Never saw Luthor. But I'm watching this on its own merit and because I'm a fan of Shin Ha Kyun. 4 eps. in and i'm impressed so far. The Psychopathic FL doesn't strike me as a 31 year old woman though. More like a 21 year old.
Only 3 were really creepy - the first one with the ash lady, the elevator episode and the ep. with the music box was the scariest. A few of them were more like life metaphors and the one with the father and son was disturbing.
EDIT: I liked this original version better. It doesn't have the same scares, but it's enough. I enjoyed the hint of romance and being China, the characters were spiritually minded and quicker to believe the visions. I think the ending here was much better. More realistic.
I also watched the American version. A bunch of jump scares and a reworked ending that takes away the horrific punch of the original. Everyone was whispered in this movie. But the sound effects were loud as can be. I kept having to adjust my volume and it was irritating.
All great tips. Not gonna lie, I'm overweight basically my whole life. I have PCOS, a female condition that makes me highly susceptible to heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. 2 years ago I went to the hospital because of excruciating pain on my left side, but I couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from. After 9 hours of testing, ultra sound AND Catscan, I was told it was flank pain, take some pain meds and go home and rest for 2 days. Well, I know now it wasn't exactly flank pain, there's something everyone missed that's pressing on my lower hip and back. But long story short, It made me think and I attributed a lot of aches and pains to laying too long on my stomach while watching dramas on my laptop. That can have a painful effect on your stomach organs to be all smushed up like that.
And the back issue, being shy and introverted in school I often hunched over, while I've gotten rid of a lot of insecurities and i'm close to 40 I still tend to do that while watching dramas and TV. It's a terrible habit and I understand completely why it hurts to actually sit straight. I'm thinking about investing in a back brace or some kind of special support bra that will hold me erect. Because I also write a lot so more often than not I'm sitting at the desk.
It wasn't the good Ms. Ma who kissed his cheek. It was the bad writer during her stay in the village.
You're welcome. at first I was tricked by the 'upcoming episode' scene where they showed Miss Ma kiss him. But i didn't realize that character would come back.
I thought this was a solid law drama. And it starred 2 of my favorites, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Hyun Joo. Those looking for romance shouldn't expect much. They're professionals, Dong Wook's character mentors Hyun Joo's. They work in the same firm, so it'd realistically be a big conflict of interest. But you do see the characters grow to respect and love each other just through their facial expressions and support of one another. If the very last scene is an indication, I believe by then they are together as a couple. Partners in law and partners in life.
I Iiked this all the way through, but it went full gory makjang by the end. I loved the 'trio' of Ms. Ma, Eun Ji, and the loan shark Mal Goo (I found him so hot) a sequel would be great with her and her "team" solving big local crimes .
Absolute waste of timeWith the reviews I got about this show I was expecting something really good... but this…
I liked Gong Hyo Jin in the drama Thank You. But after Pasta she continued to play the same candy girl with a 'woe is me' face and it turned me off too. I thought she was okay in this drama, but it was also more of the same. And I kind of agree about So Ji Sub, i like him best in the action/spy/mystery genres.
I liked this but didn't love it. There was a friendly chemistry with So Ji Sub & Gong Hyo Jin. However, i didn't feel the romantic chemistry. Seo in Guk and Ki Yoo Ri were also good. I felt it more with them.
By the end it dragged with useless and childish dialogue between the leads and their forced separation. And they introduce a cool character with seer abilities out of nowhere. She dreamed of this man? Really? But she didn't mention those dreams or envision the man at least once in the entire drama until he showed up in front of her? And she knows him for 5 minutes and is ready to travel the world with him? Does she even know if he's sane? That's asking too much for the audience to swallow, we're not stupid.
She is an acting Queen!! Loved her since LOST. She was amazing in Miss Ma, Nemesis. Didn't know she was raised in Staten Island, NY. I grew up only a borough away in Brooklyn, but visited S.I. often.
I love Kang Ji Hwan, so he didn't fail me with his performance. Don't care much for Baek Jin Hee. She's usually the same in every drama (and looks exactly the same) butI guess this is the best role I've seen her in. Still, her character came off as a moral-grandstanding nag after a while. Just like in Jugglers. This was a lot like Jugglers only with a time-loop.
The supporting players were all solid. No complaints there.
I don't think this drama even needed the romance, because what they gave us was lame and they only had good friendship chemistry. The 2nd lead was such a nuisance too, my gosh. The Romance felt shoe-horned into what was otherwise a solid office drama with a fantasy time-loop element.
This film hasn't been released yet. I'd read about financial problems and the cast and crew, as usual, not getting paid. That's terrible. It sounds like a really great film. Especially with Jang Hyuk in the lead.
After a while it got repetitive with ex's family causing trouble in her life. Chae Won's Noodle family weren't much better. Where was the love? They were greedy, lying and sometimes scheming. And all they did was argue and beat on others like gangsters. Not cool at all. It was hard to side with them. They were funny sometimes, but after a while it was all over-the-top. When they kept adding trauma after trauma in the last 5 episodes I nearly wanted to bail, but I'd come so far. I loved the Male lead, Se Young, but found Chae Won kind of a dishrag, letting people walk all over her and talk down to her. Typical early 2010's Kdrama female lead. She also waffled so much, and I was upset when she broke Se Young's heart near the end. All in all it was a good drama, but I wouldn't watch it again. The ex's family gave me a splitting headache.
