There were some developments with Woohak in the last two episodes and just wanted to share thoughts about it.
Because the family has always been protective of Woohak, rightly or wrongly, due to the accident that caused him to lose his memories, that somehow affected the way he behaves and thinks. It’s clear within the family dynamics that he was treated differently, esp by the caring Dad. Whenever there was a conflict, he would side with Woohak. Thus, it’s not a surprise he somehow got stuck in the mindset of a teenager where his whims and outbursts were almost always being catered to.
With the recent development of Woohak’s breakdown, he realized his family was not handling him with kids’ gloves anymore. Rightly or wrongly, it is what it is.
And I’m actually realizing now that maybe it was a good thing Woohak finally acknowledged his feelings for Mokha. As opposed to his denial previously. That acceptance can pave for a change in his outlook and behavior. And perhaps, possibly a realization that his feelings, genuine as they may be, are not as deep as compared to the feelings that Bogeol has. It’s not just the length of time (15yrs vs 15 weeks, give or take) but, as we can see, the things Bogeol did for Mokha behind the scenes and the way he understood her. Looking for a place to stay, driving her to places whenever he was available etc these were things which Woohak also did. However, the most important one that Kiho/Bogeol did, giving his whole support for Mokha in order for her to realize her dreams to the point of sacrificing his feelings. Even to the point of cutting ties with her. It may be difficult for him but he did in order for her to make the easier decision, that is, go with Ranjoo and go for her dreams. He did it so she wouldn’t be weighed down with the pressure of rejecting him and his family. Over the dining scene, his parents understood that. The caring dad even took his side, for a change, which must’ve surprised Woohak and added to his cantankerous behavior.
There’s one or two things that seem to make Mokha truly happy since she was a kid. It was to meet Ranjoo and to realize her dreams (at one time, a huge reason might be she wanted to escape her father). And Bogeol understood all that. He has always been behind her. And this is what Woohak didn’t fully get.
Woohak and Mokha’s interactions weren’t meant to have the audience become attached to him to the point of wanting him to be Kiho (which he was not) and wanting him to be endgame for Mokha (even if she didn’t have the same feelings for him). I think he served a purpose for Mokha’s integration into society. A sort of bestie sidekick, if you will. His childlike personality and mindset matched with hers as she got off the island so she didn’t feel too out of sync navigating with society. If you’ve watched 30 but 17, it’s similar to the FL interactions with the ML’s nephew who was around 17 years old if I’m not mistaken. They had the same cute and friend support dynamics.
So anyway, the storyline is not confusing for me. It’s actually moving along nicely. And also, it seems just about the right pace that the other plot points will get their own conclusions too.
Also, the voice over at the end made me think that Mok Ha abandoning the Kang family was being compared to her…
I think there is a bit of spoiler with Mokha’s dialogue at the preview for the next episode. But good observation on the seagull’s eggs. It’s interesting how that analogy applies to the characters.
To people who are saying that they prefer Woohak to end up with Mokha, put your bias aside and please make sense.…
Agree with everything you said 👏👏👏
I’m absolutely in love with this drama and never had second lead syndrome. I love Bogeol and Mokha and watching them falling for each other.
Everyone and their granny saw how Bogeol felt. His longing, the pain, fear, frustration. Holding it all in after 15 years is no joke.
The first time he could ever reveal how happy he was was when he saw how happy Mokha was on that stage. Did you she how Mokha just glowed so radiantly as the confetti fell? That’s what Bogeol saw at that same moment that he had a “burst of happiness” as when he was young Kiho shooting for her music video. The first time we see that young Kiho had feelings for Mokha. It started there and eventually developed over the years as he kept waiting for her at the train station and looking for her at those islands. Bogeol’s smile looking through the monitor at Mokha mirrored her happiness. He knows and understands her like no other.
The silliness of a third wheel here is so ridiculous. Sad to say, viewers can get played by the writer. Let’s just go and get her a perm or something. Just kidding 😁
Excuse me while I go back to enjoying every bit of the Bogeol and Mokha moments some more. They deserve it after having suffered through so much. And I can’t get enough of them.
I’m so happy I can’t describe it. It feels like we won 3.2 billion 😂 I love this show! Can’t wait for…
I think it’ll be the same for me too. Every episode just makes me feel so many things. I’ve never been so invested with two characters that I just wish them to find all the happiness they deserve.
I don't think it's super romantic yet, especially on her side, but Episodes 7 and 8 really upped the romance/chemistry…
If my hunch is right, we’re gonna see Mokha reciprocate Kiho’s declaration in her own way somewhere in the next four episodes. There are still other plot points ongoing so it will probably not be the main focus. But i have a good hunch it will happen. It will be clear as day her feelings for Kiho is different from the friend vibe she has for Woohak. I’m sure the writer is smart enough not to waste great chemistry between the main pair. Lol.
actually its was so obvious that he was ki ho well he is the ML and they were trying so hard to make us think…
“actually its was so obvious that he was ki ho”
Exactly as you said, it was so obvious who Kiho was.
Look, I understand fangirling for a certain actor and the predisposition to support him. And also, I get it when the show is written in such a way as to stir up interest among the viewers into picking teams.
BUT, the point here is, there is already confirmation and the reveal has been done. The “finding Kiho” part of the story already had its conclusion. And we’re moving to the next phase in the story.
Are we even watching the same show?Did they miss those scenes on the confirmation and reveal? It’s not like the writer is still dragging this plot along for viewers to think she will undo what she had built up so far because there is a twist coming.
I feel like its their bias towards "that" character that they're justifying all means to make him "Kiho" when…
There isn’t anything to justify at this point to make the other character be Kiho. If that were the case, the writer would need to untangle so many details about Kiho and Mokha, their background, their dialogue, the way they behave, the things they do and say, their conversations with the family to the point that it wouldn’t make sense.
Didn’t realize there are still some viewers out there, and I mean not just here but even in other platforms, that still haven’t accepted (?) the truth about Kiho’s identity. The drama has been very blatant about the Kiho hints since the beginning. And it was already confirmed by episodes 7 and 8. It’s surprising that they could still be thinking there’s going to be a twist somewhere (?) Maybe those things happen in a different drama with a different genre or storyline. This isn’t that kind of show though.
Ooh!! I like that idea of Mokha’s first song dedicated to Bogeol! That would be really sweet. It can be sort…
Oh you’re right, I didn’t pay much attention earlier. Shechanged the title from “To You” to “Until the End”. So far, all the songs in the drama have been meaningful and relate to their story. I can’t wait to find out!
I hope Mokha's first song will be dedicated to Kiho/Bogeol. Bogeol's feelings for her are as clear as the ocean,…
Ooh!! I like that idea of Mokha’s first song dedicated to Bogeol! That would be really sweet. It can be sort of her public confession to him, maybe? She’s already giving indirect signs anyway, like the pinkie promise and the little heart she made on the cue card. 😊

The Seagull is an important character!! 🤣🤣😂
