Congratulations, Mark Du, on winning the Maple Leaf Award for the Best Actor at the 6th Vancouver Chinese Film Festival in Canada in July 2018. It's been a duoble victory for the charismatic actor, because his first work as a producer got awarded too, winning the price for the best movie.
Congratulations, Chen Long, on winning the Maple Leaf Award for the Favourite Actor at the 6th Vancouver Chinese Film Festival in Canada on July, 21st 2018. A very special birthday present for the charming and charismatic actor who turned 42 just a few days later on July, 24th.
Su Xiao Ding is primarily a stage actor of some fame. He was nominated for a China Gold Lion Best Stage Actor…
Thank you for the info! I'll definitely keep an eye on him. He does a fantastic job! Mainly a stage actor, I could have guessed it. It's said that who really wants to be a great actor should at least once in his or her life perform on a stage and it's true. Why am I not surprised that two of my ultimate fave series show up: "Water Margin" (2011) and "Heroes in Sui and Tang" (2013)... I'm such a "Water Margin" (2011) addict! That cast will remain unmatched till the end of time (even though "Ever Night" is working on catching up). It will take decades until they may try to do another WM and they still won't reach the 2011 version. *starts fangirling* ;)
While we're always talking about the excellent performances of the trio in the lead, there's another one that gets me glued to the screen all the time - the Emperor/King. The way he sits on his throne, the way he performs in full opera garment, the way he has fun to scare his guest, the way he enjoys tortuing others physically or pschologically, reminds me of someone else's never reached performance of an Emperor: Sir Peter Ustinov's mindblowing portrait of Emperor Nero in timless classic "Quo Vadis" from 1951. Sadly, I can't find the actor's name in the cast list, but, no matter how, he really gets close to the amazing Sir Peter. Hats off!
Even though I'm not much into this drama, can one of you help, please: In which episode does Zhang Xiao Chen (He Lian Zheng) make his entrance? Thank's in advance for your effort.
It is obvious that these thoughts must have crossed both their minds while they are sitting on the bed.During…
Nope, you're not alone. Their love is so cute and strong the way it is and it's adorable that he's depicted as shy or careful or both. Makes me love him even more. BTW, in the novel there is no doubt on the fact that they both weren't that shy. Hehe... I kind of like both versions. Especially now, as you can imagine the actors faces while reading the novel... :)
First thing to say: This is not going to become a new "Bloody Romance" as it's far from being that intense, dark and impressive, but I think it can be a nice inbetween watch.
Second thing to say: Normally, I'm not much into the rolemodel of the spoiled and nosy young woman who annoys the lad she likes until he finally falls for her, but here it's a bit different, and I don't think it's love at first sight for the leading couple.
Impressive: The 18 years old He Lan Dou in the role of the female lead is really cute and I think, she has great potential. She reminds me a bit of the young Ariel Lin or Gong Mi. I'm curious, how she'll stand her ground over the story's course.
Beautiful: What totally caught me by storm, is the beautiful music composed for the soundtrack, also the opening and end titles. It all perfectly fits the whole atmosphere of the series, so far. Lovely! If you want to check on your own, watch here: https://www.iqiyi.com/v_19rqzkkspw.html
I also have a major case of second lead syndrome, but I'll watch it to the end because I want to be there for…
Since I know the real meaning of the ending, I think it's one of the best endings of a series I've ever seen, as it could serve in many ways. Excellent work and not just an awful cliffhanger like for "Princess Agents" or "Tribes and Empires". Here, we get a clever solution, that's perfectly done.
To celebrate BR exceeding 1.9 billion episodes view count at Youku, I have decided to post this amateur behind…
If we should ever meet within this life or any other lives to come, I'll kowtow to you for all the wonderful details you give us from "Bloody Romance".
This is the ULTIMATE spoiler, the ending in a 3:33 min 1080p video, fully English-subbed including the hidden message.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yj91491ByM8I…
Awwww!!! Qu Chu Xiao has such a lovely voice!!! This lad is pure gold!!!

That's great and, actually, I'd have been surprised if it would not be part of the actors-to-be's training as it's where all acting once started.
