There are dramas, usually the sagas and older saegeuks, that are left void since I can't access them on an OTT I subscribe to and would give practically anything to watch. YET, your exceptional review, in a small way, makes me feel as if I had.
I am absolutely loving every second of this drama. It is my favorite of the ones are are currently airing!
Good. I was looking forward to it until I read about that particular scenario. I hope this finds you doing well amid all the chaos, GoodRick. Much love...
Yeah, although that's usually a huge weird issue for me, I think they played it off well enough with this one.…
"before that she was trying to stop herself from thinking anything more about him" while the viewers are handed rose-colored glasses so their personal morals, values, and integity are trivialized. Gotcha!

"they played it off well enough with this one." so it depends on the degree it's "played off" then for you. In which episode did she KNOW for a fact he wasn't underage?
Why would a viewer continue to watch a drama that shows an adult teacher having romantic feelings and interest for an underage student (set aside the viewers knowing the actor is an adult)? Are there exceptions to one's integrity, all for the sake of 'it's a drama and not real life' or 'well, she did eventually find out he wasn't underage'? This is a subtle example of how the entertainment industry as a whole glosses over the underaged with adults narrative, making it appear that it isn't a moral issue, and gives license to its proliferation. But do go on watching while crying that something needs to be done regarding the abuse by an actor of a young woman. Oh, the irony!!!
Edit: "a viewer" is directed mainly toward any User who has commented under the comment section of the articles and profiles of KSR and KSH. One can't scream pedo, groomer, etc then give a pass in other areas. "continue to" didn't need to be inserted. My objective is hoping viewers can see the subtle ways the entertainment industry normalizes what the broader public understands is unethical, etc. Personally, I won't watch to verify IF she'd known all along he was of adult age and NOT as student. Sometimes our stance on issues that have personally affected us do butt into our entertainment and I was really looking forward to this drama for my 'adopted grandson's comeback after his military enlistment. I'll wait for the next one. *spoiler for the length*
Fans of the actor or actress can't differentiate between them and the characters they're portraying. Those who mention the actors' or actresses' names and not the characters are telling on themselves.
This is making me remember the new controversy about influencer Sarah Kim. How could Guem Myeong pick a mama's…
She chose him bc he WAS so much like her father, until she learned one crucial lesson. Her father stood up for her mother over the objections & cruelty of his family, whereas Park Yeong Beom wouldn't or couldn't.
The lesser reviews here have been bullshitting about how this drama is not that good then end up the reason is…
Not being able to differentiate between an actor and actress and the characters they've taken on is their problem. They'll continue to experience heartache for their lack.
i’m so torn. i want to watch this so bad but i just don’t feel like i’ll survive the emotional damage this…
But this is good emotional damage. It's a drama that makes the viewer really think about life issues. I really wish I'd had the privilege of seeing this in my youth before I made some extremely bad decisions regarding relationships. Not that a stubborn young woman, as I was would've cared though. The drama has touched on the bad, as well as on my successes.
It does my heart good to see the elderly verteran actors and actresses being cast in significant roles. Their contributions add so much depth to dramas.
i have not seen this one yet but I heard there was a big cameo of kim seon ho , is that true??
Kim Seon Ho is cast in a Guest role. It's a very significant role in the show, and he will appear in multiple scenes and have a character arc. Unlike Support roles that have scenes throughout the episodes in a drama, a Guest role is limited to specific scenes in specific episodes.
