My family member didn't die, yet we were all clueless. The abuse was taking place literally right under our noses in the same house. The clues fell in place once the abuser started on 3 other family members, which fortunately drew strong opposition from those directly affected. The family members NOT directly affected are still in denial that the abuse ever took place to begin with or that the abuse happened for YEARS. There was a pattern for the abuser. Personally, I told the abuser I'd kill him and he knew I meant it. In my family's case, it was too late for that one member. I reflect on this nightly before I close my eyes for my severe lack at the time.

From a personal experience perspective, which was the exact same as this controversy, I see both sides from the parents viewpoint (neglectful and bereaved). They ARE fundamentally to 'blame', yet were perhaps for reasons were in denial, or just didn't know. When they did face the reality, or when they did find out, the guilt would be almost too much to bear. They will reflect on this every night right before they go to sleep.

I believe adding her pic to this particular article adds no value whatsoever. Omitting her pic wouldn't lessen the impact of the article either. By not showing her (in a pic) how would it be unethical and "not doable"?

There's usually a pattern in one drama to another from one writer. I have quesioned one writer's life experience in the 5 year interim between dramas from his usual writing style. Michelle, from personal experience, she expected her firm grip on Yeong Beom to include HIS children, and her doing the chores was FOR him. The chores she was lamenting were for no other reason than to make her presence in their lives concrete. The mother would've become unhinged if her son or the dil had even suggested they'd hire a maid or a babysitter. Mothers like her demand loyalty from their preferred offspring. The dil is usually seen as the enemy, a wedge in their relationship, Her son was her life so the 'take' from their scenes was a confirmation of her completely unhealthy obsession with her son, including her 'complaints' which were actually her own doing. Ah, I'll keep this scene in mind when I rewatch the drama. I got the idiom, but couldn't recall that specific scene. Thus, maybe it's time for a rewatch. The area of my country has way too many idioms to compile into a short book. This one though, I understood the meaning, yet haven't ever heard anyone actually say it irl.
