I wonder how many people will start watching this drama after Minyoung mentioned the kissing scene.🤣
As soon as I read your comment I immediately went to look for the interview, and from the way PMY told the scene, I can't wait to see it too 😆

First of all, it's good that you've adjusted the tone of your comments. That said, it doesn’t make much sense…
Have you watched only 20 minutes of this drama? Good. Then your opinion isn't valid. Go ahead and watch other dramas; it's simple.

Seriously, how the heck are you going to change an entire industry in a country that isn't yours? I'm so curious!

You thought you ate with this comment, huh? You are just being paternalistic and ruining everybody's mood. You will not change the world by accusing everybody on this site, and that's it. Trust me. 😉

Another thing that I realized bc of Our Universe and Sirene's Kiss is that I have no desire to watch overly thin…
First of all, it's good that you've adjusted the tone of your comments. That said, it doesn’t make much sense to complain about an actress losing weight, especially in the comment section of this drama, since PMY lost weight specifically for this role. If it really bothers you, perhaps it’s best to skip this drama. I assure you, it’s easier than it seems.

Regarding plastic surgery, as far as I know, it’s more accepted in South Korea due to lower costs and cultural standards of beauty. However, it’s not something we can change, particularly on a site focused on dramas rather than actors’ personal choices.
Again, if this really bothers you, skipping the drama is the easiest solution, as these aspects are largely beyond our influence.

The focus should be on the actors' performances and the story, not their appearance.
Oh gosh, here you go again, complaining about celebrities' appearances, and you're quite comfortable doing that... If you're so focused on looks, why not make a list of actors and actresses you find attractive and stick to watching only their dramas? It would benefit both you and the rest of us.
By the way, this drama doesn't even focus on romance, so why are you here?

I'm so curious to know how you would have acted in those scenes. I have an idea, but I want to read your answer…
My question was genuine, and I don’t understand why you label it as “passive-aggressive”. Besides that, it was a simple question, so there is no need to be so defensive... I’m still curious to know if there is another way to portray a person with a trauma besides how PMY did it!

Also, how can you label their comment as a “honest opinion about acting” when all they did is criticize her appearance, and that’s it? They also wrote the same comment twice, btw!
Finally, since the way they wrote their comments, I’m sure they can defend themselves, so why are you defending them?

dropped, korea need to stop being US little puppet and insert their middle east terrorist propaganda, this isnt…
If that triggered you, it's okay if you decided to drop the drama, but don't act as if no humanitarian worker has ever died while trying to help innocent people in war zones.
In the drama, they only say that FL's boyfriend died while trying to do his job. He was a humanitarian worker for an NGO, and they usually work in war-torn territories (otherwise he wouldn't be there, don't you think?). They are not portraying the whole Middle East!

I guess lot's of kpop drama fans are obsessed with female lead acting like a naive bubbly girl
That's possible, but I also think that some people here just lack visual literacy, because there is no way anyone could watch these two episodes, even on mute or without subtitles 😆, and think the FL has no trauma, which makes her lack of emotions and her body shape unexplainable to them!

Reading some comments left me wondering if we watched the same two episodes, guys. The FL clearly has some unresolved trauma that makes her act the way she does, which affects both her mental and physical health. Otherwise, the character wouldn’t be taking tranquilizers or be so thin. So what’s the point of criticizing her facial expressions and body? Would you find her story more believable if she had a bubbly personality and no eating disorder? I just don’t get it.

FL didn't receive the insurance money. Why is ML involved in this? The main plot of the series is already ridiculous.…
I think if you look at it from ML's perspective, his behavior makes sense: he's an investigator looking for insurance fraud, but even though FL seems innocent, ML still believes she had something to do with their deaths. I also think he's driven by a sense of justice that he feels his sister never received, since the person he holds responsible for her death is still free.

Hating a drama before it's even started is so nonsensical. “You can tell this will flop” from what? From your personal preferences for looks? Do you think, seriously, that this is a valid reason? Like, make it make sense. 😅

Title Idol I
Since the beginning i had a feeling he did not mean to treat her bad. + I dont think he looks gross. And hey haters:…
What do you mean by "he didn't mean to treat her badly"? I think calling her "stinky," bullying her at school, and continuing to treat her poorly now that they're adults is a clear sign of how evil this character is, and he most likely won’t have a redemption arc.
Even just the fact that he doesn't respect the law and does what his father wants like a desperate puppy makes him deeply unlikable!

Can this Love be Translated was produced by foreigners using mostly asian actors. It is NOT a real kdrama. Period.…
I literally spent less than five minutes researching all the production companies, and guess what? They’re all Korean, so I don’t understand why you're saying otherwise.
Anyway, if you don’t like this drama, just say so; there’s no need to be stuck in unnecessarily long and absurd explanations about what is or is not a “real kdrama”.

My boy KSH speaks in so many languages but all these portions have no subs cause Netflix rules only allow translation…
I only watched the first episode, but it seemed to me that subtitles were added in every scene. 🤔
Netflix usually doesn’t display subtitles when the spoken language in a scene matches the subtitle language you choose. For example, I chose Italian subtitles, so there were no subtitles during the scenes spoken in Italian, but there were for the others. They also skipped subtitles for some lines to avoid repeating the same information twice (for example, when the ML translated), but apart from that, it doesn’t seem to me that anything is missing. ☺️

Can you give some examples of western propaganda and social engineering found in dramas? Just curious, thank you!
I think you’re the one living in a bubble, honestly. I've been watching dramas since 2018, and I've seen many that have depicted the darkest parts of every society (I mainly watch Korean, Japanese, and Thai dramas, btw), so I don’t quite get why you claim some arguments are absent in Asian dramas... 😅
Btw, you’re the one full of preconceptions because you are just romanticizing Asian cultures based solely on how life is portrayed in dramas, which is well-known to be far from reality most of the time! 😅

Sameee, I am always so strict when it comes to Italian speaking in kdramas, and don't even care when it comes…
Generally, I’m not strict when Korean actors (or anyone, to be honest) speak Italian. I know it’s a difficult language, especially if the speaker's native language is not a Romance language. However, this case is different because the ML is an interpreter, so my expectations are higher, and I’m also curious to see what it will be like! ☺️
