After reading many threads in Viki's Forum about translating, editing, etc, I'd realized how important great translation is for the dramas, and that's when my appreciation started for all of you volunteers who do it for the love. One of the most important aspects IS the cultural flavor, and without, nothing is added for the richness of the country (or any others's) educational value for non-domestic viewers. In my own country and state, I value being able to learn the 'ways' of other regions and other states because I haven't had the pleasure of traveling to those other states. Dramas will become nothing more than generic, bland, one-size-fits-all, and I'll drop this one(s). The stories wouldn't be intrinsic to S Korea.

I've no suggestion or understanding of how the site could improve. However, I do know their shortcomings, and it's frustrating to dedicated viewers like me.

Terms, or names, given to conditions or mental health have evolved over the years to describe the unbearable flashbacks to the abuse one had received prior in life. Abuse isn't a 'one & done'. It's a LIFELONG process of healing from it. Triggers can set someone's healing back.

It's extremely callous to suggest the younger generation is weak in regards to a warning. People of ALL ages have trauma, and are aware of what sets off another round of punishing thoughts, grinding to a halt what they thought they had already healed from. I'm 68 and appreciate the Warnings due to having 4 out of the 18 listed which went on for 43 years, and no, I personally think no one actually ever completely heals from their traumas. Healing from trauma is life-long. Hopefully I have more years to read Trigger Warnings to help me decide IF I want to risk watching or not.

It is, irmar. I love seeing actors in breakaway roles and then excel in those roles. This goes for support actors too. So what # are you on compared to the rest of us who are waiting? No, I will never ask for details. Your kindness and dedication SO deserves more recognition. Much love to you❤️

Oh, and xiviex, guess what, we belivers KNOW "magic, changing future, having any power to change their lives in past, any sci-fi, fantasy" is fictional in a fictional drama. We don't find them offensive. We watch all of this with no complaints, unless God is disparaged directly. Any other religion would also find complaint if it were their god. King The Land received a huge backlash from viewers and the Arab community over the depiction of an Arab prince & their religion in general, as it should have.

I think you're throwing something into the wind just to see if it'll work. You said "facts', yet have offered no substantiated evidence.

I know several "believers" on MDL. We all watch the Genres and Tags you mentioned. We've all rated some of them, just like any other drama, highly. Pigeon-holing believers is the first discrepancy in your comment, and that specifically proves your facts are nothing but an ill informed opinion.

I'm not giving advice to any fake account. My comment stands alone. The link is for a thread on legal streaming sites, many of which MDL users haven't known about. Which account would you be referring to?

It seems to be a universal feeling, and it is nothing but emotions, to have a chip on one's shoulders the way the world is in 2024. Keeping one's peace in times of trouble will be harder and harder. I hate the word Try, but I will try to enjoy it.

Nuance doesn't come across, no. It's coming up on 3:30AM where I am right now. No sleep in 24 hours. I'll probably sound like I'm rambling. I'm late 60s. Age definitely helps. Our life experiences have shown us what is important and what isn't.

Too many nowadays seem to think just by someone offering their opinion equates to that person 'trying to force' their opinion upon others. I've yet in my long life to see someone actually forcing their opinion upon someone who has their own mind made up on issues, values, morals, etc. What does it entail to be forced? Drill into their brain? Hold them hostage and torture them until they willingly sign a piece of paper that says they've changed their opinion? What?

The above 'opinion' isn't an opinion. It's an old fashioned offensive rant bringing politics and religion and who knows what else bc I refuse to reread the comment, against someone they dislike immensely. It doesn't teach. It doesn't inform with credible sources. It isn't about an easily researched conviction of any kind, such as for sexual assault. It throws everything AND the kitchen sink in too.

Despite the haters, I'm going to finish. I want to see this to its conclusion. I'm intrigued, if nothing else.

In recent dramas some have the short curly bobs or just a short bob. I like bobs. Not with fringe on older women though, if it's messy. If sleek and stylish like Lee Na Young (45 yrs) had in One Day Off (fantastic, btw) it can look youthful, on a beautiful woman. She can pull off the fringe bc of her high forehead. So messy curly hair with or without a bob ages a woman's look by, at least, 10 yrs when they're younger, while older women tend toward cutting their hair shorter and shorter to get away from the old school thinking that longer hair ages a woman since they aren't 'youthful' anymore.

Same as thin brows or light colored brows being the first to age we women as we get get older. HUGE HINT: young women, please don't overtweeze now bc they won't grow back later. The actress looks like she's aged 10/15 yrs older just by having 2 no-nos for women when they get to a certain age and she's only 33. Wardrobe failed the FL character. I hope it changes the further along it goes (like during the dream). I've seen her in other dramas and this role is atrocious. My personal opinion, it's a step down for the actress.
