I mean, there is nothing wrong with sympathizing with a character more than another one, but most people here are threatening FL as if she killed someone, and ML as a poor, unfortunate soul. Which is wild for me, but oh well.

I think the story is more complex than this. I’m on episode 6 now, and I don’t get why people say that the drama wants to victimize her when the episodes I saw just show how both FL and ML care about each other (they have been in a 10-year relationship after all, so it’s normal) and how they're broken for different reasons. Also, most people seem not to know how attraction works, which is absurd to me.

What do you mean by “cheating is treathing too casually”? Should they have sent her to the gallows just to satisfy you? I mean, she cheated, and she did wrong, but it is not simply that; we’re talking about a 10-year relationship with the flaws that a relationship this long surely has, her being unsatisfied with her life in general, add the fact that attraction is not logical (so both FL and SML have no voice in this), plus FL did ask ML to break up in the earlier episodes, but he proposed to her. Treating FL as the supervillain in this story just because of that kiss is an oversimplification, in my opinion. Again, I’m not justifying her actions, but at the same time, I don’t think that reducing her to a cheater is right. Especially because she was there every time he needed her, or should we collectively forget about this just because she cheated?

Btw, this drama is called “A Love Other than Yours” so they probably would end up with SML and SFL, or single and go their own way.

I think it only depends on what type of characters you prefer to watch, because here nobody is flawless, and their way of dealing with problems is not always shareable. If you can get past that and watch the drama just for entertainment, I think you may like it, especially because it shows normal people who deal with their lives through good and bad choices. :D

Since the comment section is basically a FL hate train plus ML pity party, you made me want to pinpoint all the ML’s flaws because there is no way you treat his character as an angel and FL as the devil when it’s clear that they are both broken in their own way and their relationship was doomed even before the FL kissed SML. 🤦🏻‍♀️

People are influenced by this type of media when it comes to buying things or starting new habits, like running or whatever. I have never heard anyone say “I cheat because the FL in a drama cheated too.” It’s completely ridiculous, and cheating will never be normalized, especially if a woman does it. You only need to look at the comments section of this drama to see how people are treating her…

Beauty standards are a more fitting example of something that can easily be influenced by the media, but again, this has nothing to do with ethics, so why put it on the same level?

I'm halfway through the 5th episode rn, but I've also seen some scenes from episodes 6 and 7 here and there. I don't have the full picture yet, so imo there is no point in picking a side, even though I have an idea. I didn't read all the comments mostly because, as I said, I haven't watched all the episodes, but also because I want to judge the story myself first. I'm liking this drama and want to form my own opinions; there is no point in basing them on what other people are writing here.

Most of the negative comments I read here are about what the characters are gonna do or not do, or whining about a love triangle that is not even in the spotlight right now. Also, most of you seem to forget that this drama is based on a webtoon!

I was responding specifically to your point about “bullying the bullies not being an answer”. My point was that that part of the drama is meant as entertainment. It should not be considered a real-world solution to bullying, and again, the drama doesn’t present it as such!

Well, it’s just a drama. I don’t think they ever tried to offer a solution to juvenile bullying (and I also think it’s not their job). It’s basically just eye-for-an-eye entertainment and should only be seen in that way.

I just watched the first 2 episodes, and some details keep reminding me of Hometown Cha Cha Cha, which is neither a good nor bad thing; I just noticed this. 😊

I haven’t watched episode 4 yet, but based on the first 3 episodes, there’s been no indication of a love triangle. It’s clear that the SML has unrequited feelings for the FL, and that’s it. I don’t see why they would introduce a love triangle now, especially since they could have done it when she was looking for a husband. In my opinion, it wouldn’t make much sense to introduce it later in the series.
I’m not interested in arguing about this, but anyway, the comments I saw didn’t seem very calm to me. I’m not sure why you felt the need to speak for others, but it’s fine, it’s not a big deal!
