... huh, Kim Eun Sook and Ahn Gil Ho. The cast is whatever, these two together have my full attention. Can’t wait.

I’m in the middle of multiple dramas and suddenly got the urge to start binging this again.. i blame the other titles for not creating a from-scratch build and chemistry as great as this. Hell, heavily into writing this time around so I’ll make that as my excuse to uh.. rewatch this depiction through different lens? That works, looks sensible.

Uh.. okay then. Well if this drama ends up fizzling out let me just say the first episode alone was well worth the investment. Easily among the best first eps out there, literally had to catch my breath after. Diving back in.

Very slowly but surely growing a taste for fantasy. Gave this a go before and was turned off by the choreography. Everything else intrigued me to keeping on hold til I’m ready to give it a fair shot.

There’s something magical about a mutual standpoint of tolerance between people with very different tastes. I was on a very thin line of curiosity in trying this series out thinking this could be different from the others in this similar genre. Your thoughts tipped me right off, seen what i needed to be confirmed was a thing or not, always appreciate when others express their thoughts despite them going against the majority. Thank you.

The executions were off and pacing a bit wonky. Been wondering what turned me off so fast and rewatched the first 2 eps again. It’s crazy how censorship can turn a drama out as I’m sure the novel isn’t as watered down. I’ve been wanting to see Li Ying in a much better role than that god awful experience i had with Rookie agent rogue and couldn’t ask for a better lens than this. Might pick back up later.

Though I’ve been rather mute, I appreciate your consistent returns back to this drama with updates and praise, as this is a masterpiece for me as well that deserves the recognition. About time i give it a rewatch.

Nah EAW definitely delivers in the exact style they listed, wasn’t saying they were similar in other ways. Both holding your hand throughout scenes that lacks natural and subtle execution. Secret love affair is more subtle but also lacks natural development, so I’d agree in that aspect being similar.

Idk about hollywood’s style of this genre, typically dont give any of em a shot as i dont see it as their forte. Definitely get what you mean with EAW delivering it in a lighter manner though, it’s just loaded with that style of writing compared to this series is all.

Not necessarily trying to oppose your opinion here, as I’m not much of a fan of that style as well, but looking at how much you’ve enjoyed Extraordinary Attorney Woo that practically stomps all over this series in terms of the same style I’m not sure how that turned you off here.

Been stuck midway with this one, might leave it be or just tough it out to see if the ending leaves any impressions.The tropes are indeed running rapid, but nothing turns my immersion off more than the stiff attempts at expressing grief and overall joy at times. Many are loving the child actors and i do admit to the great chemistry, it’s just the story surrounding them and scripts can feel very mediocre to me. I’m much more in tuned with the present story as they can at least make up for most of that with their performances.

On fire is a positive phrase when figurative, there’s no bad way.

3 eps down, i’m uh, enjoying it? If I’m being honest i was MUCH more interested in hyun woo’s life over his roles as do joon. Besides some few cringe parts the rest isn’t bad either,just not sure how long I’ll stick it out with the future investing and mystery. Dear god somebody bring me a drama like the first episode here lol.

That whole angel or whatever nonsense killed my interest in again my life, the struggles of not being into fantasy. Haven’t even paid golden spoon any mind so luckily this is all refreshing to me.

Midway through cooking with the first ep ready on my screen i gotta see comparisons to the FL in K2 ... deep breaths.

A shame because the ending was great(performances wise), if it wasn’t for me watching it while i was new and ditzy on kdramas I would’ve dropped it as well and missed out on that.

Will be my first time diving into a series with this reborn premise. Not regularly a fan of fantasy but want to at least find one worth trying. Kim Tae Hee hasn’t left a bitter taste in my mouth yet. So far from the comments a few ticks I’ll have to let slide, filter and Tiffany, got it.

Bingo, well put together thoughts. I had seen enough exactly in the halfway mark where it foreshadowed those exact issues coming to the forefront, many rightfully disagree with doing so because of the short length but ofc tolerances differ. The choreography here was next level in comparison to most, just all around a stunning work for the eyes.

Ah that was you lol, i came across that comment as i was curious about the drama yesterday. I felt the exact same way with The Red Sleeve(as you can see from me dropping it at a similar point). I’ve been on the lookout for picky watchers despite how our tastes differ. I felt that UTQU would be another disappointment if i tried it out, still might give it a go in the future. So damn hard to find a saeguk for me to enjoy all the way through lol. I friended you to keep up with any updates on dramas I’m also curious in to see these takes and recs. Feel free to do the same!
