Just finished it. I marathoned it. One of the best Thai dramas I've seen, as far as plot/acting/production quality. I loved every minute. It was different from anything I've seen, and my gosh Pong has gotten way more handsome.
I loved Mo Nan and wish his plot line had gone differently. He's a very attractive bad/good guy. And good acting. Maybe he'll be in some more dramas later.
There is a "recap" category that articles can be filed under when you submit them, but I considered this to fit…
I'll be sure to save this for later. I've anticipated this drama so much I'm actually waiting till all eps are available, going to marathon it. So thanks for your hard work.
Glad you gave spoiler warning. I won't be reading this. → Maybe MDL needs to call some articles "Recaps" so that folks know - this is going to tell you what happens. As opposed to reviews that tell you why you want to watch a drama, without spoiling it.
and a "friendly pointer" for your critique: Instead of "lacks some substance" a positive criticism or better yet…
I don't usually write that way but decided to mirror your words to you. When someone takes the trouble to write an article for MDL, it is for our benefit. That person had to put time and energy plus work up the courage to do this. They deserve our appreciation and encouragement. I think the critics should write articles and show us how they should be done.
Overall, it's a nice article, but it doesn't really dive into the reasons. In short, it lacks some substance.…
and a "friendly pointer" for your critique: Instead of "lacks some substance" a positive criticism or better yet not criticism would be to say "needs fleshed out more."
Good topic. I do find kdramas inspiring. I've always identified with the underdog and I think that is a common theme in many of these dramas. Also, I find kdramas creative, refreshing and interesting - unlike US TV, kdramas are more modest and way less graphic. Usually there are real relationships built before there is intimacy and the intimacy will only be hinted at. Most Kdramas tell a story and maybe even teach a lesson, and while there are many fluff dramas, they are entertaining too, a mental break. Even better, a Kdrama comedy will make you both laugh and cry, that's pretty cool.
I don't see any unmarked spoiler except your comment. Could you flag your comment as a spoiler? It's too late for me - I've seen your comment now, but might help someone else.
I just noticed he came back to acting, but now he's doing Chinese dramas instead of Taiwanese dramas? o_o
He's been doing movies while away from tv dramas. I guess with Chinese dramas it doesn't matter what your language is because alot of these dramas are dubbed anyway. (takes getting used to, sometimes it annoys me enough I turn sound off).
The dubbing is because apparently issue of dialects being hard to understand?
Five episodes in and while there are some typical lakorn plot holes - this is a lovely drama. Some history, beautiful…
Just finished ep 1 on Netflix. I can't believe how handsome (more handsome) Pong has gotten. Whoa! The production quality on this drama is exceptional, and the acting is good. I like the plot, it is interesting. No fast forwarding but - I did have to mute volume during a revenge scene. (I'm squeamish).
Thankfully i put this one on hold and only got to watch ep 1-2 lol! I knew it, it's a torture to wait for another…
I put it on hold at Ep 8 when I realized I was flying through the episodes. Saving up for a big marathon! Also saving up Are You Human too for marathon watching . :)
So thanks for your hard work.

I almost never watch US tv now.
Too many I never got to finish.
I've re-watched this drama many many times.

Good job of man-scaping on him. (hair, brows, etc)
Saving up for a big marathon!
