That's what I love about the whole "supressed fellings aura". Very few BLs can portrait this in such sensible way to the point the audience can actually feel those butterflies in their stomach. I saw some comments about people claiming they feel different when watching MGB.

One BL that got me felling this way was Addicted Heroin (original version). There were others but THIS ONE, spoke with my soul!!
AH and MGB are very similar both Gu Hai and Mark are addicted to their lovers. And that is the kind of addiction that I haven't seen a lot since AH till MGB.

For Mark some fluids may taste better then food 🌚.

They were glad that they had more time to develop their bond before they started to film since the series got delayed. This is their first ride together as a pairing so it's completely valid if the audience perceive something off about their onscreen chemistry. Joss also vented about his embarrassment by showing his romantic side when filmed. But we're only 3 episodes in we have so much to see.

I also don't hold a solid opinion about them onscreen. It indeed is a little bit biased, but I also encountered few flaws here and there. Tho, overall I think they are making an amazing job.

We both know that Mark loves to explore his newly senses. When this "smelling Tong out" phase gets upgraded to "tasting Tong out" who knows the places Mark would like to taste apart from Tong's mouth.
Can you imagine a vanilla flavoured ice cream being tasted by Mark over Tong's -*cough* *cough* - this allergies again.

Mark was sharpening his sense of taste with all of that food to discover those flavours again in Tong's mouth😌.

Mark recovered his sense of taste if this wasn't clear in my previous comment and in the series. He's on his journey to become a human again the closer he gets to Tong. From now on Joss' acting may feel more "organic" and less "robotic".

Of course food from Michelin star restaurants doesn't guarantee good taste. - it should tho. But does Mark know it? - that's the point. Mark wanted to serve Tong good food soo he went by "common sense".

Have you ever eaten a food that's soo good that your body starts dancing on its own? Have you ever eaten a food so d*mn good that only the smell of it gets you salivating? Have you ever eaten a food that makes you think about that flavour for days? Have you ever eaten a food soo good that your soul leaves your body to tell you directly in the eyes: d*amn that food is fire?

Imagine not being able to taste for a whole 150+ years and the first bite of food you have feels like heaven. Don't forget that food was from michelin star restaurants 🌚 (that statement got me roiling, NGL). Also that food coming from Tong's fork had a special seasoning 🌚.

It certainty won't be with only 3 episodes in that one will know EVERYTHING about the plot. I advance to you that Tong isn't the only one being lied to. Mark is nothing but a servant, he doesn't know what it's like to live a life moved with personal needs. Mark before metting Tong, and becoming human again, didn't have any personal goals, motivations, desires, and on top of that, emotions. The only meaning and purpose for him to still being alive was to serve Thara. Mark wasn't living, he exchanged his whole existence to serve Thara - like a life depth.

Vampires don't exist IRL so we can't dictate what they should or shouldn't be doing. It's about the writter creativity to do their interpretation of a fantastic / folkloric creature.

Their weakness is precisely not having emotions and I also would say time, cause the more they use their powers the weaker they get. Vampires can dye if their heart gets pierced or if their bodies get severely damaged.

Tonkla's relationship with Tong could indeed be more explored. He surely feels like an extra. I hope the series highlights their relationship more.

We'll see more of Nakan later on and get to understand his whole motivations. (Every villain has a past).

Why sweat is gross but blood is not? It's totally understandable and coherent to the storytelling all of Tong's being having a supernatural effect over vampires. >ALL< of Tong's fluids have power over vampires. A repeat >ALL< of them. The sweat was supposed to drop on Mark's lips according to the novel 😏👄. But we got cheek instead 🤧😓.

About the chemistry I think this is kinda personal. So we have to agree to disagree on that. As the series flows you'll be able to have a more solid opinion about that. They'll have their first REAL kiss next week 🌚.

I'm just the kind of watcher that loves to testify these bits of moments and the sparkles to the blossoming of the feelings. The moment they affirm their love for oneanother the series is no more so fun to me.

It may be from my head but thai actors who have a western culture connection have this whole different aura and face expression when acting - they convey so much with little expressions. Take Pavel as an example.

The man could've just ASK for his clothes size. Instead he measured him. He's in XXI century but XIX century didn't leave him.

Those eyebrows were two paid actors.
