The woman is not a doormat - she just gave too much in the beginning because she was very young and had no experience . Now in the present she is more mature . The guy is not that bad either . This is a very realistic mature drama. I like it so much so far

Yes there’s were so many things that were wrong with the way the first marriage happened. The female could have confessed and waited rather than get married hastily and give up everything when he was still recovering from his breakup

And it also shows that LX being in prison did not matter- he rose up again in the most honest way. And that’s the beauty of it- for an extraordinary person like him with that kind of confidence these setbacks meant nothing. We see people like that around us too

Yes the revenge arc was beautiful- no shortcuts and Gao needed to see that - the most memorable dialog between Gao and Li Xun is when he takes the card to interview at that gaming company- Gao laughs at LX and Li Xun says Gao has always been short sighted ! And he proves that point

One thing I realized is that Gao had extremely low self esteem. That’s why whenever LX criticized him he thought LX was put to get him. He also thought the whole world was against him when everyone thought that LX was a genius. A more confident person would have been like who cares and just did their own stuff . That is what Zhu Yun did - she calls herself a follower but not true - she rather challenges herself to get better and at the same time walks forward with LX. It’s an absolutely amazing lesson

Actually I think they were too hasty when they got married. She was young and immature. He is definitely older than her and had not gotten over his ex yet. That’s why they ex tells the female that he is using her as a substitute .it was a very unequal relationship - each wanted something different. In the present they are still fighting about the past but the male’s EQ is really low - that’s why his first girlfriend left him.

There is a reason he takes away those shares though- at that point he is really scared the FZJ will do something to her and thinks she is better off with her parents rather than with him . And what she has for the male is not obsession - I don’t agree with that negative term. I always feel the way her parents treated her was way worse. I actually like the fact that ZY gave their relationship a second chance .
