I've had multiple brain farts after watching episodes 5 & 6. Could someone please tell me who was murdered in 2021? Hae Joon mentions countless times the number of murders in 2021, with the first being the teacher (which changed when he sent her away on the bus). Who else was killed? Assume history won't be changed AFTER he saved the teacher from death.
Soth Korean entertainment agencies, both big and small, are notorious for cheating their clients -- even famous…
I should have included international after the word light. I'm sure native Koreans have known this for a long time, but we, international viewers are either just now paying attention to this side of the industry after failing to do so for however many years we've had access to SK dramas & movies, or not paying attention since some just don't care as long as it doesn't interfere with their access.
And yes, I'm one who has been paying attention. Can you imagine what they went through before the internet?!!
I agree with what you've said. Should be changed to LIGHT skin instead of white skin though. Light represents not having to work out in the sunlight which disguishes between social class, etc. Then again darker skin, as much as I abhor it, is seen as less intlligent, works out in the open instead of at a desk inside, and generlly of lesser social class. I don't see the world where everyone is equal regardless of color in my lifetime, what little time I have left since I'm older than dirt. I'm an idealist at heart, but a realist. I haven't started watching and I won't boycott it either. It depends on how bad a depiction a drama sends regarding certain people if I'll refuse to watch. I usually do when there's a moral issue associated with certain actors though.
All these issues coming to light about agencys and the entertainment industry. Sad they want the actors/actresses and other "staff" to carry the load, but don't deliver themselves.
No one is going to watch this garbage after you humiliated Heo Jung Min and just fired him for no reason after…
There's always 2 sides of a story. There's the Right side. The Wrong side. and What's in the middle. Public sentiment will prevail in this case either for him, or against him. The writer didn't have anything to do with it. It was the direction team, according to rumor. I don't know. I wasn't there.
I agree, sorta. He could still get lesser roles. I don't see it tho. BUT if the "news" has traveled internationally bc of Instagram then he invariably might be done. As 2.857e-7 said "he is older and experienced" so heknew taking it publically would possibly/probably destroy his career. The Entertainment INDUSTRY is an industry for profit. No matter how small they'll steer clear of smears. They talk amongst the industry. I kinda sorta feel bad for the guy. Nevertheless, he let emotion take control. Sounds like women petty infighting and it spilled over to the whole world thinking now he's a hot head troublemaker, steer clear. I love that MDL sometimes gives us food for thought based around articles such as this normally considered "gossip". (It's not gossip when rumors are CONFIRMED. In this case by him on IG.)
Lol no way there are some ex criminals that were in jail at some point and now they still are acting.
Seems SK locks up and releases the criminals after a slap on the hand, yet Netizens, media, etc will run someone who hasn't been indicted into the ground and give them a harsher sentence (majority public opinion). Career over. I hope he continues acting even IF given only bit parts onward.
He may very well knew he sabotaged his career by voicing his complaint.
EDIT: adding... 1. "we have decided that the image of Heo Jung Min did not go with the K-drama character that was offered to him." Hmm, what image kept him from the role? 2. WHO offered the "K-drama character" to Heo Jung Min?
Yes, I'm bored this afternoon, so bear with me. I see someone who has hit his frustration level by going to IG and airing his dirty laundry. Clearly he wasn't thinking.
The reference to Africa is disparaging and so ignorant. How is it a country (SK) doesn't think Africa is a nation/continent with an abundance of countries within its borders?
I suffered through the movie Three Summer Night (2015) this week, and it too disparaged the whole country of Africa. It shocked me with the ignorance. The movie was SO crude it forced my eyes opened to a side of Korean males I really didn't want to know. The movie is comparable to Weekend at Bernie's or The Hangover. HIGHLY unrecommendable.
i thought i would do that too, but i guess i have a lot of free time
Having free time is your time to do what you want. Relish your free time. I'm retired so all I have is free time and it isn't such a pleasure once you get to my age. This is the first time I've taken a dif strategy while watching a drama as it drops. I've only watched 1 other as it dropped before this one and I found the frustration level was exorbitant. So I had to find a better way, for me, to not have to wait until I binge once it's finished.
I hope this drama doesn't disappoint either one of us. So far it's looking good.
Me: Do NOT get ahead of yourself. Take 'em 2 at a time to lessen the frustration of waiting for EACH episode to drop. Then you have all week to rewatch the 2 newest episodes to get a better understanding before the next episodes come out. Monday & Tuesday, dear. Yes I talk to myself quite a bit, outloud.
Check yourself. White people are caucasian. The Asian region aren't considered "white" . They are their own "race", Asian. I've seen plenty of ignorant comments here on MDL, but yours ranks wayyyy up there for stupidity.
And yes, I'm one who has been paying attention. Can you imagine what they went through before the internet?!!
