Now that IS is over, I was looking to get the last hurrah out of my YOUKU sub before I cancel, and I stumbled across this. I watched all 14 episodes today and I was looking for more; it sure is addictive 😅
I am a bit skeptical about Netflix subtitles though as they do tend to remove the subtleties to be able to cater…
Yes, Netflix subtitles do leave out important nuances but I love the platform for overall ease of use and I like sampling different subtitles for my favorite dramas.
I’m happily rewatching, revisiting my favorite scenes and discovering subtleties I missed in my first watch. While I was super grateful to watch while airing on the YOUKU app, the Viki subs are so much better, adding novelty to my rewatch experience 👏🏽 (And I’m still hoping it comes to Netflix in my region so I can look forward to another rewatch then 🙃)
if new user buy 3-monthts/1year VIP it will unlock express package of IS (54-49)how abt ppl who alr VIP user🙃🤦♀️…
Youku milking this for all its worth. I was looking forward to getting the express package but why would I pay even 3-months sub to their mediocre app when I probably won't be using it after I'm done with IS? And what about people who already paid for a quarter/full year, do they have to pay again to get the express package?? *SMH*
Do you think Chi Di deserves some punishment too? She was the one that chose him, and was in a master-student…
From what was portrayed, he became evil after her death due to all the means he used to try to bring her back to life, ultimately connecting with the evil god. I don't think his deeds should be laid at her feet in any way. And to be fair to her, she does notice something is not right with him early on after she came back to life (his fighting skills and music not being as pure as before etc) and eventually brings both him and herself to the emperor for punishment (for all the good that did!).
bro Rong Hao did so many evil deeds for his selfish love, I would be mad af if they just let him off easily just…
I feel the same. I already promised myself I'm downgrading my final score by a full point if my sense of justice is not appeased by the ending Rong Hao gets. He is the true devil (in its usual sense) in the whole drama and should be dealt with accordingly.
I'm watching random snippets of Ashes of Love that keeps cropping up on YouTube. Aside from Yang Zi being adorable…
AoL is one of my favorite dramas and the one I’ve rewatched the most (and still rewatch off and on, three years after first watching it) and I also have nothing against Jin Mi, but I don’t understand how anyone can watch Yan Dan for even a short space of time and say that she’s JinMi 2.0. It’s really mind boggling to me but also makes me appreciate how differently our minds work … to each his own 🤷🏽♀️
