So far it's just one guy performing dark art & ML gain power with it (think super soldier - strength, speed, enhanced senses). No cultivation story or "immortal" so far and I don't think it will.

Personally I wasn't that surprised as in any night bedroom scene, they sleep with the light on in most C-Drama or K-Drama. Being very sensitive to light it really doesn't make any sense to me. They just doesn't like when the scene isn't visible.

But yeah, SWL/GT scene doesn't make sense and it's just badly written/directed/edited.

It isn't rape, it's drugged sex as no one here were completely sane - it's how Omegaverse work. Ironically, it's GT who involuntary drug SWL to force him to have sex - by your logic GT raped SWL. Basically, no one had consent here.

To be more precise, it's a heat/rut system. Imagine your neighborhood dogs mating. No real will, just basic instinct and of course, no consent. Anyway, I understand how it can be uncomfortable and realistically, it's just a setup to "force" sex scene without feeling in many Omegaverse.

It remind me a lot of many vertical C-Drama that have this setup: ML or FL (or both) get drugged and NEED to have sex (apparently they can die ? Don't ask me what kind of drug it is :P). Doesn't make sense but it's just used as a tool to have a sexy scene right off the bat and "force" a relationship between the leads.

It's Omegaverse for you. The way they "explain" those behavior are:

- Pheromone are like sex drugs. Especially during Heat/Rut as they cannot control them.
- Once infected by them, they react with instinct (like animal do) making hard/impossible to say no for both of them. Like animal reproduce on instinct and not desire.

So here we have HY in rut losing control infecting SSY making him "compliant". For the second couple, if you use modern logic, it would be GT "raping" SWL as he used his heat to "force" SWL (as to why he is pissed in this "filthy omega").

As far as we know, the big villain in here is probably the entity in the "red stone". Book demon seems to be linked to him (he called him "War treaty demon") so it will probably become a traitor or being possessed by the big bad guy.

Wdym ? They all can see them. It's just they conceal themselves or hide in their realm. Like when the barrier was down and human went to their realm they all saw how strange they were.

For the confession & them being officially together, J-Drama sometime drag this to the final episode.

I really like it so far especially how Tian Xi Wei portrayed cat-like behavior into her acting. The way she move, she nap or gently tilt her head. I also love some of the CGI. This little black snake is so freaking cute. I just hope he is just a unruly/trickster kind of character and not a villain. And don't kill him please. Y_Y

Yeah again, I blame more bad directing/acting than the situation itself. It does make sense, it was just badly portrayed.

Yes a bit over-the-top but it wasn't all nonsense.

- Zefang panicked because it sensed something - he clenched his heart. With body swapping, mysterious red string, the medium kid & reincarnation, a bit of misleading precognition isn't that hard to believe. :P

- For the tracking, I personally don't know how it work but I heard story about cheating boyfriend/husband being caught because of airpod or something similar. I guess they added this because they were easily lost ? I really don't know. ^^'

- You can bleed from a rope if you pull hard enough for a long time regardless of the pain. It's more common to have burn than literally open wound but yeah again, it was a bit over-the-top here.

I'm not claustrophobic but I did suffer from severe panic attacks. Hyperventilation, high heart beat, cold sweat & muscular pain. When I had them, peoples did freaking out because it was almost like I was dying. Anyway, what show here was more mild but it's probably bad directing/acting than anything as like I said, if he truly had a panic attack, it's impressive to watch - even if it isn't deadly unless you have others underlying illness.

Don't know what weird stuff they smoke during the writing of the time skip to 2024 but it wasn't good. They twisted a character so much just to add a really badly written plot twist. It would have made more sense to add the fantasy tag & demonic possession than... that.

As for the last few minutes, I was already prepared so I didn't mind - I just ignore it as I know it's just censorship. They at least tried to work with it and give us something satisfying (some doesn't even bother to do that).

Anyway, 8.5/10 post time skip -> 6.5/10 after that. As it was just the last few episodes, I don't really want to punish an overall good drama so I settled with a 8/10 but it really left a bad aftertaste...

You sound like a 14y old edgy girl. She wasn't at risk of being killed at this point. Her whole character writings is about her safety (and her loved one). All she tried was to defuse the situation - by trying to bargain the life of the girl & asking her "friend" to help them.

Sure it didn't work but what was smart about killing the girl at this point ? Like I said her priority was to save ML not to become some sort of murder hobo. It's what I would call stupidity.

I mean, she is a modern girl and I don't know you but I hope I wouldn't kill someone that easily. Would I slap her & curse her ? Hell yeah but killing is a step I hope I would never dare to cross.

Anyway, her priority wasn't that at all, she just wanted to leave right now as everyone tried to kill her husband - she just wanted to save him and even asked to use the "evil princess" as leverage. For me, knowing the way this character was written it make perfect sense.

That being said, I don't know what her "unknown frustration" is foreshadowing but I wonder if she is affected by SJ's negative emotion (as they are soul bound) and would at some point cross this line (& probably break her in the process).

Yes like some have already said, it's clearly their weakest works. The blur between reality and the movie wasn't always obvious. It was intended I understand that but it made the whole thing needlessly messy.

Another thing that I disliked, it's a story about two guy cheating on their partner (the long haired guy is even married with potential kids - as he did said he need to return to his family but it's maybe a thing lost in translation).

They even tried to paint the "girlfriend" as the bad guy because she wouldn't allow him to follow his dream and saying undertone homophobic line like "You can't give him, a future". But for me, the moment they cheated, they are in the wrong. I'm really black & white on this matter.

It's a bit unclear but apparently he was guilty of something at least, not sure if he was the guy that sabotaged the team in the competition but at least he was actively helping them afterward (with holding the signal reflector/amplifier). I'm saying this because it said that he was guilty but as he stopped is wrongdoing he wouldn't be punish. His aunt in another hand take 1y of prison & get fired.

Zero experience doesn't mean being completely clueless about thing. I mean like in the last episode Kanade being shy because Mashiro is shirtless was just too much.

Seriously, the story is good and the characters themselves are good but I hope this trend of leads being completely innocent like they are literally child would stop at some point.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking NC scene or french kiss. Just adult being regular adult with adult behavior. If they really want character this innocent, like the previous poster said, just do a story about high schooler.

I'm not sure about that as the actor Tian Xu Ning got cancelled in a lot of variety show he have filmed (pixelated or deleted) + his next project got downgraded to a "special guest". Regardless if it was true or not, it did directly impact him for example.

Loved the Drama till the end. But they didn't have to ruin CZ character. Everyone is against him in the end & he lost everything. Don't get me wrong, it was a scumbag move to try to force the marriage with FL but it was all the Emperor doing. And what did the Emperor did in the end ? Blame all on CZ like it was never part of it. The old minister was right, he is just a dumb puppet. :P

Anyway, except some part that were quite weaker than the rest, ML & FL carried the show so hard so it's still a 9/10 for me (10/10 if the writing wasn't this lazy about their "break up" era and CZ character).
