I don’t know what you are talking about - maybe we were not watching the same show. But their relationship was way more healthier than a lot of the other dramas. The ML actually became a better person because of the FL and the FL found herself through him. A relationship is never black or white - it is always how good outweighs the bad . In this case they truly helped each other and grew through their relationship. Their relationship was very real.

I am tired of the FL blowing hot and cold all the time. All she needs to do is have an open conversation with the ML to clear things. And yes she is coddled, spoilt and extremely fickle ugh! I am all for strong and independent women but in this drama both the FL and SFL are too full of themselves and really stuck up. The FL got ahead in her job through nepotism period- otherwise she would not have lasted anywhere. I also felt that she really did not deserve the ML. Janice Wu is a fantastic actress.

The 2nd male is a manipulative lying AH and thinks he owns the FL. And that other friend of theirs - he tells the 2nd ML everything the FL confides in him. That friendship was just ridiculous

She is beautiful but she needs to put on some weight - just looking at her neck you know that she is at an unhealthy weight

You are right - this actress is so bland. What is wrong with her? She just recites the dialogues- no soul there

Yes I also think the Ml is not that much older than the FL. Max 10 yrs I think - which really is not so bad

I loved this drama. The actors and the story was so good!

I loved this drama . The leads brought out those characters beautifully. They both had issues that they had to overcome

She acts like an abused person - walking on eggshells, not confident with her decisions, extremely insecure. She is paralyzed by fear and to add to that she is an orphan who feels like she owes that family

They need to redeem the character in some way - otherwise the ML starts looking like a complete loser. The problem is he does not even try - ok his priority is not the company- then why hang on to it for the new drug. He can go make his opportunity elsewhere

Respecting your parents/brother and tolerating family for little things is fine is all fine but what we are talking about here is bodily harm, rape etc. why should anyone tolerate those things from family. That seems to be a little ridiculous. And also as a son he is oblivious to his mom’s evil side. And he is oblivious to everything that goes on in the company-these things are a little unrealistic.

That is what the writers need to figure out. I am expressing my opinion here just like everyone else. And so far I don’t like how they have written the ML character. He honestly comes across as a little entitled. I hope you can respect my opinion just like you have others. I can’t praise a character or like a story just for the sake of it

Fighting does not have to be physical but he will have to do something more if he wants be successful in making that drug. Nothing gets offers on a platter. In general if someone wants something sometimes they have to fight the family also for it. He has a brain. Yeah he is trying to keep the peace but no one seems to care .

Lol someone took it personally. Well you can be his girlfriend then since you feel sorry for him. I am happily attached anyway. Don’t need to lash out at me. If you can respect my opinion then it’s fine but you do not need to be rude. I stand by my opinion

No the ML is too soft and yes we have to say dumb because even the way he is going about getting that project is completely stupid. Plus he got beaten and his girlfriend got assaulted twice and almost raped because of his brother and he decided to let it go. He is oblivious to his mom’s wrongdoings. She almost drowned his girlfriend. If I were the FL I would dump this guy because he has no spine

The ML is an idiot. He is too soft and will get taken advantage of. He cannot figure out anything and the FL is going to suffer because of this.
Update : yep the ML is just useless- he has no fighting spirit. I may take a break from this drama because it is trining and I am frustrated

Well toxic , manipulative parents can do that . It was just sad to watch. They were still too young to handle something like that. ZY would never have gone against her parents for him like she did later.

Yeah what he tells the mom in the end - that one sentence said it all. Li Xun never showed any animosity or disrespect towards her. They really pushed him to a corner too in ep. 21 was that? - they tried to control him too

Ren Di was such a great character. But I doubt that Zhu Yun would have married the painter even if Li Xun did not exist in her life anymore. She was only using him as a shield against her controlling mom. But yes if she would have married the painter she would have had the same controlled incubator her parents kept her in. Her mom did not nurture her - she controlled her and wanted her to be a puppet. It was that freedom and identity that she could have with Li Xun that drew her to him- he made her see her true self. That was also the point of the show
