I am on ep 38 and I am very divided on LanXiang’s character. Feminism aside, there is an apathy about her in general. At this point I want her to actually leave the Lin family and live the life of a monk helping others. If she wants to reject married life and Lin Jin Qi, then why is she staying in this family and using the power and respect that family has to save women? Her character is very confusing .

That has been my point throughout. I am not denying that the ML is flawed but he truly keeps trying to work on the relationship. She is very transactional with him. That is why she is the bigger red flag. He is more giving in spite of being immature, sometimes unreasonable
and petty. There were so many things in his actions that showed how he cared more. He did not control her. Infact he adapted to whatever she did and let her do it. The dog was a big tell- he never wanted the dog- he was a clean freak and not the kind who would take care of an animal but for her he brought the dog into the house and took care of him . He was very patient with her given his personality. But she never accepted him or their relationship till the end
