Definitely is. No bad intentions on her part but her ambitions and her background play a huge role in her choices. He is the big mystery to me and it is from his side that the story needs to unfold

I agree ‘Agave’ is the best depiction of her. And he is very drawn to her and wants her. With her she thinks it s an opportunity to get ahead in life and career but definitely loves him deeper than she realizes. This is the truth she probably needs to come to terms with , With him- we don’t know anything yet - a big mystery .

Everyone wants to protect themselves. She is not there with any good intentions either . She forged her background . It can’t get worse than that . They are both playing a game here

If he is spying on every single move of hers then he surely knows everything . May have done a thorough background check on her too

Yes we don’t know what his game is yet! They are definitely attracted to each other . But he is definitely ignoring her deception even though he knows . Which is interesting . I do love William Chan!

Well I think we stereotype rich people too much . Because only their bad side is usually portrayed in all these dramas. But human nature does not see any class . But in the context of this drama we do have to admit that the FO is an opportunist and liar. And the ML’s family sure is is controlling. Neither of them are better than the other but lying your way into a rich family can never end well! Or into anything for that matter . I mean she forged her entire background

Yeah they will through a painful breakup when everything comes to a head and then undergo a transformation. This is definitely for a very mature audience. Not a teen romance. It does look like he knows that she has made up stuff and is playing along. You can see that in ep 2. But then is he oblivious to the way his mom treats her or is he ok with that too? They do seem to love each other though

But the mom!!!! Sigh what can I say. and how can the FL tolerate this ? But I guess she has bigger fish to fry

I know that people think that rich families should be ready to accept people without looking at their status but if those people turn out to be opportunists or liars then they have a lot to lose .

I like the fact that both ML and FL are red flags for a change. Him spying on her is wrong but her lying about everything is also awful. Want to see where this relationship is going. Very interesting dynamic

Keep watching - she is such a great actress and her character arc is amazing

I am rewatching this drama and I am realizing how well Fu Ling’s character was written and the actress portraying it was absolutely amazing! One of the few dramas with very strong lead and second lead couples and both of them have been done justice without one overtaking the other . Really a well done drama !

I tried it - it was a bit too heavy for me . Will be a slow watch

Completed my rewatch! Definitely one of my favorite dramas of the year. Now I am going to wait eagerly for Arthur Chen’s next drama. Definitely an amazing actor ! And I will look forward to the FL too- she definitely has a lot of potential!

I felt the same about her modern day outfit. It was really disheveled . Y s she got out of the hospital but no one goes to a business meeting like that . They always do this to the FL in madden dramas . Like they have to look ragged and unkempt . I don’t get the charm of that
