Sadly, 2 years ago is enough time for me to forget specifics in a drama. Clarify please, not just for me, but for anyone else who might read this.

I really like the History, and Advanced feature which has the option to place a priority level on the dramas. What I don't like is if we change one minor thing in the Notes or on the rating or the Advanced, it throws it immediately onto our profile as Completed as if we completed it 2 minutes ago. I wish MDL would change this. Having gone back over my watches to add the OTT, why I dropped a show, what characters are stress inducing, or adding a priority level ends up with a list on my profile page that I saw years ago. I want the list to be what I've watched or dropped or PTW to be current. That way I don't have to scroll endlessly to find THE drama in PTW I'd added 3 or 4 days ago. *just ranting

I do so agree with you, except for one little thing. Netflix won't cut into their profits to hire "language experts". To me it's quantity over quality with NF. ***I can't stand to read the American idioms, when clearly to my ears it wasn't what was said. I guess that and more is why many think NF has westernized the Korean content.

Okay soEveryone is telling me, it's way more emotional then "Move To Heaven"And i shouldn't watch it if i don't…
I have both in a List for tearjerkers when I NEED an ugly cry to de-stress my life. WLGYT is very cathartic.

"because what am I going to do with myself once it's over?!" struggle to find anything of worth after this? The bar has been raised!!! And about time!!!

SO agree!

Because there's no point writing a 3 line long subtitle like VIKI does it. It's nonsense! You don't need to translate…
David33, Everything you said about the Viki fansubbers is WHY more like watching on Viki, learning from the translations when we don't know the language. Pausing to read longer subtitles doesn't take away any part of scenes. There's a 10 second replay for a reason. Read the subtitle, thn replay to listen to what is being said. This has helped many in learning the language. It enhances the scenes and our knowledge of the Korean culture.

I'm an advocate for a language's rich nuances and NOT for forcing ALL languages into one bland generic language.

OK I saw a headline and read this so I rushed right over to check out all of your comments about Netflix' subtitles.…
Netflix "has come under fire for its poor subtitle quality" for numerous Korean dramas, and has created geo-political controversies because of inept translations. It seems Netflix doesn't care as long as viewers tune in since they still make their profits.

I agree, yet in reality a parent or both parents DO favor one child over the others, sometimes, subtly, sometimes blatantly.

Haven’t started this yet. Is it worth watching?
Yes as it's a rare saga type drama exceptionally written. It isn't the usual fluffy mindless watch.

I made the mistake of watching episode 6 while at work....Yeah don't do that. Seriously just have your tissues…
At work? Knowing the first 5 Eps were emotion wreckers? Being mentally prepared doesn't lessen the impact for elders with grown children and grandchildren either. WLGYT hits every generation hard. ***read your profile and agree RIP Blockbuster, and I'm reminded of a drama or movie every week that I've seen and should add to Completed.

I love romance dramas, but the best ones are slice of life family dramas like this one. unfortunately there are…
WLGYT is more saga than slice of life as it spans from their birth to their old age/death.

Let's be real for a moment ... So, first of all, great series, terrific writing. So what I say now is not criticism.…
Pincolina, from your comment, I see you haven't understood much of the drama, or you haven't the life experience needed to really understand it or the characters. Rewatch much later in your life, and hopefully you will.

The scene where their son passed away was one of the most emotional moments I’ve ever experienced. It struck…
Not needing to replay the scene over and over, it brings tears to my eyes now just by reading your comment. How does one know a saga is truely a 'masterpiece'? When it takes only one word, or one pic, or one mention of the drama to bring the scenes forward immediately in our hearts and minds, and the full extent of the emotions that we had upon initial viewing.

ps. this isn't a slice of life, which carves out a small portion of the life of a character/s. It's a saga, such as Pachinko, which spans the characters' lives from birth to old age/death.

I keep crying every episode. I am starting to feel so annoyed with my own emotions! Things have become so ridiculous!…
Let the tears flow. You still have your humanity by not dismissing them. Empathy is what makes us human. Without it one is either a psychopath or a beast.

Wait, so you DID watch some of this, you just didn't finish it because you didn't like how they handled this plot…
It does.

It wasn't a jab. It's an observation of the countless comments that twist what other Users have said as if they hadn't read a bit of what was said.

I Edited my first comment. I was hoping viewers could see the subtle ways the entertainment industry normalizes what the broader public understands as unethical, etc.

Wait, so you DID watch some of this, you just didn't finish it because you didn't like how they handled this plot…
I haven't watched any of it. My question was for those who watched. I'd read comments, then asked the question before for the Ep that confirms when she knows he is an adult and got no reply. VenomGoblin said Ep 6, which would be halfway in a 12 Ep drama.

"Wait, so you DID watch some of this, you just didn't finish it because you didn't like how they handled this plot point?" is testament of our youth's inability to comprehend what they read.

Your last paragraph explains more into her conundrum and their dynamic. So she thought he was an adult at first sight, then when the character was known to be a student she had an internal conflict of reconciling what she initially thought of him with the student standing before her.

If, as you say, she "had to deal with/try to work past her leftover fluttery feelings from the previous interaction" I have 2 questions left IF I decide to take it out of the Not Interested list...In what episode did she first lay eyes on him with her mom, and why did it take until Ep 6 for her to KNOW he was actually an adult? Yes, you can add Spoilers, behind the Spoiler tag.

Thank you for replying with more detail. But please do refrain from making assumptions about a User.

I am absolutely loving every second of this drama. It is my favorite of the ones are are currently airing!
As well as to be expected amongst it all. My usual daily habit of reading the news has dropped to once a week so as not to be caught unaware on the issues of which I'm nterested, yet lessens the stress of a daily read. Oh, how I wish I was still working. At least dramas give a little respite. Much love, GoodRick.
