Loved it! :D The acting was good and the emotions felt real and were on point :D I loved the cast and characters :D Also, I loved the friendship and teamwork.
I don't really like volleyball, or understand it much. But I ended up rooting for them, crying with them, smiling, happy when they won matches, sad when they lost matches, loved it when they teased each other, feel hurt and sad with betrayal, etc. A beautiful team and friendship ^_^
Moreover, it was short, simple and just right :D No dragginess and they told what they needed to tell. Also, even the ads for the products, it did not feel annoying as usual or forced. But they were integrated with the story.
Loved the ending :D It would be awesome, if Than and Puen get to play together in college as well ^_^
It took me some time to watch it and I'm glad I finally did :D Definitely worth a watch ^_^
It wasn't perfect, it had flaws, had various cliches, slow progress, felt draggy at times and I did fast forward some scenes. Also, in my opinion, it has unrealistic reactions like for example Fuuta's reactions when he found out about Yoko being married, he took it too lightly. Or his character is too honest, I don't know. If there is a person like him, I have yet to meet him.
However, even with all the things I mentioned above, the story grew on me as it went along. I liked the original plot where Shouko was actually single and lied that she was married. It's kind of exaggerated and over the top, but it was interesting and new for me.
Also, I kind of get her reasons why she lied and said that she was married. The situation kind of made it that way + maybe Shouko felt like it was a kind of safety net to say that. And so, all in all she lied and continued it.
For her sister's side, Yoko's affair, it's the typical and common thing we see nowadays. At first I could not understand her why she wants to keep her relationship with her husband and also with her lover.
Then, as the story went along, we get to realise that it's because of society, because of her parents and because of the standards that women have to go through.
Like women need to have a good career, need to also know household chores, need to get married, the husband needs to have certain standards, the husband needs to be of similar age or it's ok if he's older, need to have children, then if you have children the woman is expected to take care of them and need to know how, etc. If you do not have these, people will talk about you, society will judge you, your parents will annoy you, people will think you are not normal or you are weird, etc.
I see this in asian dramas a lot. They always judge a woman for not being married and if you are near 30s and older, you are considered the passing age or something. Also, they call you weird, or say anything that according to them, why you haven't got married yet or aren't in a relationship.
Like a woman needs to be married to be happy, needs to have children to be happy, needs to be in a relationship, etc. It's not true for all women. Yeah ok they are those who of course want to be married, have children, etc, but that is not for everyone. You cannot put everyone under the same umbrella.
Back to Yoko. I then began to understand her reasons. She did not love her husband, only saw the exterior things, decided to do things for the sake of other people and society, etc. She made mistakes and lied a lot, however I'm glad she finally decided to get a divorce. Afterall, she wasn't happy and it wasn't fair either on her husband and either on her lover. Also, she dragged Shouko into the lies as well.
Afterall, what kind of life is it to be constantly lying? Ok, we are humans and we lie. However, lying to your partner, husband, wife, etc and having affairs is not good. So, I believe that if we do not love our partners anymore, or there is something wrong in the relationship, I believe it is better to separate or divorce immediately. There is no need to start affairs. You will hurt yourselves and others involved.
Also, I'm happy that they had no children. What I hate the most when married couples separate or divorce is when children are involved. It really affects them badly and children take it differently. Some act out, some cause trouble, some get into wrong things like drugs, some met the wrong people, some do not act out at all but keep it all bottled up until she/he explodes, etc.
I'm no expert, but I'm in my second year as a teacher and I have already seen lots of students with complicated backgrounds and how they act in school is the effect of their homes and it's ruining their lives. Anyway, that's mostly why I hate divorces or separations.
Also, I liked the acting, the characters, the OST, the relationship between the sisters (Shouko and Yoko), the friendship between Shouko and Masako (she's an awesome friend) and the main couple (Shouko and Jyo) were cute together. Their chemistry wasn't out of this world; I have seen better, but it wasn't bad.
Also, it had quite serious and heavy topics like lying and affairs, but it was quite light considering the affair plot.
I do not know if it's worth a watch or not. You may like it a lot, may find it average, or may hate it a lot. I suggest that if you have no idea what to watch or you find the plot interesting, watch it and see. If you like it, well and good, but if you hate it, fast forward it or drop it.
currently watching...........and on episode 28 (16/12/19)
Ok, I really loved the beginning and the first 10 episodes (out of 32) were awesome, interesting, original and exciting. Also, many times it was hilarious :D
At first, I found it similar to W, but this one is different. We are never shown outside the comic / webtoon world (at least up till now, but 4 episodes left, but I don't think so) and some of the characters, are aware of themselves, which made that really interesting and original.
The comic world story, that is called Secret, is really similar to Boys Before Flowers, and has much more cliches. It was hilarious each time, especially when the aware characters are 'ON' mode (called stage mode in the drama) and we hear their internal thoughts and they are like, uhh! it's so exaggerated, so cliche, so stupid, etc. So hilarious! :D
It's also hilarious when they are in the 'OFF' mode (called shadow in the drama) and they act differently from their ON mode character. Especially, Eun Dan Oh was really awesome, sassy, assertive and strong in the OFF mode. And she's really adorable ^_^
I really love Haru and Eun Dan Oh as a couple. They're really cute, adorable and sweet together + awesome chemistry <3
Also, I love all the cast, awesome acting :D Moreover, I like the characters ^_^ Some characters in the comic world, were kind of strange, one dimensional and like puppets, but since it's a cliche comic story, they pass. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- However, it's a shame, but as the story went along, it went downhill.
Like, in the middle of the story, the story started to turned boring, repetitive and annoying. Like, ok we get that Haru and Eun Dan Oh are desperate to be together, but the whole I'm going to die soon + Haru being too worried about her, dragged on. It was too long.
Also, what I'm finding annoying, is the amnesia thing. Ok, Haru got amnesia, it did not annoy me that much, as I accepted it as a consequence / punishment for changing the story.
But now also Eun Dan Oh has amnesia and only 4 episodes left?? Ok, it was explained as if you die in the OFF mode, you are alive in the ON mode, but you forget your memories in the next scene. But, the amnesia part is used too much here! Also, it was suddenly introduced. Why wasn't it mentioned before?
Like, even the unaware characters, get amnesia and do not remember what happened in their OFF modes. They only remember the parts in the ON mode. In the beginning, it was hilarious and ok, but with all the amnesia, going on, it turned annoying and repetitive as well. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Uhh!!! and lots of questions that I have on this story, will probably be left unanswered.
Like, who is the writer?
He/She is mentioned a lot, but we never get a glimpse of the writer. At least, in W, we knew who was the writer.
Also, it was slowly explained the Haru and Eun Dan Oh actually knew each other, even Squid Fairy, Kyung, Eun Dan Oh's father, Kyung's step-father, Nam Ju's mother, Kyung's father, etc (some that I remember) were all together with the same appearance and name in another comic / webtoon story called Flower, however it was set in a historical context.
What I didn't like in this Flower comic story, was that it was kind of pushed in randomly and that it was like used to fill the episodes, Also, that it was similar to the Secret story.
Like what kind of writer is this! Which writer would repeats a similar story with some of the same characters and even uses the same lines. People in the real world would be bound to notice. That doesn't make sense in my opinion. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other questions like: (some of them taken from Kamiali's review and agree with them)
=Why do shadows exist in the first place?
=How do the changed scenes affect the writer's planning in real life?
=What's the point of this whole drama if the characters will face the same problem in the other works the author writes?
=What happens to the characters after a story is completed?
=Why does Haru sleep in school?
Ok, in the beginning we get that he is nameless and was called Number 13 and he also has no idea who he is. But after, he got the amnesia and then he became aware again, he started to know something about himself. However, he was still shown living at school.
=Why don't we know anything about Haru, other than that he likes Dan Oh and likes drawing?
=Also, why did the writer or whatever let Haru keep the scar on his hand, if the Secret comic is a new start for all characters?
It would have been interesting, if the characters in the Secret comic communicated with the writer in some way, or communicated with him/her through the black holes.
=Like, how did even Squid Fairy become aware in the first place in the Secret comic?
=Like, why do the characters become aware?
=Yeah, what's up with the black holes? What is their point?
Through them, we got to see the comic story of Flower, what happened, etc.
But again, what's the point of repeating the story? Does the writer want to torture Haru and Dan Oh? Or is the writer oblivious of what's going on in the OFF mode lives of the character, and coincidentally is repeating the same story? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, I get it's a fantasy story, but it's full of plot holes. It has to make some sense. Lots of things are left in the air and will probably be left in the air. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And what's the point of making Ju Da aware at this point in time of the story?
I really thought she would end up with Do Hwa. Ok, I shouldn't know at this point of time in the story, but I was really curious and looked up spoilers.
I really shipped them together, as mostly Do Hwa is really cute and adorable and kind of pitied him + he appears more than Nam Ju so I kind of wished him a happy ending with Ju Da. However, I read that Ju Da still ended up with Nam Ju. I'm like, what's the point of Ju Da giving hope to DO Hwa in the OFF mode?!!!!! They are literally playing with us! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, in general it's not bad, but they ruined it. It really had potential, but it went downhill.
However, I still recommend to watch it if you want.
To be fair, it has an original concept, that at least I never seen before + Haru and Dan Oh, are really cute together <3 Their scenes are really cute, fluffy and make you smile like an idiot, so it's worth watching for that ^_^ And then fast forward parts that annoy you lol.
Also, to be more fair, even with the story going downhill; I still kept going to watch it. I was still curious on what would happen next.
4 episodes left to be watched for tomorrow...........
At least Dan Oh's amnesia ended quite quickly and they are both together again ^_^
Also, the story is ending soon, I wonder what will happen to the characters. Will they end up in the black void?
Also, Squid Fairy is going to have some type of happy ending with his lover from the other comic book, Flower. And apparently, she's aware, but why isn't she telling him anything?
Also, Do Hwa got rejected, but I already knew it, so no surprise at all. He's really cute and adorable ^_^ <3 Also, he's hilarious and does at times act over the top, but it's his charm xD
For Kyung, he finally made something good. He was actually the one who killed Dan Oh in the Flower comic. To be fair, his set-up was like that, but he was really mean, so I kind of disliked him. At least, he changed and helped Haru and Dan Oh to be together again, at least in the OFF mode, he redeemed :)
I liked the ending :D The class reunited with a different story and it is now set in university.
Also, the characters that were nerds are now tough guys and the tough guys are now nerds, that was hilarious :D Also, Nam Ju is not that popular and considered as the worst dresser. He had strawberries on his shirt, a reminder of Ju Da :D
Also, Haru and Dan Oh, reunited and are finally together ^_^
It's disappointing that Squid Fairy, Kyung, Do Hwa and Ju Da did not appear in the new comic. It would be interesting to see them in university.
Conclusion:
Anyway, I will miss it. It was not the best story ever, as it started really good and the story went downhill as it got along. Also, lots of questions left unanswered. However, it was not that bad and on the whole, I did enjoy it ^_^ The acting was great and I loved all the characters :D
currently watching and on episode 24....... (11/12/19)
I love season 2 as well, in my opinion season 2 is more interesting than season 1. The cases were more interesting and here the team became more in sync and work well together.
Some things I didn't like is that Eun Sol was kind of left in the background. In season 1 she had more input but in season 2, she mostly relied on the result of NFS. Ok she helped and gave some input, but it was like she was cast aside and the focus was more on the NFS.
Also, about the character Sally Kim, I like her, but if I compare her to Stella, Stella was more awesome and sassy. It's not that I am against new characters. Actually, there are lots of new characters and Season 2 omitted some of characters that appeared in season 1.
But the character Sally was made really similar to Stella. I would have made a new character, with a different personality, not a similar one to Stella. That really annoyed me when Sally appeared. Anyway, she's not bad, but still I would have made a character with a different personality.
For Doctor K / Jang Chul, I pity him. Yeah, he's one of the villains and probably Doctor K killed his mother, he is doing illegal stuff and made the red stocking cases look like spree killings. But he never killed, at least Jang Chul side never did.
But Jang Chul has a split personality, was abused as a child, has a trauma and is being used and manipulated by the Chief Prosecutor. And to make it worse, Doctor K is now taking over, which means that he will start to kill people. I hope they catch him soon and gets help.
For the chief prosecutor and the assistant prosecutor general, I hope they catch them and get fired for giving information and helping Oh Man Sang and his father's company + being greedy, etc. They are also villains and the ones that mostly need to go to jail.
I continue watching..........
EDIT: On episode 31....... (12/12/19)
I couldn't help but mention it, but Sally conducting an autopsy on a fish and copying Dr Baek while at it, was really hilarious :D She really killed me with laughter. It was a comic relief with all the tension around Jang Chul and Doctor K.
I know he made many wrong decisions, killed people, etc, but I really wish he gets a kind of happy ending or gets some form of help. He really suffered a lot in his childhood and to top it off, it got worse when he met the chief prosecutor, who used Jang Chul for his own gain. He really deserves better.
EDIT 2: On episode 32........near the end (12/12/19)
For Jang Chul / Doctor K, I was relieved that he did not kill his mother. She killed herself. Then, he only killed that guy from the investigation department.
Also, they did not find his body and declared him dead, he's really pitiful. For now, we assume he's dead. It will be no surprise, if at the end of this drama, he's still alive and I have a feeling that it will be like that.
For the prosecutor Do Ji Han, he lived, yay.
For Oh Man Sang, he finally got caught and admitted to everything. This case is finally concluded from season 1. He was a bastard who finally got what he deserved.
For, the chief prosecutor and the assistant prosecutor general, they got away with it for now at least. I got last 10 minutes to watch, let's see how it will end................
EDIT 3: On episode 32........more closer to the end (12/12/19)
For Jang Chul / Doctor K, he also did not kill that guy from the investigation department, I'm more relieved, so he's not a killer. Oh yeah, I forgot, but Jang Chul has another personality, it's his mother. Uhh, that's bad.
For the chief prosecutor, he got a reward, uhh for nothing, but it was really hilarious when he fell :D That was satisfying.
EDIT 4: On episode 32........more and more closer to the end (12/12/19)
The chief prosecutor was the one who actually gave the snake venom to that guy from the investigation department and killed him. Smart move, Doctor K.
Prosecutor Do left and Prosecutor Eun Sol decided to stay, find evidence and catch the chief prosecutor.
The idiot kept the syringe. I would throw it away or burn it or something, not keep it in my office.
And Dr Baek, being the typical him and conducting long autopsies as usual.
EDIT 5: Finished and post credits scenes left.........
I knew it that Prosecutor Do would open a law firm. He asked his ex-investigator to join him.
Ok, I knew it that Doctor K would be alive, but never thought that Prosecutor Do would ask Doctor K to join him. That's was a shocking and hilarious at the same time. They would make an awesome team.
They would probably make another season according to how this ended + the true villains or the true masterminds still haven't got caught yet.
I will look forward to the third season, if they decide to make another one.
Conclusion:
The end! I really enjoyed this drama, it was addicting and I kept watching. I did not like some things (I mentioned them above), but on the whole I liked it better than season 1 and this one had more interesting cases and twists ^_^ Ok, now truly the end :P
Finished! :D I loved it :D And finished in one day :D
It was short and a bit fast paced, but I loved it as it is ^_^
Taiwanese dramas tend to start nice and interesting, but since they drag it on, the story tends to go downhill. It's a shame that I avoid watching taiwanese dramas because of that, as my first drama was Hana Kimi, the taiwanese version, and it always be special for me.
And when I heard about this drama, I was a bit hesitant, but I really wanted to watch it + it looked interesting and = it didn't disappoint me, I loved it! xD
I really hope they produce more dramas like this, where they do not drag on the story but tell what they need to tell and get to the point. To be fair, they improved a lot, but for story wise, they need to improve more.
Or I can be wrong and need to watch more recent taiwanese dramas, as it's really been a long time since I watched taiwanese dramas. This year alone, this is my third taiwanese drama and this is considering 2019 is ending soon and up till now I have watched 70 asian dramas from different countries.
For story........The leads I assume, they ended up together <3 They are so cute together <3
Also, I hope they continue it, since the ending was a cliffhanger, as Angie's hong kong ex-fiancee probably wants revenge.
currently watching........and on episode 9 (7/12/19)
It's really interesting. It's the first time I see a medical drama based on radiology and the focus is mostly on the technicians, those who take pictures of inside the body. And these pictures assist the doctors and help them make the best diagnosis for the patient.
I love this drama :D I love the cast and characters, their teamwork, we get to see some of the characters personal life, the sideline / left in the background romance, the cases of the patients they encounter and how Igarashi always does his best and convince his fellow colleagues and doctors to take more pictures or use other technology to get better pictures.
I mostly love Igarashi's dedication. He wanted to become a technician who takes pictures and assist doctors. Ok, he promised Amakasu form when they were younger.
However, he became a doctor or you can say got his medical license to understand better the pictures he takes. You can say that his knowledge as a doctor, helps him use different medical technology to take the better pictures for each patient that come with different diseases and conditions.
However, it's a shame. He would be an excellent doctor + he doesn't deserve other doctors looking down on him as a technician when he clearly has knowledge about different conditions. Not that the other technicians need to be looked down upon either. They are excellent in their jobs and really take good pictures.
Even Igarashi himself does not know everything and strives to learn more. For example, he did not know about the IVR process and he asked one of the technicians that specialises on it or is mostly interested in it + he researched about it.
Anyway, he is happy doing what he likes, and he is excellent at it.
I'll continue watching..............
EDIT: Finished! (9/12/19)
I loved it! :D It's a shame he had to leave, but they are all waiting for him to come back + they kept his place :D
I will definitely watch season 2 if they decide to make it ^_^
currently watching.....and on episode 12 (26/11/19)
I decided to watch this with low expectations and I fell in love with it ^_^
Ok, the story isn't original or something out of the ordinary. But it is hilarious and refreshing.
I love the characters. Ok, some of them are over the top or exaggerated, but they are all essential to the story.
I love the badass female lead who doesn't let others do what they want. However, she is still vulnerable, feels stress, pressure, loves her father despite the ongoing war with her step-mother and step-sister. And her words are harsh, and she may seem arrogant and spoilt and always wants her way, but she is talented and good at her job, she is just, kind, and helps when needed.
Also, I love the lead couple, they are awesome and have good chemistry. They are so cute together <3 It's a shame she thinks he is gay. However, I know that she likes him, but she hasn't realized it yet or she is so focused and thinks that he is gay, that she is ignoring her feelings for Yut. They already had a kiss scene, but she was drunk and thought, it was a dream. I want an official one soon! <3
Also, good acting from all the cast :D
Also, a good story. I like the office plot where it revolves around the productions of movies. Ok, they do not get into lots of details, but we are shown some stuff like the staff involved, the contacts they need to do, how they get the actors, how they get investment, etc.
Also, we get to see the dark side of the entertainment. Like for example, an actress, Alida gave sexual favours to the investor, to get the female lead role in the Bad Guy project movie.
We get to see the drama around Rampa's family, her father, her step-mother, her step-sister and her aunt. Also, we get to see Frank's revenge when he opened his own company, trying to ruining them and now he teams up with Rampa's step-mother to do it.
Also, there is a mystery of who actually put Yut next to Rampa. Yut got close to Rampa in the first place and became her secretary, because of the debt he had to pay (well his father gambles). But now, Yut fell in love with her and the mystery person is threatening Yut to continue to spy on Rampa.
I do not know who this person is. However, at first I thought it was Frank, but he does bad things to Rampa and they usually show when he does.
Then, I thought it was Rampa's step-mother, but I don't think she would think of putting a spy next to Rampa. She may, but I do not think she is that intelligent.
I don't know why, but I think it can be the director. He kind of looks suspicious, he kind of has a mystery vibe. I don't know, I may be wrong. I think it's someone we definitely would not think of, or someone who wants to get revenge on Rampa. She does do things that tick people of or she may have hurt someone related to this mystery person.
But, it is strange that the director did not leave with Frank. After all, I do admit that Rampa is kind of hard to work with, and she can be too demanding.
So, I find it strange that he decided to continue to work under her. However, Rampa does appreciate his work, takes his suggestions, etc. So I may be wrong.
It could be that he thought that if the other directors left with Frank, he would be the top choice as a director instead of them, in the Thai film company of Rampa. Since the four directors that left with Frank, were considered to be the best directors according to Rampa anyway.
I continue watching.......... ^_^
EDIT: On episode 15...... (28/11/19)
Ok, I was totally wrong and totally did not expect that her aunt was the mystery person. I was so shocked and surprised! 0_0
The moment that she disappeared and Rampa asked Yut to find her. I realised that the bob hairstyle was hers! And I still wasn't sure yet, and got the confirmation from the surprised face of Yut. It was an awesome plot twist.
I knew it would be a person who we wouldn't think of and I suspected everyone, expect for her aunt. I got totally deceived, she totally acted on Rampa's side, nice, kind, helpful, etc. She acted as a sheep but was actually a wolf in sheep's clothing.
I cannot imagine Rampa's reaction. She would be totally devastated that her aunt wanted to harm her father, her and their company.
Also, double hurt, when Rampa finds out that Yut actually got close to her and became her secretary, because her aunt hired him to spy on her and he did it for money as well. This would break her >__<
Rampa already has trust issues, which I don't blame her, as in her position, she needs to be cautious.
But, two persons she really trusted the most, lied to her and got close to her with bad intentions. Ok, Yut now really loved her and cares for her, but his intention in the first place was to hurt her, so it's up to Rampa to forgive him for it.
Let's see what will happen..........
EDIT 2: Finished! (30/11/19)
Rampa's reaction was kind of what I expected. She hurt Yut every way possible, like ignoring him, slapping him, shouting and cursing at him, etc and she kept at it for like 6 months. I'm glad that they showed it like this.
I think I would be disappointed if Rampa forgave him easily, even after he took the bullet for her. I would be like, ''Uhh, so everything is ok and forgotten, even if this happened, etc.'' And this is considering Rampa's character, it would definitely not be her style.
However, I knew that deep down she still loves him and she still went after him, after he stopped coming to her. Yeah, it took her like 2 months to go after him, but ok. Anyway, after hurting each other and getting revenge, they finally ended up together ^_^ I loved their kisses and their chemistry, they were so cute <3
Also, for the second couple, for Simon and Da. I wish they more screen time as a couple. I did ship them in the beginning, but Simon was obsessed with Rampa. While, Da was obsessed with Simon as a fan. Even though, Da was nice to Simon, took care of him, etc, Simon ignored her.
It wasn't until like the last 3 episodes left, that Da got the message that Simon doesn't notice her in any way, that she showed her true character. And Simon was shocked and he started to notice her, follow her around and eventually fell in love with her. It was really hilarious each time he did a nice gesture, and Da was like, 'yeah thanks' and shrugs it off, and he's like 'Oh my God' each time. Well, she was hiding her real feelings as she obviously still loved him. Anyway, she succeeded in getting Simon.
For the villains of the story, Rampa's aunt and Frank got what they deserved. Rampa forgave her aunt.
And also, you can say that she finally accepted her step-mother and step-sister. Ok, not 100%, but at the celebration party of the success of Bad Guy movie, you can say that they came to some terms.
To conclude, I liked the story in general, the acting, the cast and the characters. Ok, it is nothing out of the ordinary, or new, but I really enjoyed watching it.
Ok, they were times I took a break from it and stopped watching it. Also, I do admit that the last 2 episodes were kind of draggy, but I watched it all with no fast forwarding. Worth a watch :)
The leads are really cute, adorable and sweet <3 <3 I really love their interactions and their chemistry ^_^
However, the story and the plot is lacking and I am finding it boring.
The story did start interesting, with the main actor needing the main actress to sleep next to him, for him to be able to sleep and prepare for an important event related to piano. However, that plot did not take long and deviated from it completely. And lots of obstacles and annoying people in the way.
I am mostly fast forwarding scenes that I don't like or useless or draggy.
But one thing I find original in this drama and never seen it before are Mido's parents. Like her mother and father are really huge fans of Song Xi. Especially her mother is really obsessed with him, to the point that she remembers his birthday but forgets her own daughter's birthday. And also remembers to attend Song Xi's events.
At first, I thought that he is her child from someone else and she did not raise him. As Mido's mother kepts an album with his pictures and called him her child.
But then since the leads are so cute together, I assumed that he's not her real child, but Mido's mother is a huge fan. And later on, it was reveled that she is a fan.
The hilarious thing is that Mido found out in the beginning that Song Xi lives next to them and Mido did not know who he was, while her parents are his biggest fans and took them till episode 18 to find out. That part was really hilarious.
I'm still curious why Mido's mother is so obsessed with piano, music, etc and forces her daughter to get into music when Mido does not have talent for it. Maybe it will get revealed later on.
Anyway, on the whole, this drama is not bad. It's nothing special either. But, it is a good to watch it when you do not know what to watch, or want to watch something light, cute and fluffy.
EDIT: Finished!
It was a cute and light drama :) I love the main leads, they were so adorable and loved their kiss scenes <3 And a happy ending :)
As I said above, the plot and story were lacking, lots of questions were left unanswered and I did fast forwarding some scenes. However, it's not bad overall, a good drama to pass time and want to watch something light and sweet :)
If I compare it to Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat, it's not as amazing as Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat. I loved Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat more.
However, this lakorn is interesting on its own as well. It was interesting that I learned more about some more historical events that happened in Thailand. Also, I think it was the first time I saw a lakorn with lots of battles in it.
Moreover, I don't remember the dates but it's definitely more recent than Bpoop Phaeh Saniwaat as some Inwa soldiers or commanders and even some thai people from Adoyaha have guns. I also learned lots lof things like that 'Thai' means free, I did not know that. Also, like a game called Kallabot.
Also, I liked the plot that revolved around the palace and the nobles, ok it wasn't the best ever, but I liked it. You get to see the dark side of the palace, the nobles, their power, corruption, the things they do, their greed, how they look down on poor people, commoners and the slaves, people who are patriotic and those who aren't, how they live, their culture, their way of life, etc. Anyway, it's the usual around historical dramas, especially when the palace in involved.
Also, I loved the main leads, they are cute together <3 Also, their interactions and how they tease each other is so adorable <3 The downside is that we barely see any romance, even up till now they are not officially together yet. But they definitely love each other. However, the point of this drama is not the romance but not the historical events that happened to Thailand in the past.
Moreover, I liked the parts of the main lead disguised as an Eunuch. It was the first time I saw the focus on Eunuchs in the palace, the work they do, etc and in this case they were foreigners, they were Turkish. It was different than usual, so for me it was interesting. I never saw a historical drama like this lakorn. As like in Korean and Chinese historical dramas, the Eunuchs are left in the background and were never foreigners.
For me, this lakorn isn't the best ever. Many times I put this lakorn on a short hold, as sometimes it annoyed me or many things were happening, people who did not deserve it died, etc and so I watched something else to take a break from it.
However, I still watched it all, with no fast forwarding, as I did not want to miss anything. But, it would have been better if it was shorter, there were many times in the story that were extra plots, especially in the palace parts. Also, it had many hilarious moments, sad and painful moments.
Anyway, I loved all the cast, they were all great actors. Also, I loved all the characters, they were important to the story :) And it took me some time to watch it, but I'm glad I did ^_^
Last 2 episodes left..........
EDIT: Finished!
The thai managed to take back their home in 7 months, that's really impressive. The new King is really good. I'm happy that they got their home back :)
Also, the main leads got together and got married :D Their wedding night was so hilarious :D And they are also so cute and adorable together ^_^
It is a sort of happy ending. It's sad that the thai people that were stolen away from their home and taken to another country, could not return back to their home. Also, the thai had to continue fighting for their country and continuous wars. However, there were many beneficial things as well. However, on a happier note, the traitors got what they deserved, mostly died and the concubine turned crazy.
Anyway, I liked the lakorn :) It's worth a watch ^_^
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For her sister's side, Yoko's affair, it's the typical and common thing we see nowadays.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Also, I liked the acting, the characters, the OST, the relationship between the sisters (Shouko and Yoko), the friendship between Shouko and Masako (she's an awesome friend) and the main couple (Shouko and Jyo) were cute together.
The end.
currently watching...........and on episode 28 (16/12/19)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
However, it's a shame, but as the story went along, it went downhill.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Uhh!!! and lots of questions that I have on this story, will probably be left unanswered.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Other questions like: (some of them taken from Kamiali's review and agree with them)
=Why do shadows exist in the first place?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, I get it's a fantasy story, but it's full of plot holes. It has to make some sense. Lots of things are left in the air and will probably be left in the air.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And what's the point of making Ju Da aware at this point in time of the story?
I really thought she would end up with Do Hwa. Ok, I shouldn't know at this point of time in the story, but I was really curious and looked up spoilers.
I really shipped them together, as mostly Do Hwa is really cute and adorable and kind of pitied him + he appears more than Nam Ju so I kind of wished him a happy ending with Ju Da. However, I read that Ju Da still ended up with Nam Ju. I'm like, what's the point of Ju Da giving hope to DO Hwa in the OFF mode?!!!!! They are literally playing with us!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, in general it's not bad, but they ruined it.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT: On ep 31..... (17/12/2019)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EDIT 2: Finished! (17/12/2019)
The end.
currently watching and on episode 24.......
I watched it from dailymotion, see the link below:

Can I find it in English subs please? Thank you ^_^ Great article btw :D
currently watching.......and on ep 18
However, it's not bad overall, a good drama to pass time and want to watch something light and sweet :)
currently watching and on ep 15.......
