that time, but still people grow up and can talk.
For Do Hyun Jin / Lee Young Eun, she is suspecting Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88 being her friend from the orphanage. But I don't think she is suspecting him as the killer yet.
It does make you question lots of things and thus makes you continue watching to find out.
However, I don't know what it is but there is something that makes me feel bored or puts me off in this drama.
Maybe it's because of the tension in the drama, it is mostly serious and gives you no breath at all. Also, there is barely any comic relief, so maybe it is suffocating me.
Ok, it does make sense that there shouldn't be any at all, and I do like how the story is being presented. But as I said there is something missing in it.
Or maybe, it's the feeling of helplessness. It's like the more you dig in the story, the more ugly things come up and there is the feeling that you cannot do anything about it.
Also, I have a feeling that the main lead will end up badly since he's an assassin or others characters end up badly + the tragedy genre gives you a bad feeling.
I don't know what it is. Maybe the missing thing I'm feeling are not these things I mentioned at all.
Anyway, the animals are really cute though and seeing some of the characters smile at the animals, gives you some relief and see some positivity in the drama.
Anyway, it's not the best ever, but it's not bad. I will definitely continue watching it.
The last 2 episodes were the best ever and really heart breaking at the same time! I cried so much!!! T_T
Even if Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88 killed many people and did deserve to go to jail for the rest of his life, they shouldn't have killed him!
He was a victim himself! Plus, he gave the police many evidences and helped them arrest the bad ones. So they could have at least let him live. I knew it that he would die, my bad feeling was right.
Also, Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88 is right in many ways. Like Do Hyun Jin / Lee Young Eun's adoptive father would have definitely been released and killed those children. The law protects the corrupt ones who have wealth, power and connections and casts the weak ones aside.
I know murder is wrong, and he shouldn't have killed, but it's thanks to him that the children are safe and even the sponsors and the ones involved were arrested. He deserved a better ending or at least lived. I really cried so much!! T_T
But still murder is wrong. This drama really plays with your morality. You cannot help but agree with Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88's methods and reasons.
Moreover, it was really sad when Seul Gi begged Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88 to stay and cooked her the last meal.
Even when Philip shield the bullets for Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88. I totally did not expect that, he was the greatest friend ever and also did not deserve to die either.
I really cried so much at those parts. So sad and heart breaking!
It's still a mystery why Pavel raised Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88. Apparently, he should have killed him. Maybe, some conscious formed and thus he raised him instead. Well, Pavel did feel guilty that he raised Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88 as a killer and told him to choose a better path when he was on the verge of death.
Also, the children were numbered, seen as objects and their purpose of life were to be sacrificed and give their organs to their sponsors. So cruel!
The mystery of Kim Soo Hyun / Number 88 blue eyes, which btw we never saw again, were that they experimented with the dna and changed the chromosomes. Human lives are not there to experiment on!!
Do Hyun Jin / Lee Young Eun's adoptive father was really cruel and had no conscious at all. Evil to the end and really deserved to die.
I love the cast, characters, animals, music, acting and the story.
Ok, it was not perfect and as I said above, it had something missing. But the last 2 episodes were great and gives you hope. However, it did make me cry so much.
I watched the anime recently and liked it. Then I found out that there is a live action drama and wanted to watch it :)
It was very interesting on how they managed to tell the story in one minute ^_^
It's the first time I've seen a drama like this. It's like they are doing the fast forward of an episode for me and has no filler plots or extra plots.
The story is really identical to the anime and few things are changed but I enjoyed it ^_^
It's cute and entertaining <3 The ghosts reminded me of Casper, they're really adorable <3
For the acting, it's a bit fake, but not bad. It's like an anime style acting.
Also, the story is still not finished. I hope they continue it in this style :)
currently watching and on episode 21..... (16/02/2020)
I like it, but I started to fast forward it from episode 14 onwards as the story is getting too draggy.
Ok, I like the cast, characters, acting and music.
I also like how we get to see the work involved around an artist / idol.
We get to see the assistant job, the manager's job, the hierarchy in an entertainment company, the difficulties they face, the problems they encounter and how they tackle it.
Also, the people you encounter and how they may help you or destroy you. Also, we see about the media, the fans, the critics, etc.
Also, we get to see how an entertainment company can see artists / idols. Moreover, how an artist acts, if he/she creates problems, how to solve it and if he/she does something good, how to take advantage of it, etc.
It's interesting to see these, but it's getting too draggy.
Like for example, Yu Zi Rui, he's aspiring to be a singer.
Ok, he did not want to sign to the Star entertainment company because of their outrageous terms and then he signed to another one called Blossom.
But now, this company failed and he's back to square one and signed with Star entertainment company. For me, this was too long and draggy.
I would have cut the story shorter and make him sign with Star entertainment company in the first place. Ok, maybe this can happen in real life, but in the case of a drama, this was too long and a filler plot.
Anyway, I'm glad for Yang Zhen Zhen. She got promoted to be a manager. She deserves it as she really worked hard for it.
Also, I admire her for working with Zheng Bo Xu this long. If it was me, I would have flipped everything.
Also, when she was an assistant, she did many jobs that Zheng Bo Xu's ex-manager was supposed to do and instead she did them herself.
Also, she had just started working so she had no experience and no idea at all what to do.
Considering all this, she really did well, worked hard, learned quickly, learned from her mistakes and is constantly improving herself.
Also, she's humble and always asks help and guidance from others. I also love how she does what she think is right, even if it does not always go well. But most of the time, she's right and does not give up even if others blame her. I admire her that she does not give up and continues moving forward.
I will cheer her on as a manager. Of course, she will have more work and more responsibility, and will meet many obstacles, but I'm sure she will do well :)
Moreover, now that Yang Zhen Zhen is Zheng Bo Xu's manager, they will get closer. I hope we see their love blossom soon <3
Ok, they have something between them for sure, but they both haven't realised it yet or don't want to admit it yet.
For Yu Zi Rui, he's a nice guy but I cannot ship him with Yang Zhen Zhen. They're too nice to each other and they are more like friends.
I hope he gets together with Xia Yuan, Yang Zhen Zhen's friend. They have more chemistry and look cute together <3
EDIT: currently watching and on episode 44....... (23/02/2020)
The story is too draggy. I even took a 7 day break from this drama and watched something else. Then I ended up really fast forwarded the remaining episodes to finish it.
I mostly like the main leads, they are cute together <3 I love their chemistry and their interactions <3
The downside is that it took them too long to be officially together, like in this episode they got together.
Yang Zhen Zhen realised she likes Zheng Bo Xu in episode 27, if I remember correctly. While, Zheng Bo Xu did like her way before that. I think he officially started to like her or say care for her the moment he decided to make a custom made shirt for her.
Also, he designed a ring for her as well, so adorable <3
And Yang Zhen Zhen did accept his proposal after discussing it with him and confirming that he really loves her, yay ^_^
For the rest of the story, I like that we see Zheng Bo Xu changing for the better and he sings what he really likes, that is rap.
It nice that we get to see him train and he improved. I think anyway that he improved. I still don't know why Gu Ye / Jeff wanted him to blow on a feather and on a candle.
For the rest of the story, it's filler plots.
We see Zheng Bo Xu's dad wanting for force his son to take over the company and even complains about his love life. I don't get it. He has a daughter who already works in his business, is good at it and is more interested in it. I don't get why he wants his son to do it. Because he is male? Uhh, I hate that!
For the star entertainment company, I hate the CEO. He uses everyone and anyone as he wishes. Yeah ok, he's sick, but that doesn't mean, he should do things like this. He should focus more on his health and stop doing everything himself. That means he doesn't trust anyone, even his wife. Like she found out now in this episode or the one before. He should have told her.
We also see about Yu Zi Rui and he finally got popular.
For Yu Zi Rui and Xia Yuan, the ship sank. Yu Zi Rui rejected her and Xia Yuan is doing her best to forget him.
Now to the story.
Couldn't they leave it as a simple singing competition?
The main cast are now in a foreign country and participation in a singing competition.
Ok, Yu Zi Rui sang, but I think Zheng Bo Xu will miss his chance as Yang Zhen Zhen got kidnapped because Zheng Bo Xu is rich. Uhh!! Too draggy.
I want to finish the last episode.............come on, let's finish it!!!!
currently watching and on episode 22....... (8/02/2020)
I did not expect to like it so much, and it took me two years to watch it. But I love it :D
I really love the robot Nam Shin and I really want him to end up with Kang So Bong.
Ok, you tell me that he doesn't feel emotions, he's a robot and a robot and a human can't have a relationship, it's unrealistic, it's absurd, it's crazy, it doesn't make sense to have a long term relationship with a robot, etc. Give me other reasons and yeah you're right.
But I do think he has emotions. Of course not the human way, but I feel that he does in his own way. He is more than a robot and he progressed a lot.
Ok, he's not human and he will never be, but he's more than a robot. He progressed a lot and come on he's more human than we'll ever be, me included of course. I see him as a better human than all of us. Of course, he's not perfect as humans made him.
And I don't see nothing wrong with being in a relationship with a robot. Why not? He's the perfect one to be with; he can talk, feel as a human, do everything as a human, expect for feeling true emotions.
Ok, it does feel crazy, while I write this, but again why not? There are people who marry objects and animals, so why can't I be with one who is similar to be a human, especially someone like the robot Nam Shin? Like Kang So Bong, I feel he is more than a robot, and if I were in her position, I think I would do the same.
Like after all, the real Nam Shin is really cold blooded, cruel, selfish, self-centered, etc. Why should I love the real Nam Shin if I were Kang So Bong?
Ok, you tell me the robot Nam Shin was programmed to be nice, etc, but again he's more than a robot.
For the real Nam Shin, you tell me that the circumstances made him that way. Ok, he grew up in a cold family, with a cold grandpa, a world of dog eats dog world, a survival of the fittest, his mother kind of abandoned him or she didn't fight for him, etc.
Ok, you're right, but I believe that even if you have or had bad circumstances while you grew up; it is your life, you make it and shape it.
Of course, if you let your bad circumstances affect you, you will fall. Ok, it's better said than done, but I believe that if you strive and work hard, you can make your life better. You will meet many obstacles, but fighting hard will get you there.
Anyway, my point is that the real Nam Shin could have strived to make himself better, but he chose to go with the flow, be angry of his life and situation, etc.
Anyway, I'm saying this as if what is happening in the story is real. I really got into this story lol.
And I'm really loving that I'm having these thoughts and organizing them. That's why I love Sci-fi stories, it gets you to think and see in different perspectives.
Ok, I'm not the brightest person in the world, and you may see my thoughts as stupid and don't make sense, but anyway we're humans, what does make sense after all?
What is normal? There are many things that in the past were not seen as normal, but today we accept with open arms, and it is the new normal.
So why can't we accept a relationship with a robot? I'm mostly saying this because many people commented about it, and are against it.
Ok, I don't see myself in a relationship with a robot. I never even had one with a human yet, so I'm definitely not rushing to be with a robot. But still, who am I to judge others? Maybe they will be happier that way.
Back to the story.
Call me evil and cruel, but I kind of wished or ok being honest, I wished that the real Nam Shin wouldn't wake up. I really don't care what happens to the real Nam Shin, but I'm scared what will happen to the robot Nam Shin. Uhh, the real Nam Shin woke up in this episode, let's see what will happen. I hope they don't use the kill switch.
Everyone is using the robot Nam Shin, expect for Kang So Bong. She is the only one who genuinely cares for him, as the others are all using him and want something from him.
Even David, is using him as he is actually working with PK's CEO aka the grandpa and the grandpa knows everything that is going on. That was shocking.
I thought he was really cruel and cold blooded after he faked having dementia to trick people around him. Ok, a smart move, to know who is on your side and who isn't, but still he's too cold and calculating. He is too evil and knows how to use people.
For Dr Oh, Nam Shin's mother. Don't get me started. I hate her the most.
After using the robot Nam Shin as a replacement for 20 years, used him to comfort her, used him to forget that she didn't fight for her real son, used him to forget about her guilt, used him as a puppet and dance to her tune, etc, she now wants to get rid or forget about the robot Nam Shin.
Is she serious? Is she that cruel? Does she feel nothing at all for the robot Nam Shin, who was there for her all this time?
Even if she sees him as just a robot, a replacement of her son, isn't she attached to him? After all she created him. Even, I get attached to stuff and things easily. Like even if I lose a rubber, I feel bad about it. Ok, then maybe I'm weird.
Uhh, I'm so angry at most of the characters.
I really want Kang So Bong to take the robot Nam Shin somewhere far away. Yeah, when she decided to do so, the real Nam Shin woke up, uhh!
Well, she's letting the robot Nam Shin decide what he wants to do, so yeah ok she cannot order him to come with her.
Another thing, can't they give the robot Nam Shin another name? Even Kang So Bong did not come up with one and she is constantly emphasizing to treat him as a human, not as an object.
Ok, he's replacing the real one, but still, couldn't she give him a name and be a secret between them? Ok, she did call him 'slave' but that is a definite no. Even I feel stupid writing 'robot Nam Shin.'
I'll give him a name myself........Shine. He's shines so brightly when he smiles. That's a perfect name for him. Ok I'm the worst person to give names, so don't judge, that's what my brain thought of, ok.
Ok, lol I feel better, I got some of my anger out. I'll continue watching............
Ok they are still calling the robot Sin, but still it's confusing, so I'll call him Shine.
For Dr Oh, she finally came to her senses and also sees Shine as her son as well. So I like her now. But I totally did not expect that she would die. I cried at that part. I felt sorry for Shine, like he looks like he is feeling sad but he cannot feel them or express them.
Seo Jong Gil killed Dr Oh and even Sin's father as well. Ok, technically, Sin's father tried to escape and fell out of the window, but Seo Jong Gil instead of helping him, he choked him to death, so he still killed him.
For the real Nam Shin, he's a total jerk.
Ok, I kind of get his reasons why he is acting out. He felt betrayed that his mother found someone else, aka replaced him and abandoned him, while he waited for her for 20 years. And he kept going on, even if he was scared, even if he was tired, even if he was scared of the threats his grandpa made, even if the home he lived into was a hell, etc. I get that, but still he's going too far.
Like using Shine to hurt people, that's definite no for me. He used Shine to try to kill the grandpa and also try to kill Kang So Bong. Thank God, Shine went against the manual mode :D
Like even Ji Young Hoon had to take drastic measures and went against the real Nam Shin. Ok, it was for Nam Shin's sake, but still I think that made Nam Shin worse. And I did not expect that. Ji Young Hoon was always at his side and did everything for the real Nam Shin.
Plus, Nam Shin is angry that people are comparing him to Shine, who of course is 100x times better in him, and I am comparing them on how they act. Like Kang So Bong said, Shine is more human than the real Nam Shin.
And Nam Shin activated Shine's kill switch! >_< Ok, Dr Oh gave him a chip to fight against the kill switch, but at the credits it was shown that it did not work!! And now she's dead. They're going to kill my Shine, no!!! T____T I'm hoping not!!!
For the grandpa, he now really got dementia. Karma really works. I don't feel sorry for him, he deserves it. And he's still obsessed with his company and wants his dream to work. He continued to prioritize his company over his family even in that state.
Last two episodes, let's see what will happen...............
I really cried so hard, when Shine died T____T He pretended to be the real Nam Shin to protect him.
After 1 year passed, the real Nam Shin did all he can to help fix Shine. And thanks to David, they did fix him.
I'm so happy for Shine and Kang So Bong, they're together again <3
For Seo Jong Gil, he got what he deserved and is in jail.
It's all thanks to Seo Ye Na. She was not my favourite character, but it's thanks to her, that everything went well and gave the police evidence that her father killed Dr Oh and not Shine.
For the grandpa and other characters, I kind of wished to see what happened to them after one year. The ending was rushed, but still it was what I wanted. A happy ending and my Shine still alive ^_^
I love the cast, the characters, the acting, the chemistry between Zhao Yun Lan and Shen Wei (I shipped them really hard together, but I will leave it in my imagination), the friendship and teamwork of SID members. I love how they do anything for each other, they consider each other more like family than friends <3
I love all the members of SID, they are all awesome in their own way ^_^
However, my favorite one was Guo Chang Cheng. Ok, on surface he gets scared easily, he is like an idiot, naive and believes in people too easily.
But I love how he never gives up even if he is scared or helpless. He tries so hard to help even if he does not assist in any way or usually ends up making things worse. Like the time, when he and two others were stuck in a freezing room.
Also, I love how he sees good in people, even if they did wrong things. I love his positivity. He's the exact positive of me, I tend to always think negatively before seeing things in a positive light.
Also, near the end of this drama, around episode 34, if I remember correctly, he was injected with a serum, where now he got powers.
The power he got might be sad as he sees the memories and the will of people after they are dead, but it fits him. He always wants to help others, even at the expense of his own life, so Guo Chang Cheng conveying messages from dead people to their relatives, friends and loved ones, fits him.
I also love how the SID helped and assisted people which include humans, Dixings and Yashou.
I love its message that we should accept and help everyone even if we see them different from us. People being different, doesn't make them less human.
Going on the story, I loved it in general.
It is very interesting, especially around the 4 hallows. It is also interesting to see the fight between different races, the fights between good and evil, the magic, how the SID and Black Cloak, aka Shen Wei try to keep the peace.
Also, it was nice to see how not all Dixings and Yashou are bad and even if they did wrong things, circumstances lead them to it or they were tricked to do bad things. I liked that the Black Cloak, helped many times.
However, the story kind of got draggy.
It did start interesting in the beginning, having Professor Shen Wei hiding his identity, helping members of SID, helping people, etc.
It made me feels lots of emotions like it made me laugh, cry, feel sad, angry, felt pity for those people who were used, etc.
Also, the story started with detective style, where SID members investigated suspicious and weird deaths.
Then it kind of moved to the 4 hallows, and chasing around the villain who controlled other people.
We also saw about the members of SID, their past, their trauma, their fears, their strengths, etc. It was nice to learn about them.
Then we find out that there is another villain who is on top of them all, Ye Zun, the brother of Black Cloak.
I'm glad the mystery cleared up and we found out how Shen Wei met with Zhao Yun Lan 10,000 years ago. At first I thought that Zhao Yun Lan incarnated or something, but I guessed wrong. It was time travelling.
It was actually the first and original chief of SID who brought him back in time. That's where the 2 main leads met, even met with the cat, Da Qing. Zhao Yun Lan happened to save Shen Wei. That's why Shen Wei told him many times, especially when he saves Zhao Yun Lan from mishaps, that it is his repayment.
I love these two <3 They both always help and sacrifice for each other <3 <3 <3
For Ye Zun, he totally misunderstood. He thought Shen Wei, his brother abandoned him and that's why he wanted to kill the whole world and reform it. So, all the people that died were for nothing, uhh!
Anyway, Shen Wei stopped him. And I question, couldn't Shen Wei ask his younger brother earlier why he wanted to kill and take over the world? Especially when Ye Zun was still chained to the pillar? Ok, maybe Ye Zun wouldn't believe him.
But, the reason why Ye Zun planned for 10,000 years to get revenge, became a stupid reason and it's all because of a misunderstanding. I'm not satisfied with that, uhh!
It was so sad that both Shen Wei and Zhao Yun Lan sacrificed themselves and died :( They saved everyone, including humans, Dixings and Yashou. Also, many other supporting characters died as well :(
I'm crying so much T__T They died and got separated. However, they made a promised or made a bet, that no matter how long it will take, they will meet again. So sad T__T
But the ending, it gives you the message that there is hope for a better future and they will meet again :) At least in my opinion.
The story was interesting and I did like it, but there was something that made me feel bored, or lose interest many times.
The fact that I paused it many times and watched movies and watched an american series in between + decided to fast forward the last 20 episodes, means that there was something missing in the story at least for me.
Or maybe, the story changed many directions many times, that's why I lost interest many times, I don't know.
I liked the last 3 episodes though, they made me feel different emotions.
Anyway, it took me 2 years to watch it, and although it was not perfect and there was something missing in it, it still had many great things that I enjoyed.
I'm still glad I watched it ^_^ And I still recommend to watch it, even if it ends on a sad note, but to be fair, it does give a message filled with hope :D
Happy ending :)
====================================================================
General thoughts:
The end.
Season 1 ends with Mu Shi Shi finding out that Yang Luo Tian is actually a woman and not a man.
I did not watch season 2 yet, so I don't know what happens.
currently watching and on episode 11.....
I agree with you on extraordinary you. I mostly liked the first 10 episodes and liked that the story was based in a comic world.
However, the story went downhill and I had lots of questions that were left unanswered. It also had the same cliches and plots we see in k-dramas.
Awesome article! I enjoyed reading it :)
currently watching and on episode 5......
====================================================================
MEGA MEGA SPOILERS:
EDIT: Finished! (25/02/2020)
====================================================================
Conclusion:
This drama is really great.
I love the cast, characters, animals, music, acting and the story.
Ok, it was not perfect and as I said above, it had something missing. But the last 2 episodes were great and gives you hope. However, it did make me cry so much.
Worth a watch!
I continue watching.........
====================================================================
====================================================================
EDIT 2:
Finally finished and happy ending to everyone.
The end.
currently watching and on episode 22.......
====================================================================
EDIT: On episode 35........ (12/02/2020)
====================================================================
EDIT 2: Finished!
The end. I loved it! :D Worth a watch ^_^
I like it in general :)
The end.
