Phew finally finished & I have to say I don't know how one can watch this drama unironically and think it's a…
Usually skip over these negative feedbacks of a series after seeing their taste in other shows. Gotta admit your Mdl impressed me to the point of keeping this series out of consideration, which is what i wanted anyway from how dated it looks lol.
Compared to the past 7 weeks i was surprised a few times at how excruciatingly long this last week been dragging for me. I have a general idea of how the series will end and my thoughts overall, but hell i just want to put my specific praises and nitpicks into words already! Alas, kdrama has taught me rather be prepared to do many revisions or wait til the very end. Sigh i prefer the latter.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it light... By ep10 the body count is probably well into its twenties... Everyone…
I didn’t go as far as to call it light either, i said it’s as light as the trailer portrayed. It’s not the gritty level of tone i prefer. I’m well aware of it still being dark, still has other elements(such as the humor)and cinematic tones mixed in to lighten it up
What is light about this series??You obviously didnt watch because no way anyone will call it a "light drama"…
Read and comprehend before trying to defend something lol, i clearly said “as light” as the trailer portrays, not light in general. Everyone knows the series is balancing out the dark themes with light humor. Not something debatable nor is it a flaw , settle down.
Will it make a difference if we saw Hee-do's husband even in just one episode? I'm still contemplating if I'll…
Literally wouldn’t make any difference, and if anything would be an unnecessary distraction from the main message of the drama. It’s not a valid aspect to fault the drama for in terms of scoring, her finding someone else was just a subtle touch in the reality of moving on.
I'm currently on ep 2 and think that it's really slow for me, does the pacing get a bit fast or does something…
Alot happens to hook its viewers, but ofc it depends on the preferences of the viewer watching, if you’re into slow burns, this won’t disappoint with early on moments and progression . If you’re not , better off dropping.
Highly disagree on the no chemistry and development. The chemistry was built upon characters with the mutual acceptance of silence and little to no unnecessary interactions at all, as that’s just a realistic display of people who are introverted and/or conservative. I also wasn’t as fond of My Mister as most were, mainly for the issue i gave in my review. But this series managed to pull off most it was going for. The development between the leads was seen as early as episodes 6-7(Gu cracked his first smiles there as well btw). There’s a few issues i have with this series as well, and your review is well constructed and valid regardless of my disagreement, i just tend to express thoughts on opinions that feels like we watched two completely different series.
Thank god the series found its footing again this week, no idea what they thought they were doing for the past 2. Just don’t crash now, should be borderline impossible but many always find a way.
Why are these ultra boring dramas where nothing ever seem to happen like: 21 25, run on, or our beloved summer…
If series like 25-21 or even run on feels like nothing’s happening in your perspective, that’s a sure sign you’re not apart of the audience targeted. It’s popular because it favors people that are interested in slice of life/coming of age dramas, with mature tones and at times a slow burn.
Very good comment, I agree with most of what you said.I find it strange that whenever someone meets somebody they…
Good comment, even better response! I didn’t want to get into my nitpicks of their insightful realizations every other scene lol, mainly because it’s just not my cup of tea when everything said leaves so much for interpretation. The first half of the series was fine, as the characters didnt interact with one another when it wasn’t needed, sudden insightful thoughts here and there, felt more balanced. Now it’s much more interaction, showing that their scripts was solely based on deep realizations of themselves , with the supporting cast following along as if those outburts at lunch with your coworkers, dinner with your friends, coffee with people you barely know, pooping in your neighbor’s house is relatively normal 😂.
I try to avoid drama with Angelababy. But I want to see Chen Kun. otoke 😵💫
Luckily she plays a rather minor role here, though the writing of the character itself makes her a bothersome watch for the little time she does appear let alone the acting .
Though the dialogue among the cast remains top tier, have to admit the pacing of the plot itself has been losing my interest since ep.8 . Some support characters are laughably simple with sudden attempts at “I have a story to tell too”. Gu himself has been phenomenally written, can’t say the same for his background out Seoul, a shame. Besides that this series comes with made it worth my investment, still hoping it doesn’t crash.
It’s sprinkled throughout the series, great moments from the beginning of the series to the very end. Don’t necessarily need a pinpoint, dive in to see yourself
Such a great drama ruined by such a minor issue to most but major to me.. what the hell were they thinking with Yun Hui’s love interests?? Neither of them nor their plot lines made had any originality and made little to no sense. Hell it would’ve made more sense if he actually just stuck out to being asexual.. Like they didn’t want him to live out his years as a virgin so they tossed convenient idiots disguised as plot devices in front of him. 99% of viewers can tolerate this so don’t let my mini rant drag you away from watching, just had to let out this frustration i held for over 2 months since dropping. Great drama nonetheless.
