I know it's fake but I think it's a very cute couple dynamic actually. All about "Idon't care what others think, as long as my love appreciates it"... :)

I actually really like the Marquis. I'd love a ML like that some time. Someone who is just straight up with his feelings, a bit (or very tbh) chaotic and just a feel-good character. No brooding and shutting the FL out iykwim.
