Do we need to watch Hospital Playlist in order to watch this drama?

I have not started watching this yet. There are a lot of mixed comments. Is there any romance in this drama? There are no romance-related tags or anything.

Do we need to watch season 1 to watch this season? AHS and LSK werent in S1

The SML is an absolutely idiotic character. He does all that just to finally get closer to the FL and announces their wedding, then starts acting like a complete weirdo in front of her. He puts wasabi in everything she eats, forces her to watch horror movies, and does loads of other stupid stuff. How do you fumble that hard? All he had to do was keep acting like he did in the first ten episodes. Obviously, I I know he wouldn't have succeeded anyways, but I just found it hilarious how someone can keep up a whole facade for so long, get so close to what they want (well, sort of), and then completely ruin it like that, what an absolute idiot.

If I'm being honest, I probably wouldn't watch the second season of Vagabond either. I just gave an example off the top of my head, one of many dramas with an unsatisfactory open ending that needed a second season, and I'm hoping Buried Hearts won't follow Vagabond's path and will actually release a new season.Vagabond might have not promised a sequel, but it was definitely needed, and the same goes for this drama.

I just hope this drama doesn't turn out to be like Vagabond, where we have to wait indefinitely for many years for a potential second season that will probably never happen. Ever since Vagabond, I've hated KDramas with endings like this.

I'm only on episode 11. Does this surgery completely fix his eyes? What's the surgery for exactly — does it just simply extend the time before he goes blind?

Yeah, I think I heard something about that, where Luo La wanted to marry, but there were some financial problems with NengNeng(I might be wrong).

EDIT: I just saw their Douyin videos they made together a couple of weeks ago, so I guess they are still together.

I've heard that the ending is a happy one, but from what I've seen, isn't it more of an open ending? It doesn't show them meeting outside the game unless I'm mistaken. I haven't watched it yet, but I don't really like endings that leave room for interpretation instead of giving a definite happy conclusion.
