I checked one of the trailers again, and the ML is the one doing a voice over about "50% probability" and "I hope…
Yes that’s the ML’s voice. It’s a 100% probability! 😉
I think maybe he could be feeling guilty at having to leave her all alone and knowing what she must have gone through all those years in the island must be tough for him too.
And apparently there is an actual kiss scene, not just a hug, when they met at the field which we didn’t get…
I’m not sure either. But I guess we can just console ourselves that there is a scene like this as evidence.
It seems to be a common thing. I also read that The Worst of Evil also had some deleted scenes that the cast even talked about publicly. Guess we will never know why that happens.

Yes that’s the one. Previously there was just a photo of them hugging. Now there is a photo of them actually kissing. My rational mind can only think that perhaps the PD decided to not go for cliched ending. Some of us already saw clues from certain scenes and their dialogue even before the photos were published. Thus they went for the same theme of introspection that runs throughout the drama and gave hints instead. Still, as a fan of the artists and having fallen for their characters , that would’ve been really good to see onscreen 😭
And apparently there is an actual kiss scene, not just a hug, when they met at the field which we didn’t get and I am so mad. Why??! That could have been such a beautiful scene!!
All of his characters are awesome. It’s hard to choose just one but Chef On Jung Seon has a soft spot for me because that’s where he first caught my eye.
if you look at the intro scenes I looks like they meet up in Japan and idk Im going off that picture of them in…
Good catch! I also think they would eventually meet again because of the patterns in their conversations in some scenes. That they actually showed those few seconds at the beginning of each episode confirms it :)
but anyways... I actually liked it? surprised to see many ppl hate it
About the putting on socks for her at the hospital, I think it may be a symbolism of sorts because it can be one of the most intimate and loving thing another person can do for another. I’d even go as far as having its parallelism in historical times (in Korea) when women would never reveal such part of her body towards a stranger or a man and would only do so for her husband, if she were married. So I think that says a lot about that scene.
My main gripe with it is the ending, if they had wrote a better ending then the drama would be great
I didn’t mind the way it was done. In their last argument, it had the same pattern as the first one they had and then they made up. That scene made it clear to me that it was just a matter of time before they would get together again. Sometimes we just have to read between the lines :)
Not even sure where all the hate is coming from but the drama is not that bad. I think it has a unique emotional pull that was intriguing.
The characters have their own flaws and can be annoying but to me that’s what made them feel very real. And I think that’s what made their relationship the way it was. Their strengths and weaknesses complemented each other. She needed him as much as he needed her. People are complex and love can be complicated. I think it was conveyed very well in the story and by the cast. I can’t imagine anyone else portray them as well as Suzy and YSJ.
9 episodes was just the right length. It reminds me of some Japanese shows. Its styling of having mostly instrumental background music and sparse OST are similar. I like its non-frenetic pacing.
Overall, it’s an introspective kind of drama and pretty good depiction of a relationship’s ups and downs.
I’m not done yet. But just came in to say those expecting a rom com may want to skip this. Having said that, the show is actually good. It’s a first love kind of story except it’s not told or played in the usual way.
Suzy and Se Jong have captured the essence of their characters really well.
in the webtoon the ML initially liked FL but backed down when he noticed she liked bo gyeom (the history teacher)
It seems more likely that is how it’s in the drama too. There was that scene where he seemed a bit disappointed when she told him she wanted him to fix her up with the other teacher. And also that scene after they came out of the escape room when he said he was leaving(?) because he presumed that she wanted to be on that date with Mr Lee.
I’m also suspicious of that Tiramisu cake on her table. Could it be placed there secretly after overhearing that lunch conversation? Why would he put it there for her if he didn’t like her?
I have nothing but good impressions of this drama. First two episodes are so good. It’s better than the webtoon author’s previous trainwreck of a drama. The past story and the background music/OST are interwoven so much better. Comedy is on point too- had too many good chuckles out of this one. If the drama keeps this up till the end, this may end up as one of the best romcoms on the list.
The main leads have better chemistry too. PGY and CEW must be having a ball portraying their roles. It’s just a shame, if the news are valid, regarding the one episode a week starting next Wednesday. It will be agonizing to wait.
After all that, we don't even get a real kiss between the second leads? In the comic they had a much better kiss,…
I hated the way this show tells me to put aside every bit of critical thinking just because, you know, “it’s a fantasy”.
Great acting, great cinematography or great music don’t really make up for a lousy script and messy execution.
I appreciate the message it was trying to convey though personally I think now they really could do away with the romance if they were gonna botch it up anyway. Was it because Do Yoon and Cho Won’s extended kiss scene ended up on the cutting room floor? I’m laughing at how the shortened episodes are placed at fault for all the mess in the story. But they didn’t skimp on the flashback or pool scenes.
As a non webtoon reader, I was really looking forward to the subversion of tropes. I am avoiding all future works from this drama’s writer.
This seemed like something one consumes for cheap thrill and mindless entertainment. It feels akin to going to a 5 star restaurant but being served cotton candy instead of a full course meal on a flashback loop. Meh.

Here’s the link of the entire album, in case anyone’s interested. It’s also available on Spotify.

YSJ has been known to be good at “eye acting”. His ability to show multitude of emotions through his expressions is one of his acting strengths.
Both of them are really good at creating chemistry with their co- performers.
