Now this has me wondering. Is Consort Shu as great as she appears to be then? Can she be oblivious and did she keep PeiYi so close for a reason?

I guess an emperor should always look after his interests first before giving someone that much freedom to do what they want. He probably knows who is behind it and is reluctant to act because of some of the other damages it’s can bring to his rule. We don’t know much about the antagonist except that he is powerful. We don’t know how he is related to the Prince of Duan or the emperor. I want more background here

One thing you do notice is how much he respects her. It’s so sweet !

Yes I understand now. They are both playing this game of being against each other as far as invstigating the massacre is concerned. They are trying to lure out the perpetrators by playing this game .

Yes I really loved the whole sequence . That conversation with his mom and then his confession to her. Very well done

Bai Lu looks gorgeous in that scene they receive the marriage decree. These two make a good pair . Wonderful chemistry!

lol I am giving it one last rewatch before stopping, but that does not mean that I will not go back to it again after some time . This one really hits all the right spots for me

What a general sweeping statement about a really good drama. What can I say. I guess it’s not your cup of tea. It’s fine . I for one thoroughly enjoyed this one and it’s on my rewatch list .

It is a very good drama ! So deep. Give it a chance. You will not find another one like it .
