“The people who rated this 10/10 are just your typical overhypers”. It’s quite unfortunate getting to this actually considering everything else you’ve stated beforehand were valid criticisms. People that over hype a series don’t come from personal ratings, it comes from reviews/comments stating technical and directive accomplishments a series doesn’t really meet. The series simply met their expectations and they were that fond of it, so it’s 10/10 for them. I rarely toss 10/10s myself but even I acknowledge any 10/10 from me doesn’t apply to general standards.

You’re sending responses i expect from my 10 yr old cousin if i were to bash her beloved spongebob and comfy couch. Comprehend what’s being said to you instead of continuing on rambling irrelevant and immature arguments. Then respond properly.

Everyone that interacted in this thread can guarantee the only display of idiocy is coming from your statements. The more popular responses doesn’t make you wrong, the clear lack of common sense and maturity in yours does.

What does somebody personally rating a drama lower than a 7 have to do with objectivity? Nobody’s opinion is objective, that’s what ratings are, opinions summed up in a numerical scale. Being critical of a series doesn’t automatically make any and everything they spout as something objective. Invalidating someone because you personally believe the series can’t be below a 7 in a critical watcher’s mind is utter ignorance and laughable.

I found myself rewatching Doctor John because of this series. Not similar in any way in terms of the premises, but sharing the similarities of the episodic/arch style in storytelling. Imo that series was a perfect example of how to naturally execute sub plots, with unpredictable progression and minimum amounts of caricatures. One can expect the series to not only maintain the consistency of the characters’ development from each episode/arch, but also much more depth in each as well when you’re not limiting them to the same time frames of introductions and conclusions.

I feel as though this needs to be said due to some interactions here. If your opinion and/or rating on this series changes drastically(rather it’s positive or negative) from others’ differing opinions, “your” opinion wasn’t yours to begin with. In no way,shape, or form should somebody telling you not to blatantly lie in your review/comments make you drop the rating down to its lowest because you were caught. In no way, shape, or form should a controversial series make you rate a series way higher than you normally would(and openly express doing so) had it been received the way you wanted it to. It’s not genuine, no we’re(those I’ve witnessed,not everyone) not attacking you for having an opinion, you’re being addressed for insincerity.

Technical quality levels formulated by the overall quantity of the specified topic and group. You went from “attacking anybody who rates this series highly” to now me just blatantly attacking. Not the case at all, no where in my statements does it even imply I’m addressing those that rated the series high in general, which is where you’re clearly wrong and were addressed on, I’ve yet to speak on anything past that since you’re obviously mistaken there. I am quite skeptical of this series. For one the ML of which I’m not used to seeing felt uncomfortably new. Gotten somewhat used to him but still on a thin thread of toleration, not sure why. Maybe the mixture of doll like and fragile vibes i get when he’s on screen compared to the type of actors/actresses I’m used to seeing from these types of characters, his acting makes up for my visual gripes though. I’ll put this on hold, 4 episodes in and i have to admit despite the very strong 2 episode start, i felt as though I’m the one trapped inside that office. The overwhelming amount of interactions amongst the same people with the same personalities/takes became a chore to sit through. You already know how one’s going to react, who’s eavesdropping, envying ,harassing, curious of who, not interested in who, you get all these from the very first introductions. Now play all of them back several times but in slightly different situations(I’ll lose my mind if i have to see how utterly dull and desperate Baek Ki has to be to bring up Geu Rae to hold conversations with a woman again..). Alot of potential for strong characterization and development here, but mind bogglingly exhausting when paired with office politics as the other focus.

The show is most certainly overhyped by some. As they claim technical and directive accomplishments that this series doesn’t make, as I’m sure the creators and actors themselves are aware of. Perhaps try reading the review i made on this series a few weeks back. I’m sure that will help you understand what’s being said here. At the very least what’s not being implied.

Attacking and insulting them? You failed to comprehend the point we were making from the jump so I’ll excuse that ignorant assumption. Anybody can rate a series however way it satisfied them, thus making it their opinions and perspective on the series. That’s completely different from what i was speaking on. Read what you’re responding to thoroughly and understand the terms being used before making assumptions.

Bingo, people don’t understand that factor exists. A reality check is needed for those that still believe every perspective of viewing and reviewing is subjective. There’s new technical and directive standards every day with each show/film pushing among/beyond them.

You clearly didn’t comprehend what i stated. Because it definitely wasn’t criticizing personal opinions when I’ve clearly stated “objective standards”. There’s no opinions related to it. Why would i want strangers spamming for spoilers under me and others when it has nothing to do with what we posted. If we don’t spoil people obviously it’s an annoyance. If “most people” spreaded nonsensical hate and toxicity in a comment section does that mean tolerate it? Don’t sweat it though, just be aware there’s things like subreddits and spoiler reviews for that.

I rarely comment to avoid immature spams like this. Rather experience it yourself or find a friend/group that has no issue spoiling for you. Avoid annoying strangers online.

I think many of us learned a valuable lesson here, if the series thats trending everywhere involves strong representation, lower your expectations before diving in. Many don’t look past that aspect as long as it’s done well enough. Toss in the ole kdrama fluff and it’s a wrap.

Don’t give them advice on how to properly exchange differing opinions on a drama. The simpleminded responses they’re giving now only shows exactly what type of series this is and proves our point. We all have our personal favorites, but if anyone actually think that this series meets the objective standard of most shows/films that reaches anything above an 8 rating (Imdb) they’re rather too young or coping.
