This rating is off. I'm not saying it's a masterpiece but it's clearly one of the good one this year. I especially like the 2 episodes/scam. Anyway, is there an ongoing "scandal" around this drama to "justify" this low rating ? Or it's just plain hate because they have nothing else to do ?
Skimming through the whole episode to watch 3 minutes of the whole episode is a YOU problem. Why does the whole…
I also fail to see how people are so attached to their story. Don't get me wrong I like them but their story isn't very original. It's the same old story CEO/Secretary office romance with a BL twist and a hint of Omegaverse. And they had the same scene over & over again: Shen Wen Lang saying he hates Omega at Gao Tu face while he feel guilty that he is one.
At moment... any triangle or sml obsessed for FL?Romance Main couple is good? Thanks
Main couple is good. And yeah, love triangle with a obsessive SML. SFL is also here but she is more a plot device than an actual character as she have very few screen time.
Personally, I liked the past life flash back era. Sure it took quite a lot of screen time but it really shown the despair of this whole mess. That being said, tbh I think author is quite sadistic with his characters. This whole setup making ML killing FL again & again to then force FL to kill ML. I don't believe it can come up from a healthy mind. Regardless, I'm hook and really want to see how they will come up with a satisfying ending (they really deserve it...)
My guess is that it was his "way" to make him leave the apartment ? But honestly ? It's probably "fan…
Oh I agree. But like I said, it wasn't really about the story itself. It's clearly a "forced" NC scene and they used whatever pretext to make it happen. I don't know if it make this worse or not. ^^'
I’m a bit lost. In episode 2, Dong Min went to bed and suddenly the ghost started kissing him and rubbing against…
My guess is that it was his "way" to make him leave the apartment ? But honestly ? It's probably "fan service" than an actual decision to make the story better.
And having seen episode 4, those NC scenes are definitely a tool to grab the viewer attention.
Ep. 4: Didn't expect that scene to be THIS explicit.
Anyway, it's really short so my expectation where low but so far the story is interesting & make sense (with some leeway). The subtitle are also good (they are often subpar in really low budget one). The acting is very young, they seems more lie to recite line than actually acting BUT it isn't that catastrophic. I've seen worse (but I'm not sure if it's really a compliment :P)
So overall, I'm gladly surprised and I can recommend it based on the first 4 episodes. I'm eager to see the last two even if I'm pretty sure how it will end.
wait that ending tho so like didn't the yiheon basically propose to jiyoung to marry him with that ring? i remember…
I don't know about that. The book that lead FL to the past was written by the King himself like we saw. What it mean it that this "go back to the past" has already happen and reflected in the future (cf. the book). Basically, it's a loop and everything is already written like... The King being branded as a Tyrant and dethroned. It will happen and the preview show this I think.
She isn't "changing" the past, she basically writing it like it was suppose to if it follow the usual rule of time travel but in the end, writer can come up with anything they want but I don't think him becoming a tyrant will change. Or at least, the writing history of him becoming a tyrant as we know, the history is written by the victorious.
Can we talk about the enemy leader walking in & out like it wouldn't be possible for him to be captured or even be killed tbh ? I know they are "good guys" and it wouldn't be "honorable" but... Really ? He just massacre a whole village ! It isn't the time to be morally "right". :P
It was just a odd scene for me. Especially when they said "He only came with one guard". He even ask for it!
Is 30+ really that OLD?The way some of you refer to Tojo (including Tojo himself) you would think he was a grandpa…
It isn't really 30+, it's the age of 40. By then, everything "should" be settle. Career, Relationship, Family if by then it isn't, you could be considered "late" (it's even worse for women).
But yeah, it's just a mind set cultivated by many past generation and doesn't actually mean much. But Tojo is deeply insecure with low self esteem & anxieties regarding how people see him and could judge him for anything he likes - this man just doesn't want to stick out & it's quite the common anxiety in Asian societies as they are far more homogeneous than Western countries.
Anyway, what I'm saying the main issue is how Tojo view himself but Japanese standard aggravated the problem.

I'm clearly not a fan of sad endings. I'm unfortunately not built to appreciate them BUT this one gently prepared us for that and didn't ambush me with overly happy moment just to wreck me in the last moment. No, in the later episodes, you already feel that it will not end well for both of them. They do not give us unnecessary hope that they will survive this while still made clear that they really do love each other... It was just not meant to be in this life.
Instead, they give us a beautiful bittersweet ending. All debts have been paid and now, we can easily imagine them in their clean next life. :)
I love BL. I love Historical C-Drama. So this being those two, I could only love it. While this is on the lower budget side, it's still one of very good quality. Those two "rookie" young actor where fantastic here as it really need to pull off all those emotional scene if they wanted to have an impact. And they nailed it.
Answer about Thai fans: They've been boycotting the show, because they hate that theproducers changed things from…
Thank for the input. I had heard some fan of the OG work had issue with the cast (mainly Ping) but didn't know about the whole copyright situationship. I can understand the frustration from the author but let's be real here: the cast itself wasn't part of it. He (She ?) can 100% blame his publisher but after that...
But he probably wouldn't as it's them that maintain his income. And he probably cannot do much to Change2561 so targeting the cast is easier ? Really not fan of bullying the "weak" to avoid the strong mentality here.

So no it's the same. Iqyi is shorter because they don't have those "next break" scene at the end of each part.

As for the ending, in the spoiler below:

Anyway I still love the show & Prince's antic. :)
