My thoughts exactly on the conversations and reactions surrounding the representation and imageries. Though I’ve also come to the realization that most just aren’t aware of how off putting and at times ignorant their statements can be.I’ve always addressed everyone in the same manner(with obvious exceptions in specific situations) so it still takes alot out of me to accept that many genuinely has similar intentions despite the different ways addressed. Many come from innocent ages as well so that makes it easier for me to look pass.

Alright so 6 eps in,update. As much as i want to bare all positive feedback I can’t quite get over a major lump for me to continue. The amount of caricatures they’ve managed to throw in 4/6 of those eps were unexpected, as personally I’m not a fan of that style of storytelling. The episodic nature of this series is tolerable(not my cup of tea) but I can’t help but grow tired of the predictability on when and how they conclude each case, despite different results.

As for the aspects pulling me in to continue this delightful binge, the cinematography is jaw dropping. Great performances from everyone worth mentioning(was a rocky start i admit). Those that love a series that pays enough attention to detail and well executed representation can’t be disappointed here. And I’m a complete sucker for a great slow burn romance, only gripe is the lack of subtlety. As im typing this i guess i convinced myself to stick in there at least to catch up to the 10 eps out lol.

Seeing Doctor Prisoner as the most recommended similar series invalidated all the writing praise I’ve seen lol. They done the same with that drama and got me giving into 2 episodes of lazy storytelling. But ofc to each their own.

Been ignoring the hype for this series due to how fluffy it appeared in the trailer, as I’m usually into more subtle serious tones. Just now realizing this series was created by the same writer of Innocent Witness... guess it’s time to get out of my slump and give this a go

Honestly just from looking at the cast and stills that were released i came to the conclusion that it wouldn’t satisfy the critical og fans such as us. Some of the leads don’t even fit their characters appearance wise, exceptions to Denver and Berlin. Those that are much more tolerant found this remake pleasing enough, don’t think i will ever understand anyone that could even put this close the OG, if it didn’t lack severely in originality then definitely. Alas, the skimming i did through the first half were entertaining, laughter and impressed by the cinematography.

It’s copy paste in a different setting, with some scenes cut and a few slightly altered characters to slide under censorship. It can at most be a refreshing experience. It’s clear it doesn’t come close to the quality of the OG. If you’re prepared for a lower quality experience for the feel of a different cast and setting, go for it. Otherwise, you’re better off rewatching the og.

First time witnessing it first hand. From mouth breathers to cope rangers. Can’t decide which side’s funnier.

The only delusional one here is the person assuming strangers they know nothing about isn’t judging the drama fairly. Blind as well to not see that it’s both those that watched the original AND those that haven’t are expressing negative feedback on the drama. You can enjoy the series without being ignorant towards others’ opinions. Everyone has their rights to judge however they please as long as it’s not out of line.

Lol, let’s stop with the childish indirect banters. People have every right to compare this series to the original and share their thoughts (positive or negative) just as much as anyone coming into this series blindly. There’s no “ruin the ratings” when it’s genuine and logical thoughts of the remake.

Anyone that has watched the original should keep their expectations low. It’s almost impossible for this remake to come close to the original due to censoring. And ofc how excellent the original cast already were.
