IIRC, there was an internal monologue as to why she chose ‘kin’ and it made sense to me. Frankly, I’d probably think she was “naive and stupid” (and a masochist) to choose ‘lover’ so soon after what she’d just gone through.

I’m with you on this one; I never thought he was a bad guy, and I’m still hoping he won’t turn out to be. Not so much for the character himself, but I just want TY to have a genuine friend from the past.

As a binge-watcher, I always regret messing around with airing dramas but this time is the worst … what the heck was Youku thinking with this snail schedule?? To think this is going to drag on into mid-June … too aggravating 😢(Yeah, I can watch other dramas but all my interest now is bound up in BFTB 🤦🏽‍♀️)

I was all set to relax with the usual two new episodes but got slapped with a new schedule instead 😢

I would highly recommend Love Between Fairy and Demon for your first Chinese fantasy drama; it has an engaging story, great acting and, for a fantasy drama, it is relatively short at 36 episodes. It also has a good balance of heavy and light, and it keeps side stories closely tied to what is happening with the main leads (i.e. no useless tangents/fillers).

I love Chinese fantasy dramas and I've watched quite a few, and LBFAD was a wonderful breath of fresh air.
