Title Castaway Diva Spoiler
Bogeol is Kiho. We are slowly getting more hints and flashbacks that tug at the heartstrings. It would be a shame…
Certainly, choosing to work in the background and under the radar would be something Kiho would do.

Bogeol is Kiho. We are slowly getting more hints and flashbacks that tug at the heartstrings. It would be a shame…
There were several reasons pointed out on why Bogeol doesn’t say he is Kiho. Things like guilt that he caused her more suffering because she got stranded for 15years instead. Woohak thought the same thing when he said something like it was Kiho’s fault. Of course we can see that Mokha didn’t blame Kiho but BG doesn’t know that. We might see this change as he sees that Mokha is grateful for what he did more than she was resentful.

About WH having amnesia, his lost memories from before high school means he doesn’t have memories of Mokha. Which means he couldn’t be the one going to the train station all those years. We see Kiho going there, then eventually a man wearing Navy uniform. This detail also doesn’t add up to WH because of him getting seasick when they were on the boat. So logically speaking, we see many reasons that dispute WH claiming he is Kiho. And more info pointing to Bogeol. Such as the shoes that he promised to give her, his demeanor that is similar to Kiho etc. All the speculations that WH was Kiho just made things more confusing when it didn’t have to be.

I don’t disagree there are plot devices and drama logic being used. Though I think the drama is pretty straightforward. To me, it’s really just a story about a girl chasing her dreams and the chance to be reunited with the person who saved her from what could’ve been a tragedy.

Ofc bogeol is kihoo, even ranjoo said she remembers seeing him somewhere And that’s what annoys me about this,…
Bogeol is Kiho. We are slowly getting more hints and flashbacks that tug at the heartstrings. It would be a shame to miss those emotional connections that the story is getting at.

All these theories are just making it complicated than it seems. I don't even know why there are even speculations out there that says otherwise. The fact that Woohak works as a TV reporter is such a big clue. His face is exposed on tv for everyone to see. His dad would’ve recognized him right away. If Ranjoo can sense a familiarity when they had that brief encounter when he was younger, it should be the same and so much more so for his dad. His dad saying that he might not recognize him could be just his way of manipulating Kiho’s friend to lower their defenses. He’s trying to see if he can find Kiho through them.

Omg I just realized people calling the ML potato Boy, Omg that's so ADORABLE 🥹🥹🥹😭😭
I haven’t seen Nevertheless but this must be one of the writer’s hints for Bogeol and potato flowers. I love how they’re not being sneaky at all. Lol.

If KiHo really did lose all memories before highschool, he's WooHak. And if he did run away again and his mother…
#5 makes the most sense to me that it would not be Woohak. It would be illogical for someone who lost his memories to remember Mokha and do that all through those years. And also Kiho wearing a Navy uniform at the train station does not add up to Woohak who gets seasick.

While the rest of the list can logically point to things Kiho would do or behave if he were in the same situation.

Since everyone has been talking about the shoe connection, I just wanted to add some thoughts.
It was a huge reminder of what Kiho did for her that night he saved her life. She ran away so fast out of fear and desperation she didn’t even have time to wear her shoes. The shoe was a symbol of hope. Her gratefulness at having the chance to escape was so deep that she couldn’t even throw out the old, tattered shoes but instead held on to it. (I guess there wasn’t a trash bin nearby?).

However, the fact that Woohak made a joke about it when they were in the car drove the point of its significance. And a point of contrast between the brothers. Bogeol brought her new shoes while Woohak has no idea at all what it meant for her. Well, granted that he has amnesia but the actions of both that were in clear contrast could be something.

While Bogeol was tying the shoes for her, she couldn’t help but suddenly start crying. She told him she was thankful. I think that should speak for the impact of the shoes. For Bogeol, it might look like she was just thanking him for giving her new shoes. For Mokha, it reminded her so much of that night and held so much meaning for her.

Yeah, plus Mok Ha and her friend call him new kid in the first episode, when they're looking for a phone so Mok…
He also knew details of the Old station about some compass on the ground when he was giving Mok Ha instructions on the boat. That’s not common info one can get from a tourist guide book,I think. He’s definitely from Seoul and grew up there.

It also kinda explains how he was very persistently working towards having money and just waiting for the chance he could leave. He didn’t need directions to go there, he knew where he was going.

So I rewatched some scenes from 1st episode and noticed that Kiho does not have the same Satoori island accent as the rest of the kids. Does he?He seems to speak with a Seoul accent. His dad doesn’t have it either. Anyone else notice it?

Maybe something happened in Seoul and it was not the mom who ran away but the dad committed something or was caught and he took Kiho with him to the island to escape?

Nah.. I’d bet all my umbrellas and my fishing net that’s not gonna happen. Kiho has to be either one of them…
Oh I love the enthusiasm you have for it! And delighted at someone’s recognition at my feeble attempt at being associated with a genuine masterpiece lol

Since this is a K drama, I’m more inclined to believe in tropes and cliches. There are clues that are pointing to them. And I have my own biases too so let’s see how the story unfolds.

We don't know who Kiho really is yet...
In the scenes where he was waiting by the clock, the 2nd boy with the brown coat wasn’t wearing glasses anymore.

Imagine if Kiho is none of the 2 brothers. hahahaha imagine the reaction of the fans and, the real kiho will appear…
Nah.. I’d bet all my umbrellas and my fishing net that’s not gonna happen. Kiho has to be either one of them 😁😅 and besides, I’d love that we see him actually have escaped, be with his mom and living in a safer environment.

I have the same suspicion that Bo Geol is Ki Ho though his passive reaction at seeing Mok Ha is puzzling for someone who volunteers/spends time looking for her.

Or typical Start Up ending lmao ML is not KiHo but she'll end up with him haha
I will accept whatever drama trope or cliche as long as she ends up with Chae Jong Hyeop haha

I think it’s more than just guilt, poor Ki Ho went through a traumatic experience too. He must have thought she died and he might think he’s responsible for leading her to runaway. Having all those intense feelings could lead to suppression of memories. It could take awhile to unravel though I think he looked kinda suspicious in some scenes. I’m not sure though what could’ve happened that brought about the name change.

Had to chuckle at the mention of “Winter Sonata”…
…could this be a hint from the writer? The ML had amnesia and a 2nd identity 😂
