For her self protection and survival are the only 2 things that are important . She is also filled with hate just like her mother . Yes the ML is flawed, but she is also flawed. She has this attitude that everyone should always do right by her but I don’t think she ever consider’s things from other peoples POV.

Yeah I am puzzled by this turn of events too . How could she suddenly turn against him and accuse him of being Pei Dafu’s son. Yes i was thinking that too. I felt like he knew everything Yunxi and Hanyan were plotting. That is why he was trying to manipulate her against Yunxi. He was literally trying to create that distance and the FL was falling for it big time .

Yeah it is a little frustrating but given the FL’s upbringing and how she lacks trust it is not that far fetched . But my point is that he has done enough for her to trust him. She has been far more ruthless to him than he has .
