Exactly how I felt! I was so drained by the end, I didn't care about anything except the relief of finally being done with it.

The only reason given was that he fell in love with her voice (and vice versa for her); I'm guessing that's why the name of the drama has been changed to what it is now, though the book was more 'love my voice, love me'. 'Love at first hearing' is as rational as love at first sight, right? 😛

I agree with you on her being passive; I love the novel, but it really is pure fluff, and I'm sure there'll be some padding to add more substance to the drama overall, and to the FL specifically.

Definitely looking that way, unfortunately. Even if they’d planned on a season 2, they could’ve done better with the pacing; the Bloodmist Holy Land/competition arc dragged too much. With only two 30-min episodes left, there’s little hope of anything being wrapped up satisfactorily. The hope now is for there to actually be a season 2 and that it won’t take forever to air 😔

Eps 19 and 20 were well worth the long wait ... an overdose of sweetness 😊

I was able to watch the missing subs in the Youku app but Viki still doesn't have it, sadly. Hoping they put them later because I always have a Viki subscription but I only subscribe to Youku off and on.

On another note, I got teary-eyed hearing these words from TY, and they're almost exactly like the version in the book:

Yeah, from early days I remember the episode count was 72 (https://kisskh.at/profile/LucianYaz/feeds/rvVyrT5). I can do a 72-episode drama for Yang Zi but my biggest fear is the rumor that the two parts will air months apart.
