Ideal tone mixed with a great cast. Sigh, an unfortunate drop. When you create a series with a slow and steady pace such as this with a lazy one dimensional character such as Kim Bong Shik, i can only tolerate so much of the childish outbursts, idiotic leaks, nonsensical restrictions... in a SINGLE episode let alone the rest. When one poor choice of writing is thrown at you repeatedly on top of the dragging of cases(not the issue) it begins to contaminate the quality of the drama in its entirety.
1. I couldn’t care less what you thought was a masterpiece, your opinion on that wasn’t what i addressed.
2. You can be annoyed all you want, you posted a public reply that got a public response, doesn’t matter if the other user already replied, i did as well with different parts addressed, simple .
An overdue reminder that this kick ass of a series is certainly way too underrated. Sheds alot of light on other drama out there for me. A crime to keep this on hold for as long as i did.
A beautiful premise that would’ve been WAY better executed had it been a short series or longer length. Still worth the watch but i feel another attempt on this story is needed to do it justice.
News flash, somebody can reply to your message with a completely different take than the other party. My point was made not to agree with either of you, simply correcting your views on thinking everyone takes a perfect score as a masterpiece.
The lazy way they brought the exes in turned me away from this drama. One of the better modern dramas though for sure. Another big issue that most of these female centered dramas have is that 1-2 lead stories you lose all interest in keeping up with and end up just skipping 1/3 of the drama. Hope i can come across one that can balance the same quality for each woman/couple storyline.
A certain score doesn’t mean a masterpiece for everyone, there are many series one can acknowledge as a general masterpiece but it specifically wasn’t for them
what's with the rating. this is such a good drama. why do people give this low rating? yes, it was a bit boring…
The same rating range of 99% cdrama in the republican era, and though I’m not interested in trying this one out I’m positive it does nothing that makes it stick out from the rest. Most cdrama in this period goes under the radar.
Some very great moments with this drama, unfortunately didn’t come without its equal amounts of meh executions. For me the very peak of this series were the first 4 episodes (very unpopular opinion ik). Then they just went wherever they pleased with its pacing. Couldn’t go 10 mins without questioning the logic behind many actions and dialogue. I could highly recommend this series to those that love this genre that arent nitpicky. Definitely wouldn’t say this is a blind recommendation type of drama.
Finally! I’ve been waiting for almost 2 years. The first time I watched the trailer was a year ago and I was…
First off... your profile is stunning. A plus that it’s centered around my favorite Korean actress. Secondly, same! Actually I’ve been stalking this title recently on iQIYI and some recommended titles are just as detailed and surreal as this. Haven’t started any of them just yet, but i do HIGHLY recommend “The Rebel” if you’re in need of a great all around series to suffice until this release
Watch for: -The chemistry and slow, rich development amongst the main cast. Strong characterizations.
Don’t watch for: -Decently developed supporting characters(anyone outside of the four leads, literally) -Closure -Consistent believable dialogue -Communication when needed most -Believable work backgrounds and logic
The clues were the constant present time scenes of an obvious separated friend group and single mother. The inconsistency…
Claiming it was realistic and feeling it was realistic are two different things. If you specified that in your initial comment then a correction isn’t needed, as it would just be your opinion. I’m no critic either but I’m also not blind to writing plummeting in quality. You spoke what you felt, as did I, the magic of posting comments open for discussion. Stay blessed.

The way they were falling apart was the inconsistency, not the end game of their relationship. There are logical ways they could have developed them into an inevitable separation, they chose not to and rushed it with nonsensical decisions. No idea how y’all watched the logic of the series go downhill for 2-3 episodes and only take the end result in consideration.
Must admit, this series was one of the most addictive yet hilariously bad dramas i laid eyes on. First time having to force myself to drop mediocrity. Can see how others liked it. Those wondering about the ending don’t worry, I’m sure it cant get that much worse than the rest of this drama logically.
It’s expected of most drama watchers to rather pretend it doesn’t exist by remaining in denial or dont pay…

Yeah i immediately made that comparison with the SL couple the second their conflict arose. I get Hee Do’s toleration is far smaller because of her past, and Baek’s passion to progress in his field. Neither of these aspects were expressed to the point of no discussion beforehand, no effort in rekindling, no patience in making rash decisions, too many realistic possibilities that could’ve been taken, just tossed down the drain for the sake of a rushed conclusion.
Yes, if that isn’t your forte this series won’t be an exception. It’s a slow and steady progression handled with the best writing in any revenge makjang currently out. Also have it’s fair share of edge of your seat moments throughout, but the drama has no problem knocking everything back to square one multiple times.
