Absolutely loving the first 8 episodes but I got to say, the Child actor...can't act.
I've seen dramas with a number of child actors, no one holds even a candle to that kid from Joy of life and Sword Snow Stride. That kid, Hao Lin Han I think, was born a prodigy in acting.
This and Sword Snow Strides are already my top dramas of 2022. I like the supporting cast and humour in SSS better…
Nah, disagree. SSS has very intricate and intelligently written plot and characterization that goes beyond ML and FL. The only downside was CGI-heavy fight scenes.
But as they say, different folks enjoy different things. SSS demoting romance to very minor subplot might not appeal to certain demographics but for me that's what makes it particularly enjoyable. If you didn't like SSS, you might not have liked Joy of Life, which was highly praised on MDL.
The reason I'm enjoy WRtW despite the romance is intelligent plot, cunning male lead and strong FL who can stand on par with the males. I personally rate them equally.
Yang Yang is of course, handsome and dashing that is to be given. But the second lead(?) the prince of Ji is just as gorgeous to me? He has this noble and soft spoken yet domineering aura about him. I hope he doesn't turn out to be a bad guy.
Just finished the first episode and…And this is how a highly anticipated drama is done… all I wanted is already…
Yep. That's why I'm very picky about what dramas I watch. For me there's nothing more attractive than female lead with strong martial arts who can fight on par with male lead.
They’ll change the actress next season, also Qing Niao’s actress
FL I understand, her acting style may not be fitting to the setting but Qing Niao? Ding Xiao Ying did a phenomenal job and from what I've been reading on Weibo her performance was universally praised so why would they replace her?
Then you haven't watched harem dramas where one male has over 15-20 girls surrounding him. I'm sure you've watched…
Joy of Life is as about comedy as this series is comedy. In fact, this series is like a sibling of JoL. Same director, same script writer, shared cast and very similar vibes.
This drama was great, but it was very stressful experience for me. it was like setting sail on a journey with…
This series and the original novel is of power fantasy genre. Basically, in such genre, the protagonist is either very powerful or very intelligent and crushes his enemies. So no need to worry.

I like the supporting cast and humour in SSS better but in terms of fight scenes, CGI and pace I'd give this one point ahead of SSS.
I normally dislike Romance in my Wuxia but strong actors in Yang Yang and Lusi have the ability to carry this.
I bet most people think Mulan's horse from the Disney movie is real. Here take a look how CGI horses are indistinguishable from a real one
