I watched 6 episodes in the row, without skipping , Im exhausted 🤣🤣 but for me drama is perfect, and I'm…
You should read the novel, the drama is amazing but it's toned down a lot and slightly changed. You won't understand the amount of abuse and suffering male lead went through without reading the novel.
I’m pretty happy to see the crucial scenes to the plot line, however, I feel TTJ is not cold enough! The book…
Yeah that's the only complaint I have so far from the trailer, in the novel there were at each other's throat constantly, they both would have killed each other without hesitation in the early half if they could.
This posters are my favorite xianxia poster ever. They look like they flew straight out of the dunhuang murals.…
Im surprised a lot of people know about Dunhuang murals, even in china it hasn't been long since Dunguang got a revival and flying apsaras became a popular dance genre.
Did anyone notice how much Dunhuang (which in itself is a mix of Buddhism and cultures from the Silk Road) art…
Yep yep lmao, IM OBSESSED with flying Apsaras im so happy they went back to classic chinese mythology aesthetics instead of borrowed elements from western fantasy.
Agree with the commenter below, if there is a drawback to this show it’s the lack of Wuxin. It’s a great show…
Wuxin is just too powerful and too smart to be his personal guardian, a lot of plot points would be easily resolved if Xiao Se has Wuxin by his side all the time.
If you want the same level of loveable and very well developed characters around a smart MC, with better written political intrigue but less well choreographed fight scenes, watch: Sword Snow Stride.
I'd say Sword Snow Stride has a more coherent plot but Blood of Youth has much better fight scenes. I'd give Blood of Youth (8/10) and SSS (8.5/10) on IMDB scale(9/10 on this scale would be close to perfect). If the director and writers of the two series come together to make a drama, it'll be a masterpiece.
If you want a more romance-centric series, watch Who rules the World, I give it (6.5/10) however.
Some of the things ML went through, I would not wish it on my worst enemy.
There's constant angst, dread, eternal regret and misunderstandings with no second chance to make amends.
Sit tight and take a deep breath if you plan to follow this series.
Youku is a smaller company compared to IQIYI and tencent wetv so it's good to support them.

It's getting a revival in china and getting more and more popular

Imagine the most tragic Xianxia romance you've previously seen and at least double the angst.
